I don't want to get too much into politics here, but what does Latin America think of Manuel Zelaya. From what I understand, he was removed from power legally because the Honduras Supreme Court and congress had ruled that the changes he was making to the Honduran constitution were illegal and an abuse of power. And that the military was ordered by the Congress to remove him per Honduran law. But obviously, I don't live around there, so I don't know how true/untrue that is. Can anyone smarter on the situation enlighten me? FC

Ed, You're talking AT LEAST a few dozen aircraft affected. You can't get anyone to work on the Tu-160 FM...and that's just ONE aircraft. Everything right now is just a band aid at best. Things might improve once SF2I and the Suez campaign (with a P-51) are released by TK and FM gurus have a good SF2/Oct 08 prop FM to work from. FC

I'm an idiot...I forgot about the Forger which did use a liftfan system. I don't count the Freestyle since it never went into production. The liftfan in the X-35 was superior in performance to the X-32 direct lift system...not just in total thrust potential, but also because the X-35 system suffered less from hot air ingestion. FC

It didn't help that the 'lift engines' themselves weren't very powerful or efficient...which means you needed more of them...which adds to the weight... You get the idea. The technology of the time simply wasn't good enough. That's why though there have been a lot of attempts, the Kestrel/Harrier has been the only real 'successful' (in terms of production numbers) VTOL capable fighter. FC

I'm with jtin on this one. Make special missiles that have no warheads. The sim will still record the hits in the log, just no kills. This also keeps a realistic accounting of number of weapons. You can even do the same for the gun. For those who want to fight against AI, I've already got that set up in the AT-38B for training, with various aspect angle missions, a dedicated AI opponent that uses specific AI OPFOR weapons, even ROE for 'floor morts'. FC

If they are simple doors, you do not need an animation slot if they simply rotate. Just put the pivot like another surface, and 'animate' them like the F-15 intake ramps (as an example). FC
