Thanks to; Model, Weps and Skins by Gux FM by Column5 Avionics by Moonjumper and Jat Testing by USAFMTL Ps, The aircraft is working very well for me in SF2E. Only had to create gundata file for the 27MM_BK27. Could not get the Bk27 wave file sound to work so I have used the Vulcan Sound. All the rest you need is in KillerBee's Weapons pack for SF2. -

Single aircraft purchases?
James Fox replied to column5's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Yes I would be perpared to pay, but one question leads to another. Could I order planes? Would it stop there, could I order terrain and ground objects? After all Stock Vietnam Sea is pretty much done over by Agent Orange. -
File Name: A-4K LATE File Submitter: James Fox File Submitted: 10 Jun 2009 File Category: A-4 Skyhawk RNZAF SKYHAWKS; There is no real A-4K models made so these three use the closest Thirdwire models. These models are for WOX versions of Thirdwire games. If you have any Thirdwire WOX games and you extract all the required .lod files they will work in SF2 series games. However the SF2 models have been very much updated from WOX versions and look much, much better and have greater detail. Plus I am curtainly working on those SF2 models to bring A-4k's into SF2 series. These three models all use Truck-Lo's cockpit which is available in the Combat-Ace download section and included, plus can also be modded to use the A-4AR's cockpit as well. I do not know how different the A-4AR's cockpit is from the A-4K's cockpit, but believe to look at they are very similar. INSTALL; You just need to copy or drag and drop the aircraft into your Aircraft folders and tanks to be installed in the usual way. Note I do not know who made the green A-4K tank, because it has alway been there in my weapons folder. I think it may have come from Bunyaps Weapons orginally. It is also included in 331Killerbees pack. I have tinkered with the weapons loadout files a little and they may not be totally correct, feel free to amend if you want. They are set for fun rather that relistic. First model is A-4K Euro 1 which based on the stock Thirdwire A-4F, RNZAF A-4K's where late model A-4F without the tail top pod. Where originally painted in SEA camo, see A-4K SEA in Combat-Ace downloads which I painted for Truck-Lo. The Euro Camo came later, I cannot remember the date, then another upgrade happened and the hump became reduntant and was removed, I used Thirdwire A-4E, closest match. Then New Zealand brought A-4G from Austrailia sometime after the Austrailan Navy retired its last carrier. On entering service in NZ the A-4G's only had their markings and numbers changed, they remained in the tone grey camo. I've released as SF2 model only, not included here. Later the A-4K's and A-4G's where all upgraded to A-4K Kura, Hawk in English, and where all painted green. The A-4K Green 1 skin is fictional.I was playing around one wet weekend. Feel free to mode as you like but must remain Freeware. I have no problems with that and you do not need my permission to change, improve on and release. This is what makes ThirdWire and its Forums so great and helps it to keep going, for over seven years I think I read somewhere. Thanks to TK, Thirdwire To Truck-Lo To Bunyap and 331Killerbee And to Marcfighters, I used your A-4F Israeli model a lot as reference when I first started painting the SEA Camo. Helped me alot in find those strange parts on the templates. Ps, there are even more on TK's new models. I think I have found all the hinges now and where they are mapped. SF2 and SFV2 Issues
James Fox posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I have downloaded the May 09 hotfix from ThirdWire. I will not be installing it for a few hours yet, this is not my home computer. I have a problem with SF2 and SFV2 F105's. The secondary compass on the 105's canopy frame does not work, main compass does work. Plus Shift+F5 view there ia a hole in the aircraft you can see right through. Another problem is 2IRs on the F100's and F8's appearing wrong. For example there maybe two right sets or two left sets used. I have WOV and the appear correct there. Has anone else noticed this? Do I have to look at uninstalling and starting again. I have not modded any of these aircaft. They are still stock. Plus I have managed to get quite a few prop aircraft working well: P51, P47, the Bearcat, la-11, no static prop showing though. Wyvren work fine as well, still no prop showing from cocpit view but I can live with that. Tigercat works well as well too. Note you must put prop disks .bmp's into aircaft skin folder like canopy .tag's. -

SF2 and SFV2 Issues
James Fox replied to James Fox's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Will send some tomorow but looking at your shot mine does not show the cockpit bulk head, bottom center of shot. You would be able to see the runway on mine. Looks like the uninstall reinstall dance. PS I have not extracted much from the cat. files only some A-1 stuff, made mine flyable like everyone else has. Have not touched any F105 files, but previously to SF2V purchase and install, I had taken the F105 from WOV and had it flying in SF2. I followed all TK's instructions and removed all the addon files before installing SFV2. PLus I like this Shift + F5 view, much better that mirrors and LockOn has this view too. Hope in an Eagle, take off with full burners, pull into nearr verticle, watch the world get smaller fast. -
SF2 and SFV2 Issues
James Fox replied to James Fox's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Thank you for replying. Shift+F5, only with the F105, all TK models. I think looking back in Shift + F5, the canopy frame is missing? The 2IR'S or sinderwinder rails, the F100's inboard sidewider rails. Looking from the nose back along the aircraft one can see that left and right are the same eg, one rail is a little shorter than the other OK, which is correct and one should see from right to left a mirror setup from the other, not the same, for example, I cannot remember which way around they should be, say short side to the inside, not shortside inside right and shortside outside left. Same with F8. F8's sidewider rails appear just like the MF F8 rails. Looking from the front right top looks like cross and bottom an X. Right top looks like X and bottom a cross. Now I have been flying MF F8's with this setup and it does not really bug me, I can live with that. But I noticed over in WOV they appear correctly on TK's F8's and I was just asking to see if anyone else had noticed this. Was wondering if I needed to unistall everything and start again. I have a merded install. -
Mig-29 Centreline Fuel Tank for SF2
James Fox replied to Spinners's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
Thank You Spinners. So far getting the tank to show up in SF2 had failed me. I was successful in adding the F18 Super Bug tanks, Tornado Gr and F3 and getting them to show up in loadout screens and in game, but could not work out why the Mig 29's would not. Never thought of editing the Data File. -

SUU-23 with the new WOI patch
James Fox replied to Phantom160's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
To start off with I did not have a problem. Then it happened last night with the Suu-23 and Aden cannon pod. Also had sound continue to play while video froze. So I tested some more and had a couple of single missions go well with no problems then did one more and it locked up agin. I have nvida motherboard, cannot remember model, GTS 7900 WITH 512mb and nvida sound. I freashly installed WOI, then patched, latest only, then added MF new weapon pack.
