Here's a bit of drama for the FE (Gold or 2) Menu. Works best with Guitarclassic55's menu add-on. Theme: Palladio (K. Jenkins) with a bit of WW1 drama Installation: - Download & unrar into temp directory - Make copy of your existing files (sound files within 'sound' and 'flight' folders) - Copy/overwrite with extracted files Hope you like it -
still playing....now finally with cliffs (not perfect, but at least better than without)

A moving, shooting Tug Boat in FE2!
gterl replied to quack74's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
...just digging this one out. Question/Situation: - I'm having ships in the objects-folder (out of the North-Sea terrain) - Ship's show up (randomly) on my movements.ini truck routes ....of course on land, like on the first pic in the first post --> Is there any fix for this? --> Do I have to modify the ships within the objects folder and make them 'static' and move them into my respective terrain folder? Is that the only solution? thx in advance -
Thx for the review...nice to see you like the terrain

I'm glad you like it Are these pic's from FE2. As I've FE-Gold I wasn't sure about the usability for FE2. Btw here are a couple of books you guys might like. Have a couple of them and they're highly recommended. The White War: Life and Death on the Italian Front 1915-1919 CAPORETTO AND THE ISONZO CAMPAIGN: The Italian Front 1915-1918 Battles in the Alps: A History of the Italian Front of the First World War Caporetto 1917: Victory or Defeat? Touring the Italian Front 1917-1918: British, American, French & German Forces in Northern Italy (Battleground Europe) A Soldier on the Southern Front: The Classic Italian Memoir of World War I ...and of course Osprey Publishing (my main source, reading...) Italian Aces of World War 1 (Aircraft of the Aces) Austro Hungarian Aces of World War I The Austro-Hungarian Forces in World War I (1) The Austro-Hungarian Forces in World War I (2) The Italian Army of World War I (Men-at-Arms) Italian Arditi: Elite Assault Troops 1917-20 The Mediterranean Front 1914-1923 PS: Good that the 'Effects' issue could be solved (I wouldn't have known how to fix it)

Hi - don't know for FE2, sorry. But as for FE-Gold (FE1) this is a simple procedure - Say you've installed everything in c:\program files\first eagles 2 1. Copy the whole 'first eagles 2' folder 2. Paste it again within c.\program files and rename it as 'first eagles italy' (example) 3. Now within that installation you should still find an .exe file (main executable of the game) 4. Create a short-cut on your desktop where it points to the new one ...should work IMHO also with FE2 gt

just tried to download....no problems (file is ok) -> http://combatace.com/files/file/14440-italian-terrain-incl-1915-1917-campaign/

looking good! you might want to play around with the heightmap (feasable with the TDF tool), to slightly rise the forts...you know just 2-3 meters, this looks esp good with the sunset light

just noticed you're still using the old version of the 'forts' tiles. I've created new ones (different from each other) for Fort Vaux and Douaumont Have a look at my post about the latest version :-)

Hi it always troubled me, that TK didn't include the forts around Verdun At least for two of them this should now be fixed Fort Douaumont Fort Vaux Pls follow the readme in the attached file if you like it Douaumont_Vaux.rar cheers gt

Further enhanced Taken from original photos and played around with PS You now have distinct differences between fort Vaux and fort Douaumont 1. Add these lines (obviously change the numbering) to your WWIVERDUN_DATA.INI file (if you've already the one with FRFort.bmp you just have to add the one with the FRFort2.bmp). [TextureXXX] Filename=FRFort.bmp HasWater=0 Color=0.487298,0.464698,0.352547 SolidObjectTexture=Venkov.TGA AlphaObjectTexture=Stromy.TGA [TextureXXX] Filename=FRFort2.bmp HasWater=0 Color=0.487298,0.464698,0.352547 SolidObjectTexture=Venkov.TGA AlphaObjectTexture=Stromy.TGA 2. Drop the attached TFD file into your wwiVerdun terrain folder (replacing my older version) 3. Copy the attached bmp's into all the seasonal folder as explained in the first post ..have fun & let me know Douaumont_Vaux_V2.zip

Lohner....pls :-)
