  1. I do not think there is a SF2 version of the Bell or the Super Puma. Helikopter 15A was planned but the person who offered to skin it never came trough with that one. It would suffer from a lack of mission roles at any rate; It is a transportation and navy support chopper, not a combat bird.

  4. We will aim to release The Scandinavian Front Mega Package 2.0 this week. No promises, but that is our goal. FEATURES: New 512x512 Terrain Tiles by Przemek Starkiewicz; resident master of Terrains who have made sure that the Baltic region looks the part and steadily pushes the limits of the SF2 Engine. New Campaign: That is right. We did not settle with just upgrading the ones we already had, you will get a remake of the classic Operation Mannerheims Shield set in the year 2014. New Flyable Aircraft: F 16AM Falcon, F 18 Hornet, J 32E Lansen , The J 35J Draken, Danish & Finnish Drakens, SK-16 & Helikopter 15B amongst others, the Helicopter with its own Visby Operations Mission! While most of these have been available by talented modders for some time; we have now a proper playground for them. Others, such as Ravenclaws J 32E and the Helicopter 15B has never been released. New AI Aircraft: S 100C Argus, MiG 31BM, SU-25TM, Tu 16T Badger, Tu 22M3 Backfire as well as compatibility with the AI Planes Pack Su-9. New Ground Objects: Swedish Anti-Aircraft Units, Russian Amphibious Landing ship, Soveremmeny Class Destroyer, Kresta Class Cruiser and more. All new effects, including our own SweetFX Recipe and instructions for installation. A number of corrections, smoother code, changes and small additions to existing campaigns as well as numerous bug fixes. We hope you will be pleased.

  10. Yeah, I have to agree with Julhelm. I also think the touch compatibility is added by an exterior program and no changes to the actual SF2 Code. Also, if he never release any of his stuff until this point, what use is he to us? Seems to me he just wants to brag.

File Name: Open Ocean Carrier Battle Map File Submitter: JonathanRL File Submitted: 04 January 2014 File Category: Full Terrains This terrain is Starys Water-Only terrain, adjusted to be a Carrier duelling ground. It has two Carrier Stations and a few waypoints, as well as movement data to attack Convoys. There is no interference by ground based aircraft whatsoever, both Carriers has to rely on what they have available on their decks and is thus perfect for single missions. The Terrain can however also be used for Sea-Based Campaigns. Installation: Simply unzip into the Mod Folder of your choice. IMPORTANT NOTICE: This Terrain requires Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic This Terrain may require some management of your Ground Objects. The key to this Terrain is the Ocean_NATIONS.INI. This needs to be adjusted to create the scenario you wish. As of right now, it is set to USN vs Soviet. It is imperative that you choose a year where both nations have a Carrier; regardless of the nations chosen. Do note that it does not have to be a Red vs Blue Scenario. Brazilian Navy vs Indian Navy, Indian Navy vs US Navy, Soviet Navy vs Brazilian Navy and onwards are all fun combinations in their own way. Not to mention the classic "Argentine Navy vs Royal Navy" ;-) To spawn a Carrier Group, there needs to be a Carrier and Escorts. Make sure the Carrier can house the intended aircraft! Troubleshooting: There are a few issues that may arise with this terrain, and all of them are based on your Ground Objects: My Nations/Enemy Carrier is not spawning: Check that you added the correct nation in the Nations.ini Check that the Carrier can carry the size of your aircraft (Some carriers can only house "Small" Aircraft and will not spawn if you chosen a "Medium" aircraft) Make sure the Carrier has a Name List. My Carrier has no Escorts: Make sure you have nation-appropriate Escorts. Escorts are ships designated as Crusiers, Destroyers and Frigates. This is done in the vessels Data file (WarshipClass=FRIGATE) For some nations, you can download Escorts but for others, you need to edit them for the nation you wish to use. Recommended Mods for use with this Terrain: Soviet Navy Vertical Pack WW2 Naval Units SF2: NA Ultimate Carriers Pack CVN Ulyanovsk Recommend you look in the Add-On Ships Section for anything else you may need.   17. Like I said, this is all very weird to my and my expertise is sadly not terrains. All I can say is that these issues do not show up for me. I fly in the 2014/2020 period with Naval Search planes, Carriers, escorts and aircraft added into my personal little playground. The F-14 stops at 86, so maybe you should get the F-18 or the Mirage Factory F-14 package for blue side?   18. What year are you playing at? In the USN / Soviet setting, I found that any year after 1979 work for me and I only have stock USN assets and the vertical pack. I am sorry I cannot be of more help, but I do not encounter this issue myself.
  19. The other problems are exactly why I ask people to make sure they have the proper aircraft and ships before they try to play the map. If you have proper aircraft and ships for both sides, they do not appear.
  20. ... and sent a revised version (1.2). When you next see the file, it should be the updated version.
  21. Problem solved. Having a water map is simply not enough, it has to be in a 8bit BMP. Any other format and it goes to fuck-all. This explains A LOT of issues I had with them. That said, it does not solve all the issues. Now the Carriers seem to want to spawn a little all over the place, preferably as close to one another as possible without regard for the zones I put for them. I will see what can be done about that.
  22. The Fake Airfields are already there. They simply cannot spawn any Squadrons. That is how the map supports Campaigns. EDIT: Yeah, the water map is clearly the issue.
  23. I find it all very strange. I tried a mission as the Soviets using the vertical packs; I had no issues. That being a single mission of course. As regards to the mission editor, I experienced a similar thing there - unable to move task forces but I designed this for quick carrier battles; so you would not have to use the mission editor to edit out land-based aircraft every time - so I never paid it much attention. So long story short, use it for single missions and not mission editor. It seems like the carriers and task forces are for some reason added after the mission editing stage. Might be a side effect of no land based aircraft thing. I will take a look at the Water_BMP, the only file I could imagine is responsible for this.
  24. Fubar: It has a water map and I been testing the map for a week. It relies on two things. First all your Carrier must be large enough to carry your aircraft and you need to have the Carriers installed and on SF2: NA level. Also, you are not supposed to use a Backfire on this map. It is designed around the Carriers using their air wings. What fleet are you flying as, what year and what Aircraft?
