As far as I heard, in 1979, a Iranian F-14 Tomcat was delivered to the Soviet Union for trials. -

how to transfer the F-16 Netz cockpit to the F-16A's from NF5?
JonathanRL replied to slick cowboy's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Just copy this line: CockpitDataFile=F-16A_Netz_cockpit.ini into the .ini file of the Aircraft you wish to fly. Make sure it overwrites any other CockpitDataFile= entries. In three steps: 1: Open the .ini file of the Aircraft you wish to attach the cockpit to. 2: Find the CockpitDataFile= Entry (Control+F to search in Notepad) 3: Paste F-16A_Netz_cockpit.ini over whatever previous entry there was. If no entry exists, adding the cockpit will make the aircraft flyable. Done! Not much harder then that Now, this is for standard, non-mod cockpits. For modded cockpits, make sure the cockpit file in question and any folders named Cockpit is included as well. Good luck! -
What If Screenshot Thread.......

What-If Finnish Air Force A-4A Skyhawk During the war of 1956, the Finnish was given new Aircraft from an unlikely source. The Douglas Airplane Company donated 30 Aircraft to the Finnish Air Force during the course of the conflict, and not caring for their designation as Attack Aircraft, brought them into action as Air Defence Fighters. They proved more then a match for the MiGs of the Soviet Union, ending the war with 22 survivors, having scored over 60 MiG kills and several dozen destroyed strategic targets between them. -
Also known as "Last to get the stuff, yet first into the fight". Such men are rare! Treasure them!
-
You will find me in most of them :D

I wonder why. The Swedish Air Force historical flight has a civilian _Viggen_. Sure, they went trough purgatory and back to get the licence approved, but they got it and have it for several other Jet Fighters from 60s and 70s.

Winzip has a shareware version that does not run out. As long as you are just downloading and not need to compress yourself, Winrar will do the job admirably. -
Any one know who made this....

There is a Gladiator by Cocas; while that is not its skin, it certainly looks similar. http://combatace.com/files/file/11935-gladiator-mk-ii/ -
Here we go again. A raid is a military action. It is not an invasion. What you did was like Pearl Harbour, not D-Day. See the Difference?
-
The reason Sweden was never invaded is long standing Alliances. You ever wonder where Royal Navy got most of their wood for Nelsons fleet? YO! However, I do wonder if the list take into account the changing borders of nationstates or just applies the term "Invasion" to military or political action on current maps.

You really should get IL-2 1946 from Gog.com. http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/il_2_sturmovik_1946 Just a suggestion :) -

Better Than FRAPS
JonathanRL replied to RogerSmith's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Good tip. Its is absolutely less of systems hog. I suppose Fraps got a little too comfortable on the throne there a while. -
That is not a continuity problems; it was just not practice with the Republics Jedi at the time. It could be done in some instances and was a common occurance in the New Jedi Order (who admittidly had little choice in the matter). Also, Luke Skywalker is not an adult? However, C´baoth is a Clone of a Jedi who joined as a child so point is moot anyway. Retconning the Noghri story should be easy enough. Quite a few EU Works referencing to the Clone Wars got heavily bashed by the horrors that is the prequel - most significantly the mention of a fleet and army before the clone wars; not to mention everybody believed the clones to have been the bad guys.

It is by no measure an official decision tough similarities in such areas are common - like how paratroopers often have maroon berets. It all comes down to one thing. Tradition and it is often a tad difficult to see where the influences began and end. For example, in Sweden the general dress uniform for the Navy is Parade Uniform m/1987 with a Sea Coat as an accessory. http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paraduniform_m/1987

Patch Level Rant
JonathanRL replied to Z09SS's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Please do if you feel up to it. And yes, the logical step for TK should be resume the practice of Beta Testers. I cannot adjust my gaming experience to what others have experienced. All I can say is that I have never experienced any of what you describe. There is one bug, a landing strip bug where you was unable to take off from your airfield that I remember, but by the time I noticed it, a hotfix was already out. -
Patch Level Rant

Always using latest patch, never ever had any noticeable trouble. -
I think you should type with the normal font, and calm down with the smileys. Other then that, there is the SF2 Video Thread that I think suffices for the purpose.

Some people do try however I am not convinced "accident" is a proper word. There are movies who work for several or all age groups. Star Wars is clearly one of them and the original trilogy is Space Opera at its finest. While I agree its a take on the old 30s flicks, I still feel "accident" is a very inappropriate term for it. I discovered the movies myself while 7-8 years old so I have grown up with it with my small Star Wars collection mostly being trying to re-collect what I lost. It does not prevent me from loving the crap out of the games, especially the X-Wing Series. Same with the X-Wing series of books. Also, Joss Whedon + Thrawn Trilogy done right seems to be the current Star Wars Nerd Fantasy atm. If that happens, I would be so hyped words would be unable to convey it.

Disney, if you want to buy my loyalty to this, you will make TIE Fighter 2.

No, you where right. Please continue your most polish of existance. //Putin Honestly, I do not trust the Russians, but to blow up the entire Polish Government? That is a long step to take, especially that is would be considered an act of war if they got caught. That is Act of War with NATO too. I can think of little to nothing that could make the risk justifiable. It could not be used to strike fear into a new government, nor any of the Baltic States - you would have to admit guilt for that. If you are looking for foul play, always look for the motive. If you find the motive, you can usually take it from there.
