  1. I get a lot of messages asking what method I use to create my screenshots. I'm not saying they are the greatest but I like the results. Take what you like from it and tweak to fit your eye. I've uploaded a two part tutorial that may help some that want to take their great shots up a notch. This is not the only way to edit shots, it's just my way. If you'd like to give it a try, you'll find the link HERE I find it can be applied to any shot or any sim. SF FSX Enjoy.
  2. Thanks gentlemen. Fougamagister I have more tutorials on the way. The first two are just a start, there's a bit more I do that I will be happy to share for anyone interested.
  3. Glad to hear it Don. Now what size straight jacket should I reserve for ya?
  4. Really...I'm trying not to laugh. This is exactly why there are so few topsoil modders. We revert to a life of alcohol and talking to dead relatives.
  5. kevin-If you need the Photoshop layered files for any transition tiles, let me know, I'm fairly certain I have those saved. They may be useful.
  6. cocas - I'm fairly certain I have the texturelist.ini from that set backed up. Send me a pm if you need it as there are multiple unique tiles in the terrain.
  7. A long time ago I zipped up the terrain stuff I had been working on for the area. The project stalled for multiple reasons. Anyone that wants to continue the work is welcome to have the files in the state I left them. My memory is short on whats in the zip but I'm sure it was a good start. You can get the zip HERE This is what it was looking like way back then
  8. But Officer

Can you imagine this guy going 90 mph on his way to Dallas with these balloons trailing a few yards behind him? Instructions for a fun time on the interstate.............. Step 1. Tie balloons to car. Step 2. Drive like a bat out of hades.... Step 3. Watch people freak out!!!!

  11. SUPER BOWL

Just yankin your chain Mako. I hope Warner has his AARP insurance premiums paid up.
  12. SUPER BOWL

Quite frankly you should be ashamed to pull for a team out side your conference Mako you being a Pats fan and all. How'd that Ravens band wagon work out for ya? While the Steelers don't have or boast any Cheerleaders, they do bring something to the table .... a long day for ol' man Warner.
  13. Well there was no screenshot thread back when I did these, I'm gonna revive some of my favorites from days past.

  15. Patriots out

It was the two best records. Indy @ 12-4 and Baltimore @ 11-5. The difference was Baltimore was 8-4 in the conference and the Pats were 7-5.
  16. Nice shot thunder. This terrain has always been #1 in my heart.....and #1 for my liver, a lot of alcohol was consumed doing it :drinks_drunk: The trees sure do add some life. Good work Stary.
  17. A lot of the missing content will be going active over the the next fews days. 05 is feeding me tons of content to get on the site. I'll be working hard to get all of this formatted into site content over the w/e.
  18. A Different Christmas Poem

This was sent by a friend to me. I thought it was worth taking a moment to read. The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight. My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, Transforming the yard to a winter delight. The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve. My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep, Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep. In perfect contentment, or so it would seem, So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream. The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near, But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear. Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow. My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear, And I crept to the door just to see who was near. Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night, A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight. A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old, Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold. Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled, Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child. "What are you doing?" I asked without fear, "Come in this moment, it's freezing out here! Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve, You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!" For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift, Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts.. To the window that danced with a warm fire's light Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right, I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night." "It's my duty to stand at the front of the line, That separates you from the darkest of times. No one had to ask or beg or implore me, I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me. My Gramps died at ' Pearl on a day in December," Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers." My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ' Nam ', And now it is my turn and so, here I am. I've not seen my own son in more than a while, But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile. Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag, The red, white, and blue... an American flag. I can live through the cold and the being alone, Away from my family, my house and my home. I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet, I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat. I can carry the weight of killing another, Or lay down my life with my sister and brother.. Who stand at the front against any and all, To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall." " So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright, Your family is waiting and I'll be all right." "But isn't there something I can do, at the least, "Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast? It seems all too little for all that you've done, For being away from your wife and your son." Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret, "Just tell us you love us, and never forget. To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone, To stand your own watch, no matter how long. For when we come home, either standing or dead, To know you remember we fought and we bled. Is payment enough, and with that we will trust, That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."
  19. Thanks Tannethal ....I still lurk a bit when I have the time.
