Jesus man, rub some dirt on it and get back to work. It's standard 120v possibly 10-15A house current. We didn't even turn that breaker off to remod a home.

Fates - I love it. The first time I saw one it was a "what the hell is that?" moment. The second time and a closer look I had to have one. It's been rock solid, rides great, good performance (even better with the tons of aftermarket and TRD stuff out there ), and an extremely able off roader. The TRD version is even better but I don't do any hard core ORD activities. The interior is huge and I like the fact that there is no carpet and the interior is completely wet/mud friendly. The only negative is visibility out the back. I installed a rear-view camera and solved that.

Madasgascar Terrain and Campaign
Deuces posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...code=sst&id=537 File Name: Madasgascar Terrain and Campaign File Submitter: Deuces File Submitted: 6 Jul 2004 File Updated: 18 Jan 2007 File Category: Terrains Here is it, in all it spelndor and glory. Prepare to be amazed by the terrain. The campaign is just a small one so you all would have something to play with. It is nothing big as I have bigger plans for this little terrain. You need: AD's Su-17 and A-7B w/Column5 VA-93 skin. The AV-8C by Russ with the VMA-231 skin by me. The Mig-17 skin from Volks is included. Just put the campaign in your campaigns folder. The win, lose, stall.txt files go in the main campaign folder of your SF install. Put the terrain in your terrain folder, make a copy of the desert.cat file and rename it to AE.cat. Put Volks Mig-17 skin in the main Mig-17 folder and add this to the mig-17.ini [TextureSetxxx] Directory=mad Name=Mig-17F Madagascar Nation=Soviet Specular=0.30 Glossiness=0.85 Reflection=0.00 xxx being the next number in the sequence. Special Thanks to Deuces for his hard work on this terrain. Click here to download this file -
Armour Dave's website and addons

Streak-I was sub-hosting AmourDave's site. He had full control and looking at it through ftp, the files have been removed. I'm assuming he did this. -

So what happen to the 2 categories, edited and unedited, as posted in the rules? Seems there has always only been one selected. -

klav-that is one fine shot my friend! I have plans to bring my site back online that will be dedicated to offering framed, matted shots I've done (not sure if you've seen any). If you would like to colaborate on a joint effort, get in touch w/me via pm. -
Amen Weasel. The "game" is what I want from a game...mindless fun. I've been running multiplayer with some buds and haven't had that much fun or laughed so hard in years. It's no sim and I don't think it's ever been presented that way. It is plain old arcade fun with great graphics, damage, and runs smooth as silk both single and mplayer. I'm enjoying the single player as a change of pace. It's the only chance I'll get to blow millions of $$ on cars, hiring and firing teammates. It ain't for the hardcore drivers but it is a damn good time.

Speaking of shader effects
Deuces replied to Fubar512's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
We'll always be slaves to pixel size...but it's not the size of the pixel....it's how you use it There are interesting entries in there...slowing the movement of the water effect is one I prefer. It's definitely worth fooling with. -
Speaking of shader effects
Deuces replied to Fubar512's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
You'll need a copy of FX Composer (don't get the 2.5 beta) from Nvidia. I'd make a backup obviuosly before messin with it but some of the stuff is fairly obvious. Should make for some cool stuff. -
Speaking of shader effects
Deuces replied to Fubar512's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Actually, the distance of the shader is controlled in the fx file. I've extended the distance as well as changed the direction of the water flow. Original: const half StartFadeDist = 500.0; const half EndFadeDist1 = 4000.0; const half EndFadeDist2 = 8000.0; const half SpeckleAmount = 0.7; Changed mine to: const half StartFadeDist = 1000.0; const half EndFadeDist1 = 8000.0; const half EndFadeDist2 = 18000.0; const half SpeckleAmount = 0.7; Other notable lines to play with: const half3 SpecularColor : SPECULAR_LIGHT_COLOR = { 0.8, 0.8, 0.8 }; const half3 WindVelocity /*: WIND_VELOCITY */ = { -3.0, 1.0, 0.0 }; -

TGA frustrations
Deuces replied to FastCargo's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
FC-real quick painless tgas-Applies to PS, not sure anything else Create your background image to size-fill the background with a solid pure Red, Blue, or Green. (I use Blue for trees textures) RGB value for Blue would be 0,0,255 Place your object and go to your channels pallet-select only the blue channel (again Red or Green works just as well) Right click the channel and duplicate Select invert and OK Rename the channel (you could do this on the duplicate popup also) You have a perfect Alpha channel. You can paint bleck or white from here on the Alpha if you need to expose or hide any on the original. Save as tga 32bit. Done. Cheers -
Sure jimmyBib. All are welcome. It's open right now as "Deuces Bar n Grill" We do lock it every now and then to keep the punks out, I'll pm you the password.
