    See if this helps. SF Squadronlist It's a lil database driven app I did awhile ago that a few were maintaining. I don't think they've bother with it much lately so if you'd like to have a go at it, I can give ya admin access to add to it.

  3. gumpy, the updated WOE was a preliminary release. I have a SFP1 version nearly done, DBS and then I'll do WOV. Stay tuned.

  6. This is a known issue and easily resolved. You can copy the Targa.8BI from your Photoshop XXX\Plug-Ins\File Formats and paste it into you Photoshop 7.0\Plug-Ins\File Formats. It'll work fine then. or go here http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1544
  7. Ah rgr. I was always taught good enough is a cop out for something that could be better. That said I put together an early preview while I work on some of the others color schemes. This is for WOE and for my WOE terrain so you'll need that. Just dump all the files in your Wings Over Europe\Terrain\GermanyCE folder. DOWNLOAD HERE

  9. Should be no different than the stock water. New textures including a new bump map bmp. All the files are the same size as stock so I would not expect any unusal hits in frames.
  10. I will have several versions(colors) for you guys to use as you please for any terrain projects you might be working on or want to improve. It will be up to you to do the transitional(coastal) tiles but I can provide PS templates for the stock shapes to make your lives easier.

  14. Well Son of a B.... How long has this been out and just now found? I'll post a fix for you in about 10 min BadFrank.
  15. SidDogg- Are you using Photoshop? If so under Image-Mode-Select Indexed color rather than RGB. I'd explain the difference between Indexed color and Truecolor but I hate typing and it really doesn't matter as long as you make the change in you image program.
  16. BMP's for heightmap imports are 8bit indexed bmp's.
  17. I gotta wholeheartedly agree with you Paul. While I am all in favor of capitolism, I don't think I could ever bring myself to charge for any mod I've done or plan to do. Just not my style. The price seems a bit steep for what appears to be GoogleEarth screen caps ( if they are I hope someone read the EULA about commercial use from these types of apps). But hey, PT Barnum said it all. Good luck with the sale, I hope they weren't a rushed project and remember....at SFMODS no bank accounts, wallets or piggy banks were hurt in the creation or delivery of those mods.

  19. One thing that is pretty important for Photoshop editing and forgive me as this is redundant. Load the terrain palette.act as your color palette so you have the correct colors for the TE to read the heights. Paint using these colors and as you can see the colors represent differing changes in height.
  20. eraser_tr-It will look for an adjoining DEM file if your terrain happens to fall into two DEM areas. when the second box pops up, note the file it is looking for and download that also. It will work just fine. I've had it request up to 3 DEM's for certain areas depending on Lat/Long specified.
  21. Well my SF adventures started here when it was Biohazcentral so I only see it fitting I move my base of operations back here. With that I'm announcing the start of a large project in the form of Effects Pack #4. With this pack I plan to sift through each of the emitters and effects in the game to hopefully improve the visuals. I don't build planes but I do like blowing them up as well as anything else that moves or has a chance of exploding. Some of EP#3 will carry over but some will be revamped. First up is some new ground object fires. Video can be seen HERE If you guys have an area in the game, effects wise, that just doesn't look right, feel free to post here and I will do my best to look into it. New effect reccomendations are welcome but the core effects and any I've previously done will get priority. Just for the record, it will be MORE than 2 weeks before release.
  22. Well I don't do much in the "Enviro" area as far as effects, too much of that is hard coded and not easily or even posible to create. Did snow effect already, not sure if MajorLee included it in the DBS project.

Tools required before entering the black magic that is the Terrain Editor: 1-Case Jack Daniels, black label 3- Bottles Asprin, Excedrin Extra Strength is suggested 1-Piece of thick leather or anything suitable to bite down on to keep you from screaming out loud 1-Large black board to write "What was i thinking" on 1000 times Other than that you should be fine.
