  1. i have max 2011, i just havent gotten around to transfering the license to my new system, but i can still boot my old system and use 2011. there is a guide some where on the forums that explain the 3d modeling requirements for the EDM format.

  3. F 16 Oskosh crash

    Reversed,. The F-16 Canopy Fogging was a contributing factor but not the cause of the crash, if the weather conditions were noted, he should have had the defogger on before he taxi'd. His wingman didnt seem to have that problem. No Speed Brake + Landing about 1/3 down the landing strip + no aero braking. The Pilot Lost his SA and Ran his F-16 into the Mud. (in hind sight, ejecting the canopy with a crowd below you was prolly not a good idea.) I dont see any pilot lasting long in a Night flight, wearing WINTER Gear and NVG, and have their oxygen cut off.

  6. i think you have to purchase a module and activate it to play online (at least it was that way in the beta of DCSW) I wasnt late intentionally, i just had to plan, purchase and build my new rig before i bought any DCS titles, and even that was delayed by defected/failed components, which only forced me to buy even better components, that and the steam sale, where I got DCS A-10C for $13...   7. do you know how much people spend on FSX Terrain Addons Alone? BS2 was to bring BlackShark to the Same level as A-10C1.1.1.1, so they could be integrated in multi-player. DCS World is a Shell of engines, it creates a standardized application environment, which makes it easier and quicker to integrate complex content. Flaming Cliffs 3 is to bring Flaming Cliffs Aircraft to the DCS World Level. (Visually and Flight model wise at least, not sure if all the Pits will be clickable and stuff). DCS A10 and BS2 have both been upgraded to the DCSWorld Level.
  8. DCS World is Free, and you get the SU25T for free with it, i dont think you can play online unless you buy a Module. Next time steam has a Sale on DCS A-10C, Buy it, dont download it from steam, goto DCS's site, download the A-10C 1.1.1.1 Standalone installer, Install it,, and use your Steam key to activate it. Then download and Install the DCS A-10C DCS World Module. Most of us are running the DCSWorld and DCS A-10C 1.1.1.1 Side by side because World still has some Multi-player bugs. i think I've spent about $12 on DCS A-10C. Modules Currently In Beta: P-51D MIG-21bis Modules in Development Beczl: MIG-21bis, MIG-23MF (possible SU-22) Iris Simulations: F-14D, F22A, T-38, F-15E (Originally stated F-14 would be done first, but i think his MicroJet test bed will be done first) CoreTex Designs: F-18E VEAO: Bae hawk and EuroFighter RAZBAM: AV-8B, with plans for A-6, A7, A-4, F-4 variants and a bunch of others over a time period.     None, the A-4s they had are retired as well as the MB339 Squadrons. Their deal to purchase F-16s in 2000 was denied.

  12. Avionics Stutter when using Avionics 60 dll. People need to start posting their Catalyst Control Center Settings, I Still think its linked to A GPU Setting in CCC, there was a lot of stuff added to Cat 12.3 and above.
  13. Ditto. This weekend, I'm prolly gonna wipe my SF2 folders, and Re-install w/ all the patches, see if I can re-create this Avionics Stuttering bug. Also gonna dig through DLLs and stuff to see if there isnt a way I can change what is displayed on the Debug HUD. (Something Like Mesh Name, that displays the name of the mesh the "X" is on would be useful, but im looking more for something else).

TBH, CombatAce has enough 3d Modelers, Texture Artists, and Flight model people, We could start a CombatAce Studio for DCS Planes, and Build Modules of 60s/70s jets w/ AFMs on a crazy quick pace. Charge $15 or so each, split the money to the people that did the work for each module. Most of the 3rd party DCS Modules are still a year or 2 away, because they are either still working on FSX Projects, or they are trying to One/Two man the entire project.
  15. oops, yeah forgot about that... at some point wouldnt it be counter productive to keep trying to develop new content whilst putting out micro patches every 30 days. you're either a. build content import into engine, test, test, test, patch it to latest code level, crap, something broke this/that. b. build content import into engine, test, patch, test, patch, before you can test, patch, oops something is broken. wouldn't it bee more feasible to just patch the game up, get everything working as it should, then import content into it, add feature, test, release, move on to next content set, test, release. <shrug>

  17. ironically the DCS SuperBug is using a Pre-made Model from MeshFactory or something, and tbh, it looks crazy similar to yours.

    GetDataback NTFS = Your Best Friend, Just stop Writing to the Drive, hook it as a non Boot drive in another system, run GDB,Ntfs Full scan, and your gold. unless you write 0s to your drive, or over write the sectors, your data is technically still there. if only it was where it's at now, back in 2004, I wouldnt have lost 5 years worth of video editing footage. (Since Reformated and Filled up the drive, so the data is essentially gone).
  19. or from one of the whistle blowers hand books... offer them some dough, scan the required pages with flight envelope data on it, input into AFM. Im not one for the F-22, so.. I'll Stick with 80s/90s Fighters. (F-14, F-15, F-16, F-18 and some 60/s70s Aircraft (F-4, A-4, F-5). I wont be flying migs, sorry, not my cup of tea, TBH out of all of them I'll Prolly be in the F-14D and F-18E more than anything. as I already know most of the procedures for them switchology wise.
  20. What's your job again? I wouldnt mind $35/hour... $9/hr is getting thin, and Contracts are getting few and farther between for 3d stuff, and video contracts are getting so low ball for 5 days of work, i'd be better off working my full time job at $9/hr instead of signing the contract.
  21. the only DLC I'd be interested in, is already covered via 3rd party to the point that it wouldnt make sense to even bother with it (F-14B/D, F-16x Blk XX)
  22. and he actually paid for it to be a "Sponsored" update, so it shows up in my feed 3 or 4 times a day as recent. lol Strike Fighters Anthology (All of them SF2, SF2V, SF2E, SF2I, Exp1, Exp2, SF2NA, Merged and updated for $59.99) would be a nice way to package things.
  23. the new users dont have the luxury of "not patching" to avoid some of the newly introduced bugs.
  24. yeah the SF2 SuperBug seems "too" easy to fly, and too hard to pull off the maneuvers they do in the tach demo.
