  1. Here is a picture to illustrate that:
  2. Just an idea: check if there are lines starting with "DiameterLimit=" or similar in the AIM-7 station entries. (And a note in brackets: the F-4S (and B/J/N) had the chaff and flare dispensers on the top of the rear fuselage, unlike in the case of USAF Phantoms, which had them on the rear part of the innerwing pylons.)
  3. Been playing with the Chaparral recently and had similar issues. I tried fiddling with the missile's parameters, and increasing the field of view seemed to solve the problem (or at least increased the frequency of missile launches). Perhaps an increased FOV (40-50 degrees) is no too historically correct for the Chaparral, but at least it seems to work now... IIRC the SA-8 explodes because of a misplaced missile. When the launcher fires that missile it basically "hits itself" with it and explodes. Try checking the missile positions in the launcher's data.ini. And, IIRC, in case of the HAWK, the culprit is an incorrect hitbox. Try to change (i.e. decrease) the Min and MaxExtentPositions in the launchers data.ini.
  4. The AN/ALQ-99 is the one used on the Prowlers. The one in the pic above IMHO is an AN/ALQ-131 Self Protection Jammer Pod. http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/equip/an-alq-131.htm

Try http://www.xwaupgrade.com/ and http://www.darksaber.gaylenol.com/. On these sites you will find several other links as well.

Yes, XWA is moddable. You can add new craft, missions, campaigns and there are total conversion packs as well.
  7. The first Armee de l'Air Super Sabre arrived in France on May 1, 1958. (Taken from http://home.att.net/~jbaugher1/f100_9.html)
  8. Hi, IIRC the Fury included in Taiwan Straits 1958 ALL-INCLUSIVE Campaign Mod is equipped with a virtual tailhook.
  9. It can be done. Unfortunately I cannot recall whose idea it is orignally, but it is possible to have multiple droptanks on the same station. Here is what you should do: Insert the following data under the last weapon station in the a/c's data.ini: [LeftWingStationWetSilver] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=X StationGroupID=3 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=-3.27,-2.62,-0.18 AttachmentAngles=0.0,-5.0,0.0 LoadLimit=1600 AllowedWeaponClass=FT AttachmentType=USAF ModelNodeName= PylonMass=108.41 PylonDragArea=0.06 FuelTankName=TANK450_F105S ShowFromCockpit=TRUE [RightWingStationWetSilver] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=X+1 StationGroupID=3 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=3.27,-2.62,-0.18 AttachmentAngles=0.0,-5.0,0.0 LoadLimit=1600 AllowedWeaponClass=FT AttachmentType=USAF ModelNodeName= PylonMass=108.41 PylonDragArea=0.06 FuelTankName=TANK450_F105S ShowFromCockpit=TRUE Check the StationID of the last weapon station and renumber the two StationIDs (marked red) accordingly. The StationGroupIDs should remain unchanged. Finally find the components that lists the original LeftWingStationWet and RightWingStationWet as systems (should be the inner or the outer wings) and at the bottom of each section add the following lines: SystemName[XXX]=LeftWingStationWetSilver and SystemName[XXX]=RightWingStationWetSilver The 'XXX' entries should be replaced with the next number in line. Now you are done. Well, it may seem confusing (sorry, I'm away from home right now, so I cannot be more specific), but I hope it helps.
  10. Hi, IIRC it is an AI-only plane by default, so you have to assign a cockpit to it to make it flyable.
  11. The F-105 was part of the Century series. I second this.

  13. The direct link doesn't seem to work, so to see pix of 66-0382 do the following: Click this link. In the 'Registration:' field enter 66-0382, and finally click 'Show me the photos!'
  14. (Taken from Joe Baugher's website.)
  15. CM dispensers on Marineflieger F-104Gs: http://www.916-starfighter.de/Large/2660.htm http://www.916-starfighter.de/Large/2433.htm AFAIK they were used from the early 1980s.
  16. The wing pylons of the F-15A were re-positioned in the last patch. Is it possible that you use a _data.ini extracted from the previous version of WoE? (I know you wrote you hadn't tweaked it, but who knows...)
  17. IIRC there should be a planning map in the package. As for the terrain textures, I suggest this set.
  18. I think not only Tomcats tend to that. IIRC I've already seen Phantoms and Floggers doing so as well.

AFAIK there is no such conversion. For the X-Wing Alliance level (I suppose you refer to graphics and gameplay) you still need to have XWA...
  20. Indeed, the A-4B, C and E use the same bitmaps. However some texture files of the A-4F (fuselage and tail) are slighty different. (Some parts had to be re-located because of the avionics hump.)

Hi, I think it is some compatibility issue with XP. I had the same problem some time ago with XvT as well. IIRC, a fix I downloaded from somewhere solved my problem. On this page you can find a compatibility fix. I know it says it is for X-W 95 and T-F 95, but, if my memory serves me well, this was the fix that solved my problem.
  22. Considering the fact that only 19 Intruders were converted to A-6B standards, I guess only a handful could be assigned to each squadron. The following quotation (http://www.aero-web.org/specs/grumman/a-6b.htm) seems to suport this:

    Blade has the ball.
  24. Keep using the GermanyCE.cat. IMHO what you need is a tile set only (see the link in my post above). And here is the relevant topic from the Knowledge Base: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=12230.
  25. Hi, Try downloading a texture set for the desert terrain. The Suez terrain is default to the stock SFP1 desert texture, however the GermanyCE.cat file you use contains a different set of terrain texture files. IMHO that may be the problem. I recommend this.
