As we've exhausted the lyrics to that album (only 10 songs and several lack lyrics), I'll point out that Wish You Were Here was an awesome album often overlooked wedged between Dark Side and The Wall, their 2 towering achievments. So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have you found? The same old fears. Wish you were here...

Now remove all the MMOs and what do you get?

Airman from my former unit awarded Air Force Cross

It just sounds redundant to me, maybe it's just a bad name. It sounds like something 99% of the military SHOULD have. -

AvLeak is an old nickname for it. -
The stock cockpits themselves aren't WS. The ENGINE supports it, but the artwork wasn't redone. As mentioned, you need Aeyes or some other 3rd party pit for that.

Don't care about BF1943. It's not a BF42 sequel, it's just BF42-looking maps and units with updated graphics and super-dumbed down gameplay.

The funny part is how many times they TRIED to make a lighter ep and failed at it miserably! Taking A Break From All Your Worries was deliberately named after the Cheers theme and was supposed to be a more lighthearted ep...and in it Baltar gets tortured in that faux deprivation tank!

I've seen those AFCMs all over the base here, and it seems like it's a different version of the "CGO of the quarter" award or something for how many have it and how many there are awarded. So what do you guys think about this return of the Good Conduct Medal? Will there be a Perfect Attendance Medal and a Good Hygiene Medal next? -
Not really too many surprises in the end.

Said the Joker to the Batman. I can't believe it's done, just over 5 yrs after it started. Well, we still have The Plan this fall, to make it around 6 yrs, but that won't be the same thing.

Not only did I get the binder version, but I got the Prima guide that went with it and covered some other areas. Last time I bought one of those, 10 years ago now!

That was...something. While I think it was great overall, the resolutions of a few of the characters left me feeling a little hollow, and one in particular I found a bit irritatingly vague!

We had an airman get a Bronze Star over here a few years back for something you might not ever think of. He was an air traffic controller who after a mind-numbingly long flight into Iraq stood up at the tower there and stayed on duty nonstop for something like 36 hrs without leaving. There was no one else qualified to man the tower and there were tons of planes going back and forth, so he just stayed and had people make him coffee or something I guess! He only left when a qualified replacement finally arrived. So while he never fought the enemy directly, he went above and beyond to make sure those who did were able to timely and safely. -
Boeing unveils new F-15 Silent Eagle

Remember any senators or other gov't officials from WA or other Boeing-related areas are going to blast the F-35 because it's NOT Boeing. That's just how it is. Also, any from TX and GA are going to love it, just because it's from Lockheed. The sticky point is the whole F-22/F-35 balance since they're the same company. -
THIRD WIRE FEATURES

I want more from the MP side. Just the ability to fly missions instead of random 16 plane/4 types starting in the air would be great. A campaign in MP would be a dream. -

Someone's buying Sukhoi's marketing on the cheap. I can't quite figure out how a plane from the late 70s is ahead of a plane from the mid 90s... -

This thread is about the real plane, so that's where it belongs. This forum is where people talk about planes in the TW sims. -

That's ridiculous! Everyone knows Italian food is better, French food just costs more! -
The F-104 I think was the first major Mach 2 fighter. We had ones before that which couldn't reach close to Mach 2.

Friends don't let friends ruin a marriage over NF3. -
Right, and that was my main point to begin with. Knowing how much time I have available to dedicate to it, I can't justify paying for P3 to myself. I know several people who buy a game, play it one or maybe 2 days, and then never touch it again because with their limited time they're on to the next one already! I also know a guy who makes excuse after excuse for not buying a given new game and then instead replays game X for the 5th time (like playing the KOTOR RPG 4 times at 50hrs/each!) In their case, though, I think they have less money than they pretend to and can't afford to buy games even at $20 very often! So for WWI fans with the time I think OFF is definitely worth a look. For those like me, however, who has spent probably 45% of my flight time in jets and 45% in WWII, WWI stuff just takes a back seat. I even DL'd the MAW mod for CFS3 on its release...and still haven't installed it!!

Wasn't the sound from Krakatoa heard hundreds of miles away?

I know the MiG-17 was the first major Soviet fighter to have it. I've no idea which was the first significant US fighter to have it.

Actually, due to the economics of ramping up production the early JSFs will cost MORE than F-22s do now.
