The 2 Vegas games were at least better than that coding abortion called "Lockdown."

Yeah, it's an nvidia driver problem with DW and FSAA. Turn off FSAA and it should stop. Kinda sucks, but that's all you can do.

Documentary's about aviation.
JediMaster replied to Flegmatica's topic in Military and General Aviation
I loved the Wings of the Luftwaffe and Wings of the Red Star series. -
I haven't seen Vanessa around in a few days, actually. I'm sure Nicki will chime in soon enough.

I will say having used iTunes as well as WMP and the software that came with my Creative Zen and some of the wife's earlier MP3s I do NOT care for iTunes much at all. I prefer buying songs from Amazon anyway. Unfortunately the wife bought a bunch of protected WMAs from Walmart.com and the ipod won't go there. So we have to re-rip the CDs we burned of them, losing quality in the process. What does it mean when a song has a ! next to the number? It seems to mean "You're not getting THIS on there!!" My Zen has the best software for loading stuff I've tried, it's just not entirely stable. Sometimes I'll click to open a folder and it just shuts down! No errors, just like I clicked close.

Which Do You Prefer?
JediMaster replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Not done it in a TW sim yet, but I've received several "Fox Four" kills in Il-2 that way...sliced off their tail with my prop, and lived to tell about it! Anyone can collide, but to LIVE to fight another day... Of course, in First Eagles I've had more collisions than I can count, only some of which leave me flyable, but it's never intentional! -
B-1B Lancer AKA "The Bone"
JediMaster replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Of course, there was no AIM-120D when the B-1R proposal first surfaced. I don't even know if the 120As were in service yet! -
Douglas B-31
JediMaster replied to MKSheppard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I once saw one of the few remaining Douglas B-18s at Kurt Weeks' place in Homestead in the late 80s. Not sure if it survived Hurricane Andrew, though. -
I don't have any of the CoDs. I played the first one, tried the demo for the 2nd one and decided I didn't like where it was going.

I don't have or need a PDA, but my wife does. Her Palm (her 2nd) is now pretty much dead as well as the first, so she's looking to replace that. The ipod touch pretty much CAN be a PDA with contacts, maps, email, etc, so all she needs now is a new phone. I personally do not like the idea of "all your eggs in one basket". I would never want to worry about my cell phone's battery being dead because I listened to the MP3's too long! PDA + phone is fine, PDA + MP3 is fine, but I don't think I'll ever go for MP3 + phone. Especially as where I work you're not allowed to bring cell phones into a LOT of places so I'd rather it be a cheapo one if I have to leave it in the car or a box by a door. It looks like the iphone and ipod touch have a lot of apps that run on both. There are some crazy ones out there! Again, the wife just got hers so she's not looked thru them seriously yet.

I guess a full pardon maybe not, but I'm sure time served was likely sufficient for the penalty for those offenses. The difference of course is I believe a full pardon removes the conviction from your record, so they're no longer felons? If falsifying/suppressing evidence is a felony, then that should stand.

I think women tend to hit stationary objects (like walls, fences, buildings, parked cars) more while men tend to have accidents with other cars more. That means more people are involved in the men's accidents and that makes the cost higher. A car itself doesn't cost that much. Medical bills and litigation cost a ton. I also don't think there's necessarily a dichotomy between the number of bad female and male drivers, it's just that the bad female ones tend to do stuff like this that's publicized for its entertainment value while the bad male ones are involved in more straightforward collisions that are old hat and not worth watching.

It shouldn't matter unless there's something wrong with your power strip or the wall outlet's wiring. Try a different power strip.

The F-84, Can I Get the Real Story?

LeMay was always thinking WWIII, never small time like Korea. -

What's the point, really? Everyone knows we have thousands of the things. Russia is the only one who ever had a chance of making a successful pre-emptive strike (as in wiping out our ability to retaliate) and they already know where all those things are by now, I'm sure! -
Russian state to order naval fighters to support MiG company

I don't believe China ever taken any Su-33s, no. Without a carrier there would be little point on spending the extra money when it could go to an Su-27/30 that would be more useful. -
Which Do You Prefer?
JediMaster replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I do both equally. Since my first air combat sim was F-19, where you did both equally, I've always done both sides. The only exceptions were in WWI sims (which had little to no mud moving) and F-14 Fleet Defender. I've even shot down other helos in Black Shark with my gun (and that was NOT easy at all!) even though mud moving is the main priority there. I just love air combat in all its guises! -

I don't know what version of the nvidia drivers you're using, but you might try using the latest ones or just reinstalling them. -
B-1B Lancer AKA "The Bone"
JediMaster replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I don't think you "plink" with 2000's, that's more a "whump." That AMRAAM idea has been floating around for years, based I guess on the fact that the Bone and the F-16 radars share many components. I think one reason it never "flew" is that AMRAAMs aren't nearly long-range enough to keep the Bone out of harm's way should the enemies choose to pursue. Sure it's fast down low, but at altitude where you'd want to be launching them from it's just barely supersonic, and you don't want to be dogfighting in a Bone. -
90 degrees? 135 degrees? No, I bet it's 270 degrees!!!

I think Clancy "sold" his name to Ubi far too cheaply.

My wife looked into it but balked at the monthly price tag for mandatory features she wasn't going to use much. She instead got an iPod touch this weekend and will get some other smart phone (with lower $$ costs!) for the phone side to replace her dying SLVR (the non-flip RAZR if you don't know). I think they're (iphones) overpriced for what they offer, but some people don't mind. I do believe there are cheaper alternatives that work just as well.

As I read in one report, the French and Brits both favor the same deep water areas in the Atlantic for their boomer patrols. Combine that with naturally being as quiet as you can all the time, perhaps a low thermocline layer keeping them both sandwiched between it and the bottom, and just plain old bad luck...
