I've got the lit-up version of that model. Still looks pretty good despite being about 17 yrs old now. Bad part was one of the lights stopped working when I glued the saucer together, must have bent the connector too far. The engines for those ST models are always a pain, whether the Enterprise, a Klingon ship, or one of the other Federation ones (I have Reliant, Excelsior, and Enterprise E as well).

I think we should all know by now you never trust anything from MS until service pack 2.

Wow...so the former Red is a white-neck?

My worst modeling experience was for Ford Models in Miami Beach. It was supposed to be a straightforward runway fashion show, but OH NO, they misrepresented it to me! Instead...oh...this thread is about scale models. Nevermind.

Italian food. Wait, I mean good Italian food. I can always be happy in an Italian restaurant, or ordering something Italian off the menu at a place that isn't, as long as it's good.

Blackadder and VP Balders! "The economy is in a meltdown." "Not to worry--I have a cunning plan!"

Yeah, mother-in-law is really into it, including the readings at the beginning. Wife can get a bit exasperated with it at times, though!

I loved the comment on SNL this weekend. "OJ was found guilty of murder. I'm sorry, he was found guilty of theft, assault, but really murder."

MH-53 Pave Lows fly final combat mission
JediMaster replied to Typhoid's topic in Military and General Aviation
It's not like there are no more 53s out there. The USMC has plenty of the E model and has a new K model program underway. -
Right, that's what I said. Deltas don't have that paint scheme and those are obviously not single-seaters ergo Beagles!

So, what about those of us on this side of the Atlantic? -
Startrek Online - Official Game Timeline
JediMaster replied to Acidrain's topic in Sci-Fi Simulations
Interesting, I know there had been some speculation it would've been during Kirk's era instead of Picard's. -
I've never seen Deltas with that dark paint scheme, that's always been the Beagle's forte.

MH-53 Pave Lows fly final combat mission

There was talk of making Clancy's Without Remorse (which has Clark participating in an ancilliary way with that op) about 10 years ago, but then all that happened was Sum of All Fears got made and Clancy films never returned. -
Small air museum in GOA (India)
JediMaster replied to lindr2's topic in Military and General Aviation
Ah, well that's an interesting way to display it then without having to repair or display busted landing gear. -
Ok, raise your hand if you had the brisket and the apples with honey!

It's inevitable. For instance, SimHQ c. 2008 is nothing like SimHQ c. 2000 when I first started there. That 6 years after SFP1's release things are different is no real surprise.

Haven't met anyone since the 90s, when I went to Las Vegas and NJ for a couple simming LAN meets. That was back in the days of Prodigy and CIS, pre-Internet. We flew Falcon 3, Air Warrior, and a little World Circuit: GP. I don't think I've seen a single one of those people I met there online for 10 years now.

The Simpsons was great in its first decade, but when the X Files went off the air I didn't keep watching Sunday nights. Family Guy I've loved since day 1, but it's silly to say it rips off the Simpsons. It has its own style which is unique enough to make South Park rip on it. Anyway, I own all the FG eps on DVD (and South Park too!) and none of Simpsons, so...

How about Sins of a Solar Empire? It's SF, but it scales from large-scale down to individual ships. You can't upgrade the small fighters and bombers, but all the others you can.

Small air museum in GOA (India)
JediMaster replied to lindr2's topic in Military and General Aviation
Oh, ok, "gate guards" have their gear retracted, yes. I'm not talking about them, though, I mean more museum-style displays like that SHar. -
Actually, I should amend that statement. The fastest thing to ever fly over my house, and it has done so several times, is an orbiter returning to KSC. They're still supersonic when they pass overhead, not dropping subsonic until they actually reach KSC.

Small air museum in GOA (India)

Interesting, I've never seen an airplane on outdoor display with its gear retracted to appear "in flight". Only hanging from ceilings in large indoor museums. A nice touch! -

That's rfactor. -
I think the fastest thing over my house was an F-15C flying CAP for the final Columbia launch that had the Israeli astronaut on board. The most important thing ever to fly over my house was Marine One.
