I'd try reinstalling your video drivers. -
I hadn't noticed that, but to be honest I don't think I've played a campaign since 1.10! Been TE flying only.

IIRC, it's 6.7lbs/gallon for jet fuel.

Echoes of Cold War as RAF jets scrambled to see off Russian spy planes
JediMaster replied to Redddevil911's topic in Military and General Aviation
Bears would regularly fly unrefueled from somewhere around Murmansk, down Scandinavia, past the UK, across the Atlantic, down the eastern seaboard and land in Cuba. -
Oh yeah, I forgot about the 2 Ice Age films! I liked #1 more than #2, though.

Dirty Exhaust question
JediMaster replied to Atreides's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Pretty much all those older engines smoked at some point. The problem with many planes is they could be retrofitted with kits to make them smoke less at a later date. The F-4E for example was very smoky when it entered service but far less so by retirement in the USAF. The MiG-29A was notorious for being almost as smoky as the F-4E. It's the hallmark of a turbojet, as well, and the introduction of turbofans reduced smoke to a trickle if at all, although that's not 100%. However, pretty much every engine used before 1970 was a turbojet and they all smoked. Most planes introduced since 1970 use turbofans and smoke little. -
I own Transformers and all the Pixar films on DVD. I also own the 2 Shrek films and will get 3 when it comes out for Xmas I'm guessing. I'll be seeing the next Pixar film, Ratatouille, when it comes out this summer.

Just started watching DS9 on DVD after not seeing them since their original airings and I'm astounded at just how good it was even first season! TNG by comparison had a very weak 1st season.

Preview Images of Patch II (Borg vs. Breen)
JediMaster replied to Acidrain's topic in Star Trek Legacy
LOL, actually I was referring to the TV/films, as we only saw a bit of them at the end of DS9! However, I like the idea of seeing all types of a species' ships, from large battlecruisers to smaller gunships and such. My favorite thing about playing games like these has been the ability to use the ships you barely saw in the series/films, like the Akira class. The ones you catch a brief glimpse of once or twice and never see again! -
Transformers was a bit SF. There was Titan AE and Final Fantasy, too. I really like the Pixar films.
-
No, they're full-system only. For parts, places like ZipZoomFly and NewEgg are popular among others.

It was an FPS if you were infantry, but because it was an MMO/RPG (only mildly) there were many limitations to it that I didn't care for.

You having a laugh? Are you having a laugh?? (obscure reference there)

A milestone, certainly! Of course, I personally have over 20,000 posts at another site.

The 1.07 beta patch, that bring the Euro 1.05 and US 1.06 versions to a common standard, is out. However, those of you with DL'd versions should be aware that patching takes an activation and therefore using the beta and then the final will take TWO. So, you may want to wait for the final. This adds the A-10 and the Armory to the Euro versions, along with many other changes.

ARES Project - "Messerschmitt 263"

That would really have been just a flying gun. Couldn't have taken much damage, I'm sure. -
B-2
JediMaster replied to Marcfighter's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I'm confused...what are you all looking at? All I see is a shot of empty land and water...is there a plane there?? -
CoD was never known for that in its MP, really. For the most realistic WWII FPS MP action, you have 3 choices: Day of Defeat (never played it myself) Red Orchestra Hidden and Dangerous 2 (good like finding anyone playing this one, though it's my favorite)

I've pretty much played GRAW out at this point. I played it SO much over the last year that I stopped playing it around the time ArmA reached the 1.05 patch. If you take it for what it is and not what some people expected it to be, GRAW is a decent game. I'm hopeful about GRAW2, but I'm not placing any bets.

JediMaster replied to Acidrain's topic in Star Trek Legacy
I've wondered if we'll ever see more of the Breen or not. -
The opening scene where Crow is trying to get his PC onto the internet (pre Win95 of course) is hilarious. Lots of talk about comm ports and UARTs to make you nostalgic. Anyway, I got the special edition of Tora Tora Tora last summer and it's great. Commentaries, documentaries, tons of stuff.

I like biking out of the garage, I'm not going to drive an hour in crappy traffic to get there.

I'd forgotten all about this plane! Probably because I was trying to block Iron Eagle III from memory... -
Sounds
JediMaster replied to a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I believe each plane has its own sounds assigned, listed in the XYZ_DATA.INI for that plane. You'll see a line under [sound] that will tell you enginesoundname=jetengine or something like that, as well as afterburnersoundname= and damagedenginesound= lines. I could be wrong, though.
