You've gotta love Airplane 1 and 2.

Ah, Carmack's group? I've followed in a distant way. I know they had a test already that wasn't that successful.

There's plenty of comparisons out there. Of course, in the under $100 range you only get competence, not performance, so it's harder to really judge them.

For whatever reason, green stars are probably the rarest of the star colors out there (red, green, blue, white, orange). Probably make you sick if you were there too long, though.

Driving the tanks was my favorite part of WWIIOL when it came out. When they implemented spawn limits and playing tanks vs tanks became harder, I lost interest as the infantry wasn't very compelling, although I've heard it's gotten better 5+ yrs later! It's also my favorite part of Red Orchestra, although I wish there were more maps for them. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this one.

Echoes of Cold War as RAF jets scrambled to see off Russian spy planes

I know it's no longer routine, but I understood this still happens on occasion and during major exercises. It's always sound policy to watch everyone. -
Believe me, no one wants it more than I do. NO ONE. NO ONE! NO ONE!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, 1C is the publisher. Maddox did Il-2, but G5 did this one. According to some Russian posters, they've done a couple of other games and all have been just as badly done as this one.

That was Gene Hackman as the blind guy, actually. My favorite line in the movie isn't great by itself, but in context of the scene: "Put...the candle...back!"

Yeah, publish it! Call it "the unfinished review for an unfinished product."

USAF: Air Dominance?
JediMaster replied to Hawk MMS's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Yeah, it would be nice if it would be released for public usage, but at this point I think it won't happen. -

Everything I've heard out there agrees with your assessment. Totally unfinished.

Whoa! Pimp my Defiant!

Unfortunately, the Totally Games guys seem uninterested in another X-Wing-style game. I've doubts LA could do it themselves. Their internal projects are quite lame compared to the external ones. KOTOR was done by Bioware and Obsidian, and both of them are great RPG houses. JK2 and JA were done by Raven, a great FPS house. Who did SWB? Just LA.
-
Yeah, looks like it's still not out yet.
-
Oops, forgot about the Lego games! Yeah, those are an example of how to do it. Don't know why LA has had such trouble figuring that out.
-
These guys have done a ton of stuff for this title. It's too bad they're not getting even more recognition than they already have, because frankly I find this work to be on par with the significance of the Desert Combat mod for BF1942. They've not yet reached Counter Strike status, but they're on their way.

Well, in an ideal world the game would've come out for PC and been as good as the Jedi Knight games. As it was, its failure to come out did make LA go back and revive the JK games, but in the event we only got 2 games--JK2 and JA--before LA seemed to give it up in favor of more console-only games, the KOTOR RPG pair, and the Battlefront pair. In every case, though, they've let the franchise die. The 2 new JK games came out, people loved them, they stopped. The 2 KOTOR games came out, people loved them (although despised the short stick they gave KOTOR 2), they stopped. SWB1 and 2 came out, they did very well, and now nothing almost 2 years after SWB2's release. The only thing they've done recently was Empire at War and its addon, and of course the sad story that is SW Galaxies.

I'm trying to think of a Star Wars/Deliverance joke, but so far have come up empty...

Unless you're going to modify stock a/c yourself, or are looking to modify some of the other stock settings, 9 times out of 10 you won't need to mess with the .cat's yourself. There are those "1" instances, though...

Right, soooo...we won't be seeing any more "How Do I Sign Up...?" posts here, right folks?? It's all right there, in the most logical of locations, their own forum, where capun has clearly posted the "how to". Not to sound sour, but even I, "Mr Patient", was tiring of seeing people ask at least every other day or so of how to register.
