Hot Shots wasn't in the last 15 years, but it's covered by the "Naked Gun/Airplane" comment. After all, same guys!

DCS is higher, but what of LOMAC/FC2? It's what, $30 for that? So that's A-10A, F-15C, Su-27, Su-33, Su-25, Su-25T, MiG-29A, MiG-29G (granted it's almost an A), MiG-29C. So if you say it's 8 planes, that's less than $4 each! Oh right, you MUST have LOMAC 1 first, so whatever that cost you + $30. As for DCS, we'll see what it really costs per plane. MiG-21 will be $20, but I paid $50 for the Ka-50, $60 for the A-10C, $30 for Combined Arms, $20 for BS2 upgrade, $30 for FC2. Oh, and until now we've had nothing but the Crimea since 1995. Ok, DCS moved it more to Georgia, they shifted it SE a bit, but it's still the Black Sea and ONLY the Black Sea. -

FC1 was at the point where I stopped flying the F-15 in 1.12. AMRAAMs were totally useless, and the radar lost lock every freaking minute. I shot down as many planes in the A-10 as I did in the F-15 in an average mission!! I admit I've really not had a lot of stick time in FC2, and what I have has not been in the F-15, so I don't really know if it was fixed right. -
Almost the same thing. Instead of spending money that wasn't there, or failing to pay one bill to pay another, it just stopped for lack of money.

I have the USB 3.0 version since my PC has USB 3 ports. I also have a USB 3 Seagate external 1TB Goflex drive. Both screaming fast!

Running Games on a Quad Core with Nvidia dedicated graghics card
JediMaster replied to Twizard's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
Do your video cards have a fan on them or are they just heat sinks? Cards without fans run hotter as they depend on case airflow and yours might be poor. CPUs almost ALL have fans now, aside from really slow ones for tablets and things, so it's not a problem. You should be able to find a program that can read your CPU temp to you, http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ I think does. AMD should then have a spec sheet telling you your CPU's acceptable temp limits, so you can see right away if it's ok or not yourself. -
That's the trick, it's easy to know WHAT weapons it can carry, but knowing how many, on which stations, and in what combination are the harder to find out things. For example, there's no such thing as an F-16 carrying 4 TERs with 12 Mavericks total on them!

F-22 is political, the F-16 is beyond that now.

It's been over 30 years since their brother died, and now Ridley has lost another in a totally avoidable scenario.

I've always loved the Airplane/Naked Gun types of films, although the recent "Disaster Movie/Dance Movie" streak by that other team has failed miserably. Eurotrip was a solid one. It wasn't outstanding, but it succeeded. Best ones in the past 15 yrs other than the Austin Powers films were the Scary Movie series, as well as Not Another Teen Movie. That one is notable for how many actors we see now that were just starting then (Chris Evans, Sam Huntington, Jaime Pressly) as well as for riffing both the modern teen comedies like "She's All That" while also the older 80s flicks like "Breakfast Club".

Never Say Never Again was a pale shadow of the Bond films he'd done for Eon in the 60s. Klaus Brandauer was not nearly as good a Largo as Adolfo Celi, and Claudine Auger does it for me over Kim Basinger in ANY decade. Don't even think to compare Barbara Carrera to Luciana Paluzzi!!! Fiona beats Fatima Blush always. That said, I've missed Q and Moneypenny in the Craig Bonds. Maybe MP needed to wait until the whole Vesper thing ended, but Q could've been in Casino Royale instead of some non-speaking extra putting the tracker in his arm.

Well, frankly they're out of range of most land-based planes launched from anywhere other than Australia, with whom they have a defense treaty. Really the only threat to them other than subs would be if some regional power got a strong navy down there. Right now that's not a concern. In 20 years, who knows?

It's frustrating if you backtrack too much, but if you avoid revisiting the same checkpoint too soon after you've cleared it, it's not that much. I've got over 80 hrs in FC2 for 2 playthroughs, it's quite an enjoyable shooter and despite being around 3 years old still looks great as it supports DX10.

None. Ground or air combat-capable, anyway. P-3s and helos are it AFAIK.

Except Canadians, Brits, and white Americans are all the same race. Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, and Vietnamese are not. IIRC, Koreans and Japanese are close, but Chinese are not. Don't remember about Vietnamese.

So, after flying LOMAC for only 10 years, you say it's a nice change to fly the F-16, but I can't say it's nice not to fly it after 20?? As for the DC, that was a feat I doubt we'll see replicated, but do remember it came from years of professional development followed by over a decade of modder development on top of that. I'm sure if ED had started a DC for Flanker 1 and kept working it and refining it we'd see a pretty good one in DCS right now too. Alas, they did not. -
In the 80s, trigger discipline meant "pull until you run out of ammo, then yell and throw the gun". As for South Americans in the group, it also meant being able to use all those Latino actors for stuff and not having to rely on only Russian-looking actors. Of course, for this one I'm not sure how many Asian actors, extras, and stunt doubles they'll be able to come up with, although I'll bet you'll have a lot of non-Korean actors playing Koreans (which I guess is fine after decades of Korean actors playing Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese).

Other than this--"contains 11 texture sets each for F-4B, F-4B (65), F-4B (67) and F-4J versions, including 8 USN and 3 USMC texture sets"--I've not seen one. -

Don't worry, I'm sure SEVERAL people will think that anyway! Remember, "if you don't agree with me, you're on the side of everyone I disagree with" has become the law of the land. -

Unfortunately I think things have deteriorated to the point that gentle ribbing is no longer taken as such. Skins have gotten thin (pardon the pun). Heaven forbid TK had a Friar's Club-type roast done by the modding community. It would probably be seen as an attempt to destroy Thirdwire.
