  1. Had a young Sea Eagle in front of my car

For comparison, I had trouble taking my daughter to school this morning because a swan decided to stand right behind the car, obviously thinking I was going to give him some bread or something like some of our neighbors (unfortunately) do. My almost-4 yr old went from picking flowers in the yard to running into the car so she could "get away from the scary swan"...it was about her height of 40" or so. She's a bit of a scaredy-cat, unfortunately.
  2. Had a young Sea Eagle in front of my car

For a second I thought you were referring to THIS Sea Eagle: Couldn't figure out how it was "young" or why it was in front of your car!
  3. Turkish F-4 down on the Border with Syria....

And THAT'S why I always turn on the ignition AFTER setting the mirrors. Wait, what?
  4. Rise of Flight v1.026 Released!

Ah, can't wait to see this! My problem with many of the new planes has been lack of MP coop missions to fly them in. These mods will hopefully work on existing missions making the planes more interesting in missions I already know well!
  5. INS Vikramaditya starts sea trials

Yeah, I didn't think that more than a dozen could fit in the hangar. It's a reason I was shocked back when the Soviets went the Su-33 route at first because they can't carry as many. Of course, now they've changed their minds and decided the Indians have the right idea!
  6. Texting

    I don't text. Simple.
  7. Chuck Yeager up 2 no good the "Right Stuff"

    Maybe...6?
  8. I've had zero problems using Amazon payments for TW stuff. Ever since he started offering that I've done it instead of Paypal. I'm sure the problem is buried within the international transactions stuff, but I've no idea what it is. I'm surprised Amazon hasn't responded yet, though. Maybe try sending another email to a different address there?
  9. Turkish F-4 down on the Border with Syria....

What's sad is the support of Syria being made purely for "we need our influence in the Middle East" reasons and not because anyone actually thinks Assad is right or anything. Oh, and as for Assad, he's been behind or supported all the crap that's happened in Lebanon, so how much worse could an actual fundamentalist regime there be? The difference would basically be the new regime would toot a different tune. If it wasn't for oil most of the world wouldn't care anyway. Look at other countries in say, oh, Africa? Many there with tons of troubles, but no oil, just Nigeria...and they're also a mess.
  10. INS Vikramaditya starts sea trials

How many KUBs will it be getting? A dozen or so?
  11. The Law is back

At this point, all the stories have been done. The question is how well the retelling is done. Urban can carry it, but I've no idea how good the script is, how good the director is, or any of the other factors. I saw the Stallone film, just once, and thought Max von Sydow was the only bright spot of the film...so naturally he wasn't in it much! While I won't dismiss this out of hand, I certainly won't bother seeing it until I can catch it on Netflix or cable!
  12. Justice Served!

He's just another loser who happened to have a high profile job.
  13. My son is getting married tomorrow.

I suppose we could start a "you know you're getting old when..." thread based on this!
  14. Justice Served!

Oh hey, look at that!! Hmmm? What? Nevermind.
  15. Interesting guests

For it not to be a replica, it would need to be totally or at least largely built of originally produced items from the original run. I say "largely" because many restorations replace a ton of original but badly deteriorated parts to the extent that you wonder just how much is left. A replica doesn't necessarily imply it's a smaller scale, like some have been.
  16. The Law is back

    What's to say Urban WON'T?
  17. INS Vikramaditya starts sea trials

Well obviously not or it would be at least Kitty Hawk-sized if not larger! But I could guess almost half the ship's complement could fit in there compared to a Western carrier where just a small fraction could.
  18. Turkish F-4 down on the Border with Syria....

Years ago I'd have agreed with you. More recently, though, things have soured to the point that I'm not sure. While I doubt Israel would refuse to do it, I could see there being a long delay in such a thing getting approved to the point that the crew would already be captured or rescued otherwise before it could happen.
  19. Many moons ago Sag was here. Stuff happened. Now he's not.
  20. The Law is back

Dammit, I'm the law, not a doctor! -- Leonard H Dredd, MD
  21. Mig 21

Plus many of the nations flying them never put much resources into training. I doubt they'd have survived more often even in better planes.
  22. INS Vikramaditya starts sea trials

The superstructure is immense relative to the vessel's size.
  23. Turkish F-4 down on the Border with Syria....

    That's a bit contradictory, isn't it?
  24. I was thinking more of the Shatner/Lithgow type, but I suppose him too!
  25. A Right to die?

The only reason to prolong one's life in that case is if there's some distant hope of science finding a way to "fix" you before you'd die otherwise. For example, Christopher Reeve didn't give up until he died because he did have the hope that someday they'd be able to reverse the damage. However, in some cases it's obvious there's no chance you'll be ok ever again...
