  1. Well, as of today the DoD has blocked my access to SimHQ from work. Who knows how long until this place might join it. :sorry:

They block more sites than they allow, and it can make it a major PITA to do my job when I'm researching problems and such. This is just icing on the cake.

  2. Jedi Knight 3 I suppose, although which game this is I'm unsure.

    First came Dark Forces.

Then came Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2. Or was it DF2: JK? Don't remember.

Then came Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, sometimes called JK2 or DF3!

Then came Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, sometimes called JK3 or DF4! So I guess he means JA.

  3. It's totally filmed in Vancouver, but the writers are US based.

Anyway, they got half the season done when the strike hit, so I think we will just be seeing the 1st half at this point unless the strike ends very soon (not likely).

  4. This is ludicrous.

Are they unaware of all the work being done FOR FREE for rfactor? Like I would ever pay more than $100 for one sim, no matter how many cars or tracks were in it.

On the individual track licensing part, I'm thinking no company would give an untried company exlcusive rights, that's fiscally stupid. This isn't EA or Sony asking to do it, like F1 and NASCAR fell for. This iracing has a nice pedigree, but we all know the apple can fall VERY far from the tree.

I guess they figured what's good for Microsoft...

  5. The B-58 was a maintenance hog, IIRC. It was very advanced but paid for it.

The B-36 had the largest single-wheel main gear ever made. After it started cracking runways on landing they came up with the now-standard multi-wheel bogeys for the main gear. Planes like the C-5, 747, and An-124 have tons of wheels on their mains, but the B-36 had TWO. Until they revised them, of course.

As for size, the B-1B is actually larger than a B-52, it just doesn't look it. The B-2 is far shorter, but its wingspan is still greater than the KC-135s that refuel it.
