Well, as of today the DoD has blocked my access to SimHQ from work. Who knows how long until this place might join it.
They block more sites than they allow, and it can make it a major PITA to do my job when I'm researching problems and such. This is just icing on the cake.

Hasbro didn't have a clue when it made the 86 film. It was supposed to wipe out the G1 characters and intro new ones for the upcoming G2 toy release, that's all. They had no idea people cared as much as they did.
I think Arcee might be in the sequel, too, as she was originally going to be in the first.

I have it but haven't started it yet. I just finished Fury, and I'm now reading this Clarke book called Time's Eye, THEN I'll read Ro2.

Jedi Knight 3 I suppose, although which game this is I'm unsure.
First came Dark Forces.
Then came Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2. Or was it DF2: JK? Don't remember.
Then came Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, sometimes called JK2 or DF3!
Then came Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, sometimes called JK3 or DF4! So I guess he means JA.

"Some people call Tattooine the ass-end of space..."
"Is that your droid? Do you have the bill of sale for this droid? Oh, it's your cousin's? Are you his cousin? Oh, you're his friend."

Of course, it's a crappy transfer of the old LD transfer. No 5.1 sound, no anamorphic. I have both LD sets--original release and 1997 rerelease, and that's fine.

You would think so...

They have eyes, but they cannot see...

It's totally filmed in Vancouver, but the writers are US based.
Anyway, they got half the season done when the strike hit, so I think we will just be seeing the 1st half at this point unless the strike ends very soon (not likely).

You mean Dean Stockwell? He's an awesome actor.
See him playing Scott Bakula's sidekick on Quantum Leap for several years, or playing Dr Yueh in Lynch's Dune from 1984...

This is ludicrous.
Are they unaware of all the work being done FOR FREE for rfactor? Like I would ever pay more than $100 for one sim, no matter how many cars or tracks were in it.
On the individual track licensing part, I'm thinking no company would give an untried company exlcusive rights, that's fiscally stupid. This isn't EA or Sony asking to do it, like F1 and NASCAR fell for. This iracing has a nice pedigree, but we all know the apple can fall VERY far from the tree.
I guess they figured what's good for Microsoft...

BoB is the new sim coming out...maybe by the end of this year...maybe...
As for Il-2 series, there is one final patch coming out adding a couple of maps but then it's done. It will be almost 7 years old at that point!

Obviously that testing was at its end!

The B-58 was a maintenance hog, IIRC. It was very advanced but paid for it.
The B-36 had the largest single-wheel main gear ever made. After it started cracking runways on landing they came up with the now-standard multi-wheel bogeys for the main gear. Planes like the C-5, 747, and An-124 have tons of wheels on their mains, but the B-36 had TWO. Until they revised them, of course.
As for size, the B-1B is actually larger than a B-52, it just doesn't look it. The B-2 is far shorter, but its wingspan is still greater than the KC-135s that refuel it.

Logistics always suffers if you have too many planes. Of course, having only one type can be just as bad. The point is the French are desperate for the Rafale to get an export order SOMEWHERE and they can't get it. Oh wait, didn't Libya order them? Not that they're an impressive sale.
-
I guess that was an unsuccessful test flight! That's what they're for, although generally they don't lose them of course.

Eagles have been downed by SAMs because they can be seen. Can the F-22? We don't know.

Well, you don't buy C-17s if you're looking for C-130s. You might buy C-130s even if you want C-17s, of course.
-
Yeah, the original AH-1 was just a UH-1 with a different main cabin, and while there was some divergence in the intervening decades, the USMC is now standardizing them again with the rebuilds and new buys of the Super Hueys.

I send them FedEx. Hope you don't mind the rads, Harold!

We have a large Army contingent on our AF base, they just seem to do that.

Don't forget they TOTALLY changed the game play that made it popular in the first place in the process.
