I believe "collect underpants" is supposed to be in there somewhere...
Anyway, as TW is a 1-man operation with a few part-timers, the resources aren't there. He'd need a publisher to bankroll, and I don't think he has any more interest in going that route.
-
I guess we'll see how the market shakes out.
-
I thought they were using the same external model though?
-
Now we just need the US to announce a $1m bounty on anyone attempting to collect that bounty!

Right now, going to the ISS is the only source of money. Branson, Bigelow, and others are trying the "if you build it..." method, but they've got a chicken and egg issue.
Spaceflight that takes you back to your destination is a novelty, a ride at the county fair. Going to somewhere is the holy grail. An orbital hotel ala 2001 would be a great first step. Another would be flights from one spot on the globe to another. If you could fly from LA to New Zealand in 1/4 the time PLUS be in space for part of the trip, wouldn't that be worth it?

"We're not in a 737, are we?"
-
Was that a reserve Tu-22? I notice it's an early 22M model, but I'm guessing this film isn't all THAT old so the late models were already plentiful.

You mean "going where about a hundred or so men and women have gone before."
Atlantis will stay here, taking a roll down the street instead of a flight cross country.
-
I wonder how that's going to work? Having 2 different F-15Es in one sim I mean? I guess the assumption will be you'll only get 1?
-
Yeah, MiG-21 and Combined Arms out-of-beta will be the first things post-FC3. They're also the only ones I've got money in. The rest is all "that's nice, let me know when I can actually get it" because I don't have a need to yearn for stuff.
-
Well, back then there were a lot more bears, and they walked upright and were quite capable of carrying heavy loads. Having your own bear arms was extremely useful.
-
Yeah, I've heard it's an F-35-sized F-22.
-
Yes, because lightning doesn't go around corners...as an example.

The goal as ever is for the elected ones to stay in power as long as possible while lining their pockets and their friends', and lining up good stuff for later should they have term limits or eventually get voted out.
Here's an easy question: Name a group of 500 people who on average care more about themselves and less about their country than any other group in existence? Congress of course.

After all, if as many seem to believe that only those who practice the "correct" faith will be rewarded after this life (or in this one as well), how is it necessary to hasten the departure of the "incorrect" ones to oblivion? That means not only are they wrong, but you're depriving them the chance of realizing their "mistake" and converting later. In short, it's passing judgement on them (as of an arbitrary time of my choosing, you're not on the correct path, so you should die) when IIRC most religions claim that right belongs to only one, and that one is NOT a man?
Of course, when religious leaders try to brainwash their followers into believing their god "wants you to kill the infidels" and they believe it...

How many died that day, and how many died in the days after of their wounds or infections?
-
Because even back then it was realized that it is far better to put your faith in an ideal than a person. Humans will let you down. Having your oath (and the oath of all said elected officials) be to an ideal makes it far easier to oust the corrupt. If you pledge an oath to say the president, and they do something criminal, you're sort of obligated to cover it up and help them get away with it!

That pictures confuses me! Other than a vague facial resemblance to Veronica it looks nothing like F:NV!
Anyhow, just finished putting 150 hrs into F:NV last month (1 playthrough of the main game + all DLCs) and I'll be starting Fallout 3 soon (going backwards...) but I'm eager to hear about the next one.

The course of many battles and wars would have been different if all weapons were picked on their own merits and without politics interfering.

You know I'll bet they would've attacked even if they hadn't known he was there. The attacks are likely not that spur-of-the-moment.
They're just trying to capitalize on the possibility it would make some people afraid.
Notice how every single attack is usually in retaliation for something, whether it was last week or last year or hundreds of years ago? They're always justified somehow in what they do.

What is needed is a tool of mass brainwashing. We need to make everyone on the planet BELIEVE...that there is nothing to believe in. Then the excuses to fight will be more apparent, logical, and dealt with. Oh, they want more land. Oh, they want the resources there. Oh, they're sick of the economic strangulation. No more "I have faith that I'm supposed to hate you and try and kill you...no, I have no actual rationale except that according to my beliefs, some of the things you have done are unforgivable even though to anyone else they're really nothing". The main reason is if people are arguing over land, resources, or actions, there can usually be some accommodation made that doesn't require killing in the name of their god.
When your "faith" tells you other people need to suffer, that's when there's a problem, either with you or your "faith."

Well, I think that may hold the record for worst (as in least effective) insult I've ever heard. Crash record? Really? So some politicians are too cheap to care about the soldiers doing what THEY tell them to? This is unique?
Might as well next go with "at least the country's name doesn't start with an I and end with an A!!" Or perhaps some reference to population demographics or geographical location?

I remember hearing about this I think the week after HL2 came out!!!

Don't think I've ever seen the aft end of an RA-5 like that before...

Far too early to tell how it will end up.
I've seen some great renders of the A-10 in Fighter Ops, too...
