  1. In addition to Varyag, Google Earth also shows Minsk in a Chineese port as a museum piece, and a complete mockup of what they are calling a Nimitz class CVN built in a lake supposedly for study. Add to that 3 new classes of Nuclear submarine, ....IIRC 2 of them Balistic Missile boats.
  2. NOW try that with PL-12s and PL-5Es
  3. Thanks Dave, I have a couple that have been looking for homes for a couple of months You can run, but you're STILL going to die
  4. well, I'm GLAD it has it's own pit. I HATE hornet pits substituted for everything!! I'd just have to change it to the F-35A pit for myself if it was another hornet pit substitute  I'd like to see this and other projects of Marcelo's ( ) released.
  5. Personally I'm using the JAS-39 pit for mine. It kills my immersion sitting in a Hornet pit for EVERYTHING that doesn't have it's own. ...sees hornet pit, ....lined up on final thinks hook down....WAIT, THIS plane can't land on cariers!!!
  6. Looks SWEET!!! A line from 'Total Recall' comes to mind "2 weeks" ?
  7. Blackbird, I also used the EF-2000 Typhoon aerodynamics entries but for the wings and tail only. Even the AI can fly it now.
  8. yeah, those AlphaObject numbers are good. The HeightOffset entries should do the trick. but I'd still look at that post in the KB. POST SepPatch has less entries inder [HeightOffset] than before so just adding the two lines may cause problems down the road.
  9. Hey Blackbird, there's a fix in the KB. Dave started it, and I added something which may help too. It took BOTH procedures to get rid of that in my terrains.
  10. Hey DO, just thinking here, for those of us who aren't too keen about having the bow cats blocked, would it be possible to release a seperate model with the jets removed from the bow and placed along the side with the 4 cats and landing area clear?
  11. Without having seen detail pics of the B-36 myself jug, from what you are describing they are probably "ice lights" used to check the wing leading edges for ice buildups at night.
  12. F-22A boo boo

Which terrain were you flying in? In the F-22A_data.ini NationName= USAF ? Which nation is listed in the skin TextureSet.ini (USAF?) Open the weaponeditor (Make sure you are useing the appropriate version, if patched to Sep2008 you should be using the latest {WOI} weapon editor on WOV and WOE) go to the AIM-120C and open it. Make sure USN and USAF are checked for Attachment Type Make sure Nation Name is USAF if everything above is true then check the exported box match the exported start/end years with the service start/end years and set export availability to "rare" . DO NOT use "very rare" I had a problem with soviet weapons working fine on Soviet aircraft in GermanyCE, but not showing on Soviet aircraft in Formosa.
  13. F-22A boo boo

There are a few reasons for this. All simple DOAHs. NATION= must be compatable between weapon and aircraft. AttachmentType= must be comaptable between weapon and aircraft. the station's length limit, diameter limit, and weight limit must be compatable with the weapon weghts and dimensions. TypeName= in the weapondata.ini must be the entry called for in the loadout.ini AND a BIG problem, while you may in single mission be able to force an aircraft into play out of it's timeframe, it's weapons will not load outside of their service years. Example, I had a problem with F-14As loading AMRAAMS instead of AIM-54s, I finally realized that the date of the mission was AFTER the end service date for the weapon called for (AIM-54A) in the loadout.ini. Once I changed the entry in the loadout.ini to AIM-54C the phoenixs loaded on the tomcats.
  14. Just had a thought, are you refering to the F4D-1 Skyray? If so, that is a CG issue. Change it so it reads [AircraftData] EmptyMass=7268.0 EmptyInertia=42805.6,9133.7,49992.9 ReferenceArea=51.75 ReferenceSpan=10.21 ReferenceChord=5.25 CGPosition=0.0,1.0,0.0 <==========Change here Component[001]=Fuselage Component[002]=Nose Component[003]=LeftWing Component[004]=RightWing Component[005]=LeftOuterWing Component[006]=RightOuterWing Component[007]=LeftStab Component[008]=RightStab Component[009]=VertTail
  15. SpringFactor= decrease value to sink, increase value to float. I was playing with bouncing noses a year ago trying to eliminate them. I'm not sure this value has the same effect on all aircraft. Results seemed to be model dependent.
  16. Personally everyone, I've noticed ALL aircraft handling differently post Sept patch. Notice how the aircraft squats when you hit the brakes during the rollout and taxying? This is much more pronounced than pre-patch in all games. I've been adjusting the DampeningFactor= to 9.0 ish (one was recently 12.0) for main gear, and 7.0 - 8.0 for nose gear. I don't mess at all with the SpringFactor= value. I learned my lesson there long ago on the TMF F-15C,D, and E. Adjusting the SpringFactor= made the nosewheel sink way below the ground.
  17. 123TRW,....YOU the man Dave !!! I actually took part in redressing the pedistal Voodoo at Standiford in 2002. The previous paintshop sup had her in Hill Grey We put her back in her SEA battledress.
  18. I'll have to echo what FastCargo said. Especially about the nav lights flashing on the ground. Most aircraft in service today were built before March 11 1996 so probably won't, and aren't required to have flashing nav lights because they were certified as airworthy before that date. To change that certification on a per airframe basis would require an Airworthiness Directive or AD (TCTO or Time Compliance Technical Order in the Air Force) which would have to be complied with by a specific date, or the airframe(s) failing to comply would have to be withdrawn from service (grounded) until such time as they would comply. That is a big costly snowball rolling down a very big hill for all involved,....operator, governing bodies, and just as notable the consumer recieving services from the operating aircraft.
  19. C5, your not implying the TMF projects will be released in December are you?
  20. I have to echo Gocad, Thanks C5!
  21. Pardon my twisted humor, but where the overweight Navy F-111 project is concerned would it be considered 'landing area' or would it more properly be called a 'crash pad'?
  22. level 0 = national insignia tied to the nations.ini level 1 = squadron markings tied to the squadronlist.ini level 2 = individual aircraft markings (tail numbers etc) decal000 to decal099 format
  23. Now THAT's a SWEET model! The irony, I just heard that song last night.
  24. Sombody's been spending too much time around that newer concrete building to the east of the running track at the 122FW.
