  1. Planning map as seen in TFDtool. Dont know when but if I give this priority it could be pretty soon!
  2. Thanks, yeah I like the Lightning in desert camo. My plan was to use the desert snake camo as seen on the Tu-22 for the Paranis. The problem is that there are not very many high-res templates available for the Red birds. Currently I got Il-28 and Tu-22 I got from Enoc, and hoping to borrow Carlos MiG-21 temps. The Mirages are covered too of course. But yeah help is welcome!
  3. Yeah working on that, contrary to public opinion I have goon with a mix of MiG-21PFM MiG-21MF MiG-23MS MiG-23MF Mirage III Mirage 5 Su-7BMK Tu-22 Tu-16 Needs dedicated skins for most of these, working on that part
  4. I'm having a fun time with the stock 1975 campaign modded for Desert 4.0, with ValAsturs new Dhimari planes plus some personal mods of mine. Rough ORBAT for Dhimar Squadrons 2x Lightning F.53 (new built A la Kuwait and Saudi) 3x F-5E (new built obviously) 1x A37B (dito) 1x Hunter (old airframes given new life) 4x F-4E/J (ex USN airframes and new built F-4Es) 2x F-100D (ex USAF received in the 60s) 2x F-104 (new builds received in the 60s) 2x F-105 (new builds received in the 60s) Creates a pretty good mix, and not unreasonable I think for a oil-rich country in the middle of air force modernization.
  5. Yeah I will make a SEA camo for sure! Now if anyone would like to make decals, that would be good. Is that an A-37A btw in the picture?
  6. Hmm well that would require a high poly pilot model. but the US often ran these with only one pilot, ie second seat empty. I'll se what I can do. In the mean time air conditioning vents. Can't not have those! Thanks for the info Swambast!
  7. Thanks guys, as said it is 95% sophocles work, a monkey could have made this out of his work.. err, well almost. If any one of you guys how good refs could you provide me with some loadouts that would be realistic? Update:
  8. Wow guys, SF2 will have the best Rafale for any sim past or present!
  9. How much paint would it take to paint a beast like that? I like it! "Conscript you there! Got an assignment for you.. just a bit of painting that needs to be done"
  10. Not dead. Thanks to Sophocles amazing F-5 instruments and switches I could cobble together a new cockpit in record time. Still not done obviously but the time-result ratio is pretty good I'd say. External model is also pretty far along even tho it needs some small details still.
  11. That sounds like a good plan! The A-37B is my own, been WIP for a good long while now, it is actually not missing many details any more but it needs a more modern cockpit to go with it...
  12. Loving the Rhino, looking forward to the next plane pack! This thread inspired me to invest some time in a Dhimari light attacker, and made for the most fun testing mission I've had yet. Mission is armed recon right next to a Parani airbase deep inside enemy territory. Hugging the ground we get in, a flight of four very small birds with some very big bombs Clearing the last hill we run into a pretty nasty surprise, as a flight of four MiG-23MLs ambush us. Luckily we are so low that the multiple Apex missiles launched at us miss and slam into the hillside Not all of us go sidewinders but number three scores a kill. In the intense turning fight the MiG-23 is much too fast to keep up with the small dragonflies. I spot the truck convoy two miles from our position and order my wingman to go after the truck convoy. Having unsuccessfully expended both my 'Winders I go for the SAMs around town when I hear the unsettling sound of shells impacting the ground below me. A flight of MiG-21s have joined the fray! My wingman splashes some of the trucks but three gets struck and is shot down. Now the odds are dire! I order the whole flight to engage air and keep turning. Number two goes down from either a SAM or AAM while engaging the convoy. Luckily, a friendly fighter flight is closing in and one by one the MiGs turn to engage this new threat. I decide to help out by engaging a SA-3 site that is firing on the incoming friendly flight. Try to hit me now! The marines mop up the rest of the opposition and my flight return home to friendlier skies.

  20. Good idea. Could you do a 80s conflict as well, Spain vs. Morocco? Mirage F1CE vs. CH? I think there may be more flyables done for a conflict like that.
  21. MiG-23 Tactics

Nice screenshots there! Do write a full AAR please! Also found this picture of a LSK MiG-23BN that was too gorgeous to not share
  22. So last night I woke up by a noise at 3 o clock in the morning and could not fall asleep again, so I decided to break out my laptop and start working on a high-res template for the thirdwire F-14A (2048*2048 instead of 1024). I have the first texture done more or less exluding markers so any help on that would be welcome, but before I went ahead wanted to check with you guys if someone was already working on it? Sundowner? Preview attached
  23. Nah checked out pappys they are every bit as detailed as mine and 50% higher res. Oh well, glad I asked before doing the rest of the 6 textures IRIAF high res skins coming up
  24. RE: Soviet weapons, is there any concerted effort to make new 3d models too? Ravenclaw has spoiled us with his western weapons so would be nice with some 2014 level HD russian AAMs. I have collected some reference material in any case, might be able to help with a weapon or two too.
