Samurai's Shipyard
Typhoid replied to WhiteBoySamurai's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I'd like to see the USN fleet filled out a bit as well as some of the targets. I mean Soviets and WWII IJN and KM. Concur on not duplicating what is out there. How about - Albany, Belknap (including THE Belknap with the fleet flagship mod), Midway, WWII Iowa, Washington Slava, Kara, amphibs Yamato Tirpitz, Graff Spee, Prinz Eugen, -

C-2 Greyhound looks like the #4 wire
Typhoid replied to MAKO69's topic in Military and General Aviation
I recall a 4 wire being a (OK) as the highest, with an OK being limited to the 3 wire (or 2 wire on Midway as we only had 3 wires rather than the usual 4.) But that was a long time ago and I was an NFO, not the pilot. The grades were A Big Deal between the pilots and squadrons. -
:) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As an NFO, my view was a "safe stop". But watching the fun and excitement of the LSO debriefs was always entertaining!! -

What I mean is that taking the 4 wire is not an "OK" grade for the pass as assigned by the LSO. One of my front seat associates here (ezlead perhaps) can confirm that but as I recall a 4 wire and an OK grade are mutually exclusive. Still a trap and they all walk away from it! :) -

"Still an OK trap." Not with the 4-wire! -

Thanks for the info -
ditto. I finally got around to upgrading my computer to be handle all this stuff on high graphics settings. Works great now. The new board also came with a couple of USB3 ports so I added an external drive with auto backup. There is enough space on it to manually back up a copy of things that I want to ensure keeping. My computer also has two hard drives, so while drive C runs everything - all the documents, including My Documents, are on the E drive. This has saved all my files from all sorts of upgrades and rebuilds. A fault such as a renamed profile does not touch the E drive. I've reloaded XP a couple of times and loaded W7 twice without losing anything except what was on the C drive. Back up. Back up. Back up. It is not a question of IF a computer will crash. It is a matter of WHEN a computer will crash and whether you've saved everything in a safe location. Jonathan, sorry to hear that.

there are quite a few of them now. I do have a WWII install but am using modified terrains. Are there some good WWII terrains that are working in SF2NA? These planes work great by the way!! -

Excellent use for these aircraft. We used to use our A-4's in the aggressor role for DACT. We called them "Mig-4's" Good to seem these aircraft put to that very good use.

Eurofighter just as good as F-22 if not better !
Typhoid replied to Veltro2k's topic in Military and General Aviation
So the recommended tactic to fight the F-22 is to count on the Raptor pilot to screw up? Yea, that'll work well............. -
