No Ghadafi in hand and he's still sending out calls over the media. I'm guessing he and some of his loyalist forces bailed out the back door and headed for some tribal strongholds somewhere in the south of the country. I think this might be a long time yet to go.

Indeed! Growing up in SD had no shortage of those! I remember one time when my beloved and fetching spouse was headed screaming out the door during one of those rocking and rolling - I never took my feet off the desk. Par for the course out there! We had a swarm in Colorado overnight as well - the biggest hit 5.3. Didn't wake me up but the guys still in Cheyenne Mountain were reportedly a bit "apprehensive". No reports of injuries so I'm guessing that everyone is OK and glad of that!

PSA Flight 182 crash - 1978
Typhoid replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Military and General Aviation
Correct. I was close enough to hear it - far enough away to say "what was that?" Both aircraft went down about a mile from my sister's house. (some very uncomfortable hours until we heard from her) There were no survivors from either aircraft, the plane went in almost vertically. Anything out there that talks about some "screaming superman" is a complete and despicable hoax. There was nothing left but charred pieces. There was one photo that someone caught if I remember correctly that may have lead to the hoax - what looked like the body of one of the pilots from the Cessna falling through the air to impact (more likely a piece of the aircraft). -

you have to follow the steps very carefully. It does work. It sounds like you forgot to delete the objects directory prior to installing the mod. Where are you hung up? -
They wouldn't. They'd just forclose and re-posses...............

Anyone who goes underwater in a boat with a hole in the bottom - ON PURPOSE - has some screws loose somewhere!! -
It looks interesting. But think about what you will bring that isn't already available. Organization? convenience is search? More data base references? expanded coverage? etc. There are some pretty good databases out there now. I have no doubt you will have a first class one, but what will draw people to you will be something extra over what the others already offer. I don't know what that would be, that's up to you. Just a thought.

"Love this quote what's scientific about an Aircraft Carrier unless he means research into how to make them..." Precisely! Gepard has it on target (ahem, so to speak...) They have a long way to go to learn how to build and operate carriers and carrier based aircraft. They know that and they are taking this one careful, logical step at a time. I'm glad they started with Varyag - that will have set them back a couple of decades.

F-16 over runs runway at airshow - oopsy
Typhoid replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
That should buff right out.....................! Hard to tell from the angle of the video. I suspect he went off of one side of the runway rather than overshot the end. But we'll just have to wait for the accident report. -
the percentage of GDP numbers from country to country are truly frightening. We are all in deep trouble.

Reminds me of a two-stage model rocket we launched one time. At seperation it kicked the upper stage to point down, at which point it accelerated straight into the dirt............!! -
