Iran successfully fires rocket carrying its 1st satellite
Mannie replied to lindr2's topic in The Pub
I have been looking at some Israeli online newspaper and the info I could get from it is that: Names are Iranian so don't build your hopes on reliability here. The name of the satellite itself is OMID (hope) and the name of the missile is SAFIR (ambassador). What do you make of it? Of course I couldn't get any tech info on ether of them. -

Jug man your kidding me right? Try to get from point A to point B that are 30 minute drive under normal conditions, with the whole of the IDF stands in your way. Cobras and Apaches filling you with led, battalions of Merkava MK4 giving you there 120mm smooth bore ammo. theres a lot more. just have given you a discount. Hey Bruce willies, is that a car your driving? -
Happy birthday Jimmy. :HB: Live long stay well and have a lot of fun. Many happy landings.

Again you forgot to engage the autopilot? One reason why I love my country. you almost never need to drive more then 30 minutes to get anywhere you need. Cheers. -

Yes indeed, Roopod, you are right. The last thing we need now is to NOT to take our foe seriously. serverandenforcer. let me remind you of another unfunny clown nobody took seriously at first. HITLER!!! Remember him? he looked a bit like Charlie Chaplin. -
way to go Jamaica. In Beijing just few minutes ago. All three first places go to Jamaica! One gold and TWO silver medals. The photo finish cams could not separate the second and third runners. They both finished in 10.98 seconds. amazing!

Adding a Tailhook?

I ones did the ini dance and added a tailhook to a C-130 and landed it on a carrier. It was funny as hell. -

Hen. This debate about which is a better fighter began long ago. Since day One of those fighters serving in the US armed forces. I'm kinda surprised this debate still goes on.

Well...We have chosen the favorite band and favorite guitar player. Isn't it time for our favorite lead singer? My choices are: Steve Perry of "Journey". one of my all time favorites . he can range his voice from silky soft to a thousand thunders. Robert Plant of "Led Zeppelin". The man with an electric guitar in his throat!!! David Coverdale of "White Snake". The roaring man! Ronnie James Dio of "Rainbow". I don't know where to put my finger. I just love him. Ian Gillan of "Deep Purple". in his good days there was no second to him. Last but not least: Freddie Mercury of "Queen". do I need to say why? Cheers.

F-35A Lightning II
Mannie replied to Klavs81's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Kalvs, can you define the forward hard point as "Targeting Pod Pylon" or something like it? If I understand it right, on this point theres usually a FLIR pod on the F-15E and F-16I, and those pods do not jettison. Just an idea, since I know very little to nothing of these things. Anyway why don't you try to use the vast knowledge of some of the wizards here. I'm sure they will be more then willing to help. Cheers mate. -
Thanks a lot buddy. It was a pleasure reading your post. It was the first time I heard of the real reason of the ISAF to choose the Eagle over the Tomcat. Thanks again.
-
streakeagle. Could you please point me to where you have found the article about the Israeli pilots that evaluated the F-14 and the F-15 in the 70's, that led to the ISAF (IAF) decision to choose the Eagle in the end? Thanks.
