moving from WOE to SF2 Eur
ChrisBV replied to peterbezemer's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I'm also getting interested in migrating from WO(X) series to SF2, specially now that I lost all of my TW stuff in a HH.DD. crash :( I reinstalled WOE and a few mods but I figure this could be a perfect opportunity for moving to SF2 altogether; I have a few minor concerns, though: 1- How 'moddable' is SF2 compared to WO(X)? Are WO(X) mods compatible with SF2? 2- System requirements... Ok, If my system can run WO(X) successfuly, can it handle SF2? 3- Runs ok in XP x64? -

Embarassing SF2V Question
ChrisBV replied to brian79's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I have an even more embarassing question about SF2... how different is it from SF/WOE/WOV/WOI? Is it worth buying or should I stick to the original TW series? -

Sí y también le pusieron "Needs To Understand the Meaning Of Community".

Question regarding ODS Panavia Tornado
ChrisBV posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Ok, it's like 2 in the morning so, to cut a long story short... I'm trying to mod a weapon station on AD/Sundonwer/AmokFloo/USAFMTL/Bunyap's (did I miss anyone?) Tornado, specifically the Left and Right CenterlineStations so to position laser-guided bombs more accurately as in RL: Basically what I want to do is for LGBs to be loaded in the forward hook-up points (there are three: forward, middle and aft; currently laser-guided bombs are set to be attached to the middle station, like fuel tanks and ALARMs; I'd like to correct this moving them forward one station) of each shoulder pylon. I add "LGB" to the aforementioned stations, deleting them from the other hardpoints but when I go to the sim, although the weapons seem to be correctly positioned, the shoulder pylons where the bombs are supposedly attached to are missing: Any ideas on how to correct this? -
Question regarding ODS Panavia Tornado
ChrisBV replied to ChrisBV's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Ok, one last question (I promise!): do you know how to turn the smoke effects from the engines OFF, after the aircraft has touched down? I've noticed the effects kick in only after the aircraft has reached a certain airspeed on its takeoff roll but I'd like them to be turned off once the aircraft is back on the ground again. Seriously, because this looks like some sort of "Pig Pen effect" and I really, really don't like it -

Inspired by the What does it feel like to be shot? thread... Hell, I don't know, what does it feel like to be under a cluster bomb airburst release of multiple anti-personnel and anti-armour submunitions? -

Oh, my dear Lord... that is a flight sim! I guess you could buy one, providing you have a military budget at your disposal. Nine projectors, 120 computers? And the same software operational in an actual F-16? Sure that doesn't come cheap! Best guess is that the cost of one such flight simulators could be up to a third of the cost of one actual F-16 so if you have like 20 million dollars to spare and the right connections, sure, you could buy one!

Anyway, changing subject a little bit... although there's nothing really special about this shot, I took it while on a training mission during pitch-black conditions and I got so scared watching my altitude indicator dropping fast and my jet not even clearing the bottom of the cloud cover that I had to release some flares to check out where the deck was -
"Lets go Fishing..." OMG, that reminded me of... LET'S NOT!!!
