  2. No I use lowest compression\highest detail,jpg`s and its still only 2.92 mb in size.For 4096x4096
  3. I use paintshop pro,as it lets you convert to a high standard jpeg, my hawk T2 skin in bmp is 4096x4096 and bmp was 48 fekkin mb...hi res jpg its 2.92mb(and 2.92 mb is uncompressed btw) speaks for itself eh..and as far as i can see the jpg is just as detailed,if not more.

The "waterline" or centre of the whole model (xyz axes)is set then to 0.0,0.0,0.0 then the game engine knows where parts are in game "world",ie,wheels etc. either your not setting the Parent mesh to 0.0,0.0,0.0 or your meshes are actually not correct size,reset xform resets the true size of the mesh ,each time you scale a mesh you need reset it when its correct dimensions. I always use a drawing thats set to the models real scale,I use a square set to ...Height,wingspan,and length of real model.then create the model to the exact size if possible,wheels etc easy to scale when you create the cylinder etc,or I make it close as poss to the scaled rawing,then when happy its ok,I reset xform the mesh,before animating or linking etc.

As well as a huge array of talented modders etc,and a huge fanbase of this sim,I want to thank all who offer free help when we stumble on a problem that we modders,cannot spot ...you know tye old saying..."Cant see the wood for the trees" A fresh pair of eyes always seems to do the job. This is leading up to ?...you may be wondering.well, I had a problem with a model,and just could not see the error, This is to thank Kev "Wrench" for the help,one of many thnx again one and all. we seem to overcome most probs in this sim eh.TK needs YOU !!! lol

    1st off,the new update will NOT affect the skins for it 2nd,regarding the centreline tank,already on it,should be ready next week,as im moving house and will be set up on weds 4ty july.and no im not american so july 4th doesnt affect me...lol

    Rather than flat engine texture,I decided to revamp it ,looks better imo,just need to map correctly,and add the lower vent ducting,and finish the cowl flaps.

I,after a few trial and error moments,have been trying to sort any problems people may get in getting tanks etc that are part of the aircraft model when exported,to work correctly. 1, Fuel tanks should be exported in place,and any attachment points and attachment angles etc must be added to the corresponding station in a\c data.ini. ie: [LeftStationOutboard] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=1 StationGroupID=1 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=-2.968,-1.792,-0.698 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=180.0 AllowedWeaponClass=AHM,IRM,SAHM,FT AttachmentType=SOVIET,WP ModelNodeName=Pylon01 PylonMass=60 PylonDragArea=0.02 FuelTankName=Tank_SU-9_600 FuelTankNodeName=Tank_SU-9L <This nodename entry is important or the tank will show also,if you select another item to load via loadout screen 2,Fuel tank etc MUST be added to weapondat.ini\weapons folder too.via the weaponeditor I might add. 3,as stated in another post,you CAN add decals to these. really its easy if you know how,I thought it may haelp anyone who may have any doubts as to how to do the above. cheers
