    When you set decals you do it via co-ordinates found in 3ds max,and set them to the mesh you want them on...ie serial number for red arrows hawk [Decal001] MeshName=Tail<< mesh name decal shows on DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=Red Arrows\SN Position=-4.03,-0.22 << Y and Z axis as they are on left of the Fuselage Rotation=2.0 Scale=0.6 DecalMaxLOD=4 [Decal002] MeshName=Tail DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=Red Arrows\SN Position=-4.03,-0.22 Rotation=-2.0 Scale=0.6 DecalMaxLOD=4 here you see how to find the co-ord of decal placement on 3d model also out file that shows the points you created above. hope this helps you. I forgot to add,when you want the pointer...click mesh you want the point for(in picture its VerticalTail mesh,then click Hammer Icon(TOOLS),then click "measure" button,then click the "create centre point" button

  7. Red Arrows pilots get their Red Boiler suits and helmets. and pop out for some airtime.

  9. hmm I tried that but light wont move.. we need to ask tk to add summat to allow us to link things via this method so they can move unless someone else knows a way

  11. Try adding this tho dont know if it only applies to the lights,where I got it... MovingLight=TRUE and or maybe ParentComponentName= someone with more Fakepilot experience can tell you more.
  12. Set lense to tga u supplied so u can alter it as req`d,bulb and base are a jpeg. ive set the light LOD facing down as you would see it from portside,im assuming u using fakepilot method...this look ok...attached file. A6 light.7z

  14. Yes seen those pics ,apparently this a\c is a sound trainer with good handling and good manoeuverability
  15. Models cockpit wont need a lot either,most of interiors there just needs working gauges etc

  18. kev...check ur pm....rotated it 90% so it should face outwards now..didnt realise u were adding via fakepilot method.
  19. use both ,currently running ATI nfx5870 and sf titles are perfect in fps and gfx wise
  20. If for some reason u have trouble adding a decal to a tank,you can easily make copy of tank and make it a\c specific and load it in loadout screen.

    Animating is easy,unless you have many parts such as comploicated landing gears,but in most cases linking parts works wonders,things like doors ,airbrakes etc etc are quite easy tho,if u need help feel free to ask. two pics of the LA-15 (bottom 2 pics)look as if they have a lot of animation but mostly linked parts do it so u need to animate less. the fishpot anims (top pic)are actually compliceted with a lot of rotation,linking etc. regarding high poly count,I usually spend time looking at ALL meshes and seeing what polys can be deleted that are never seen or needed,on hawk T2 I removed over 400 polys

Just need to adjust pilot and seat position,finish the texture(panels etc etc) Done so far Complete 3d overhaul,new Hi-res skin(4096x4096 atm) some new parts etc...wing vortex generators ,lights,centreline pod,fuel tanks,more detail to 3d model etc.all correct decals for all (actual 14 a\c) red arrow hawks. 2 weeks ...ish lol
