  5. Funny this topic should come up...I was wondering earlier,"I wonder if we have fake pilot thats imune to shadows.?.".as one I had, his shadow shows up,so thought of making new with attributes disabling shadows being cast ..do we need 1? in max,shadows are enabled like so...before exporting

    My ride...trouble is,parking it at work in car park is a risk....trolleys in wind and careless idiots....I usually park behind a trolley bay....:)

  13. just checked out the model linked above its way over scale..700m long...lol needs animating ...already skinned.....textures below... detail is good.... interior mapped\modded cockpit interior could be made into a pit... ive no time to do it,posting this for anyone who may consider it... to show what needs doing..a lot in my opinion also creator allows its use as long as credited...

How I got this to work in game... 1st tried as a basic model,with its own data.ini....was a pain getting it to work with it being a disc and no wings,gear,flaps etc... so had a brainwave.....why not link it to a model that is set up in game and make the UFO as part of it...so the mechanics and data is already sorted... just a matter of adding the bits to existing data.ini and fine tuning... so I got ravenclaws Test Aircraft max file he made... and stripped it down to bare essentials... and then assigned a texture, set to 0 percent opacity ,back face culled and to top that made the meshes in max of the test model,so it casts no shadow,shadows wont show on it etc....max users will know what I mean... see before and after pics.... Im not sure if the ufo will work without the actual 3d items of RC`s test jet. will try ... Thanks RC m8...saved me a huge headache.. linked main body to test model fuselage,and rest of the ufo bits to the ufo body.. large outer disc rotates and lower doors open to land etc. lights etc are self illuminated...and added some ordinary lights to test and adapt to searchlights..(.similar to scene in Close encounters ,in scene with Roy in van on crossroads..one of my fave bits btw lol.) experimenting now with some armaments for it..may try summat like new missiles and try to make them a bit like photon torpedoes....will have to experiment with that..simulating.laser beams as far as I know wont work...so will try different ideas. any ways im happy with it so far...hopefully it will trun out good enough... bottom pics...loading and hangar screens...

  22. Not a wip yet as waiting for permission to port to sf2 as max files uploaded for the tucano are not compatible with max 2009 it seems to be max2013 super tucano A29B and cockpit no plans for immediate future as needs permission...so please dont ask.
  23. We test run a J79-J1E with afterburner on a sunny, snowy, freezing cold day. There are a few new people with us, and they prove that "everybody loves afterburners !"
  24. when u install dlc the game packs lods into relevant cats so I assume you look at them as you would with normal stock a\c? weird some show some dont j6 opens f104 wont I had to browse the a\c in main thirdwire folder
