I think with a well-trained pilot, versed in the abilities of the Flanker and can compensate for any perceived weaknesses vs it's opponents, it would be a nightmare to fly against, and would make quite a difference.

Nice Oilfield you got there: Be a shame if something happened to it.

I'd forgotten how much fun this bird was to fly. No missiles, no bombs, usually no one shooting at us: just making holes in the sky, and turning JP-4 into noise  & pollution.  Using the runway on the FWS school map presents an interesting takeoff challenge at the EOR.

Approximately 20 minutes after these shot, my  wingman said "I've got a spike", did an immediate wingover and dove toward a SAM trap. In his best Leroy Jenkins imitation, he promptly got blown to flinders.......
