  1. I don't get it. So where in an SF2 sim would you find the actual object cat file from which you will extract anything? In SF1 series you would find it sitting in objects folder. In SF2 , where is it?
  2. I'll reinstall in C to facilitate further upgrades. Thanks again.
  3. I copied entire Ubisoft file to C drive. Still crashes. The fixed DLL was placed in the IL2 folder.
  4. Sounds like process I followed some time back on a modded version. I am running under Vista.I will try running as admin first. Can I just move entire set of game files from programs to C drive. Not sure if that will work under Vista. In any case I'll give a try tonight. Thanks
  5. Yes clean install and yes i found the fix and NADA. Opening the download I see simple DLL file which includes other components. I placed that DLL file as found in the main folder.
  6. I applied patch 4.11 two days ago and now I can't launch sim. After about three seconds it aborts. Can this be fixed or do I have to re-install?
  7. F-104S pack for SF2

Thanks Again for the 104s AND the fix.
  8. F-104S pack for SF2

These look great!! but Wing-tip fuel tanks do not show in loadout options. In fact, no fuel tanks show up as available loadout options. FTs are in the weapons folder .I can see" FT" in the Left and Right WingtipStation2 entries. Is there an error in data ini for the wing tip and underwing fuels station entries or am I missing something? Thanks,
  9. F-18 was new in 1980 but Operational since 1978. Check out photos of actual aircraft painted in historical color schemes at Centennial of Naval Aviation web site and also on Navy Newstand site. Fly Navy!
  10. You don't need to create weapons stations to have flare and chaff dispensers. Just make entries in Fuselage section of data ini. Entries would look like this: SystemName[018]=CMStation1 SystemName[019]=CMStation2 Then add specific dispenser info at end of weapons section: [ChaffDispenser] SystemType=DECOY_DISPENSER EjectPosition=-1.00,1.00,0.50 EjectVelocity=-5.00,0.00,10.00 NumChaff=40 NumFlare=40 look in data ini files of aircraft with chaff and flares and compare slightly different ways this info is entered.
  11. I mainly "fly" F-4 and retain CL tank unless in extremis. It's historically correct as noted in other responses. Back in the seventies the syllabus at Top Gun included a secton specifically on ACM with center-line tank. Note that on some TW F-4s you have to edit aircraft data file to have a CL tank station.
  12. For WOI 2 I modified some skins using Mirage Factory Kurnass skins but I could not find what the individual skin sections should be named.Did not see a cat file that contained Kurnass skins. e.g. F-4E_1 or Kurnass_1???
  13. Good point. Skins not lined up with mesh/LOD.Thanks,
  14. CRUSADER, Nope that did not appear to work. Note I'm running SF2 version of WOI.
  15. I attempted to place SF2 version of an F-4 G in WOI SF2 plus an older F-4J. I also downloaded new F-14Dfor WOI . None of them appear in game. Note that I changed F-4 G in service dates to fit WOI time frame. Do these go in some separate folder?
  16. GREAT INFO THANKS. I DID DISCOVER AIRCRAFT FOLDERS IN USER/ SAVED GAMES IN PROCESS OF RETRIEVING SCREENSHOTS. AND FIGURED OUT WHERE TO PUT EFFECTS. LOOKING AT POST THAT MIGBUSTER REFERENCED SHOULD HELP WITH OTHER ITEMS. F-14 ENTRY WENT OK. F-4J LOOKED GOOD AFTER GETTING LOD FILES BUT AIRCRAFT STARTS WITH NO FUEL.!!
  17. I miss YAP since I went on Vista. I guess YAP 2 dodes not run on the V Mosnter?
  18. Variation on Italian WW2 scheme- Desert Marine F-4- Thud Blending Marines in weather-
  19. Blue Nose P-51s
