  1. MissileEngine.wav

    Yeah, that's what I figured. Thanks :)
  2. the -78 looks really badass though, that's about it.
  3. The one on a stick outside my dorm at Shepard was.
  4. I tend to do a bit of "Role Playing" when it comes to the fictional campaigns at least. Recently I created a new pilot and flew the latest Desert v4 campaign for 1978. I modified it for only 10 missions, and then flew a custom campaign with an F-4D '75. After completing this campaign I intended to transition my pilot to F-16's for the Red Lightning '79 campaign. Of course, I flew some F-16A v T-38A training sorties out Nellis to transition my pilot to the Viper and then started the '79 campaign. It's been a very long, arduous journey. It was cool to start the NF5 campaign with 7 kills already.
  5. To me it seems like the difficulty is skewed towards the book end campaigns. By far the easiest has been Red Lightning '79 since the Soviet missiles/aircraft hadn't caught up to NATO quite yet so if you fly the F-15/16 campaign it's pure domination (I tried a MiG-23MLA campaign using the editor, I can get past like, two missions MAX). Once you play the '86 campaigns though and you have to deal with -29's, -27's, and -31's, it gets real hard. The Mig-17's in the '56 and '62 campaigns will eat just about anything alive, they are so far away better than anything else in the sky. I recommend a multi-role aircraft, just to keep things fresh with mission choices. Also, dive into (but backup!) your campaign files and try swapping out aircraft, replacing older mods with newer ones, changing the skins, etc. It's cool to use Volker's F-4E's and have them based at Hahn and Spangdalhelm and they all have the proper unit markings. Also, if you have SF2:Israel, download the USAF/NATO F-16A (TW) mod, the Mirage Factory F-16A is pretty old. Make sure you bounce any changes in the Campaign_Data.ini with the Campiagn.ini file as well.
  6. As I've said many times before in these threads... pretty sure your problem is that you're not using a B-1B.
  7. Bomb came from a B-1, don't know if it's Ellsworth or Dyess deployed right now :(
  8. Hey Erik, I got this one. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=strike+fighters+lgb+laser+pod
  9. Yeah, for some reason he has every single unit in the game in the campaign.ini file. I just went through and deleted the ones I didn't need.
  10. where do you get the beehive Enterprise?
  11. Baseball...love the game!

I'm not a huge fan of watching the Tigers play, however. lol. That being said, Verlander, Scherzer, and Cabrera are the real deal for sure. Play an amazing game. And the Royals and Tigers usually play an entertaining series.
  12. Baseball...love the game!

Minor League teams always have the best side show stuff, and it's cheap. I love baseball, but man is it hard waking up every day and being a Royals fan.
  13. Red is for someone shooting at YOU. Yellow is for someone behind YOU (that one is important) or anything else related directly to your flight(s), blue is any other friendly aircraft in the theater
  14. Godzilla

Saw it in IMAX 3D, was just like being there! That shot inside the school bus on the bridge was totally badass.
  15. That top image is 100% everything I've wanted from a flyable MiG-25
  16. Put it on steam, people will eat it up
  17. Beechcraft Staggerwing 04

    NICE!
  18. Rolling Scissors question

Always know how to fight YOUR aircraft. And part of that is choosing one jet, then flying the hell out of it. I knew the 109F in Il-2 like my own child, so much so that when I pre-bought BoS, I climed right in and was like I was riding a bike.
  19. Kept him from having to figure out how to light the aircraft carriers
  20. I've been working up a new skin for RavenClaw_007's AIM-9L and using that model for the CAP-9, this is the late 70's/early 80's CAP-9, going to work up a more modern one for the AIM-9M and try to get CAP-7's and CAP-120's as well. What do you think? I didn't do much beyond remove most of the markings, and change some colors around, though I think the nose section and forward fins need a darker texture. Big thanks to RC for the templates as well. My reference http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b4/AIM-9L_DF-ST-82-10199.jpg
  21. A lot of times when I start a new NF5 campaign I'll pull a strike mission at 0200 the first day of the war but that's about it.
  22. Food for Thought; A Flight Sim for the Ages
