  1. features for WOE Harrier Gr1, GR3, AV-8A and AV-8A (early) : - cockpit tweakes/fixes (landing gear button position , airspeed needles for tens of knots made working, better cockpit position) - avionic tweakes (new gunsights AA and AG, Sidewinder seeker cross, attitude bars tweak, new guncross and a more real layout of all that stuff) - data ini tweakes (better engine TSFC, loadout positions and capabilities) - other tweakes which I forgot about - new version, a mod of the AV-8A to have a early AV-8A which had the GR1 cockpit/avionics but without moving map (pre Baseline avionics upgrade) will upload it tomorrow if there is any interest...

The AV-8A(early) and Harrier GR1 have no attitude bars displayed in HUD A2A mode, thats no error. All data inis have several changes effecting service years and weapon loadout/capability They are based on WOE Update September 2008 inis in this v1.0 of the mod, but work without any problems in WOE patched with WOE Update October 2008. ChrisBV .. that skin looks good... any yea.. I updated the data inis too to have LGBs on the GR3 ... also changed other load limits etc.... The LGB thing.. thats no problem IMO, the game will "lase" main STRIKE targets ... and thats all the Harriers willdo/have done) with LGBs Writing that I realize that I forgot to add LGB capability to the AV-8A ... GBU-12 could be used from the outboard wing stations. ~

  7. for a hex editor, do a websearch for frhed or xvi32 .. those are two good free editors
  8. theres lots of stuff already "mentioned" in the dll's but not implemented in the games ...
  9. vista... did your bud disable the fx stuff in the terrain ? look in the nokledge base for "Vista fix" or something...

  12. AIM-9X

    just had a real cool 9X shot... flying F-15 with the left outboard missile selected.. target MiG-21 passing me at my starboard side, slightly higher than me ( 200 feet) , range 0.5 nm I fired when the MiG was at my 4 o'clock the 9X went out, turned slightly LEFT and kinda split-essed down, crossed my flightpath behind me, pulled up and hit the MiG ..

    Hoser.. for sure, all AIM-ACE VX-4 kites were fitted with VTAS .. the pics show the sensors on the canopy rails.. there are more pics on the net, even at airliners which show them too.. if you know what to look for
  15. yessss..more boats! :ph34r: wild idea... carries can have animations for the jet blast deflectors, the animation speed can be set in the boats data ini the animation shows only at mission start iirc... perhaps you can define all the parked planes ect as a animation, they show up in launch config at mission start, and when you come back to the boat they are in recovery config.... might some grey zones in that... well.. just a wild idea

  19. We all know the ANW map with its myriad of valleys and canyons.. but the stock SFP1 Desert map has a ~50 nm long canyon, well hidden in the south-west corner of the map. The canyon has 2 parts, the first 25 nm are very deep and wide and ends on a wall where you have turn 45 deg to the right and go over a saddle in the ridge to enter the 2nd half which is much shallower. Its more narrow and has a nice S-turn at one point. Attached below are canned missions for some stock kites, starting at the northern entry. I also made a new Desert_dogfight ini for MP with the respawn points at the northern and southern ends of the canyon 1st pic = northern entry/exit 2nd pic = running south 3rd pic = southern entry/exit looking north Desert_SWC_missions.zip DESERT_DOGFIGHT.zip
