  2. yep, the cockpit calls for several textures which are stock files in all games except WOI - F-4J_GAU1.bmp - F-100D_GAU1.bmp perhaps some more, cant remember.
  3. nice! you should edit your link and mark it with bold letters or another color. for others, the link is the "Air-Scene UK" part in the line above. Even better, if the admin could do some hocus pocus so that links are automatically underlined or colored ..

    wagsled, thanks for your reply! those articles contain lots of info, yep, but they cant replace info provided by guys like you, always interesting to read "first-hand" accounts. Overall, it sounds like VTAS was stopped by technical problems and than slipped " out of sight", so that the Soviets could grab a nice advantage some years later in the 80's when electronics became better. F-4N/S and F-14A with ( working) VTAS and AIM-9L in say 1977+ ... that would have been "interesting". This might would have led to AIM-9L/M versions with greater off-boresight performance, countering the Archer. Well , it turned out to be going somewhat different... Crusader.

    antenne und mast kannste verstecken, 'nen laengeren auspuff musste als extra lod bauen und dann als "pilot" in die kiste stecken... das verstecken geht so... : 1. füge einen neuen Component zur AircraftData sektion hinzu [AircraftData] ... Component[0xx]=Hide01 2. dann eine neue sektion ( ist an keinen festen platz in der ini gebunden) zum eigentlichen verstecken von dem teil das du weghaben willst... [Hide01] ParentComponentName= name vom mesh wo das zu versteckende teil dranhaengt ( kannste auch einfach leerlassen.. iirc) ModelNodeName=nix genau das.. DestroyedNodeName=dingensMESHname hier kommt der name vom zu versteckenden teil rein DetachWhenDestroyed=FALSE HasAeroCoefficients=FALSE das wars

  9. java guncam http://www.errthum.com/troy/warbirds/guncam/ I use it since years for SFP1 ect... its a little work intensive to make complete clips, since the guncam prog output is just a whole bunch of jpg's, which have to be run through a gif animation tool or a jpg-to-avi prog .

    du kannst die zwei streben " verstecken", hast dann aber loecher in der frontscheibe, da die canopy tga die flaeche der streben net abdeckt... ist aber eventuell mit einer extra tga ( decal) zu beheben.... edit... ah nee.. wenn die streben versteckt sind kannste kein decal verwenden... denn dann haste kein mesh wo du das decal draufmachen kannst..

  18. Mirage Factory didnt loose something. But all that stuff is just a hobby, and secondary to RL. So TIME is a factor. The Su-24M ( original model by Tomcat1974 ) is not dead nor lost nor anything else, its just another plane on the workbench. And its not that TMF delays projects intentionally, its simply the fact that there are more important things out there than modding a game.
