  5. in the avionics.ini, check the "RadarDisplaySearch - TWS - SST - ACM" sections for the pointed out line, then simply delete the word "RangeScaleText" [RadarDisplaySearch] ... Symbol[01]=HorizonLine Symbol[02]=RangeScaleText <<<<---------------------------- ...

  7. I hit regularly with AIM-9B. No prob. With the stock one and the weaponpack version of it ( has some minor changes iirc) I usually put my pipper slightly above the target after I get tone. Ranges at which I fired and hit was anywhere from 0.6 to 1.5 nm (approx.) All settings at Hard.

  9. basically, in the WOE F-15A friendly contacts become a dot while enemy contacts stay a rectangle
  10. A thought here about the A-6 loadouts during the Lybia encounters, it could be possible that they had the AIM-9L because of possible encounters with Lybian helicopters, Hinds etc. If you come across one, its always good if you have something to zap it no ? Reminds me of USMC AH-1T which were armed with 1 AIM-9M during OP Preying Mantis int he Persian Gulf...... that wasnt a common configuration either .... Of course, the USMC wanted and made sure that the AH-1T got AIM-9 capability. But it wasn't a common operational configuration. But there were/are times where a AIM-9 just might be handy. I think that applies to the A-6 too. Think about a "low Intensity" conflict where Coastal Anti-Shipping Patrols need to be done and the opposing forces have armed Helos or other small aircraft, which can pop up out of hides and appear real quick. Or think about the RAF Buccaneers in the Gulf War, they had a AIM-9L . Not a Fighter either. But its still causing trouble for the enemy by just beeing there, since its no easy meat in any case. MJ
  11. LOL hey Lexx, edit: you are right. tanks are a part of the model
  12. my A-6 can mount gunpods on the inner pylons.... :D 'cause its cool :D edit: added the smilie
  13. single IRM pylons must be part of the main .lod file. but you can use a special 2IR rail adapter , just need to find a frienfly 3d max owner who build you one :D add the IRM and 2IR to the left inboard or outboard station. the 2IR rail model should have its x-axis 0 position below the left pylon, and extends invisible to the right pylon where the 2nd rail and missile position is located..... kinda a stretched LAU-105 ... well thats the theory so far... btw... 2 out of the 8 IDF/AF F-15 bombing the PLO HQ in Tunis 1985 were F-15C with a MER of MK82's on the centerline ....hehehe
  14. [Canopy] SystemType=ANIMATION InputName=ANIMATION_10 <<-- # of the button, possible is # 1 to 10, set (or check for them) in the games controller commands menu DeploymentMethod=MANUAL AnimationTime=3.0 AnimationID=6 I think you are familar with the rest .. ;-)
  15. F-1C has 135 rounds per gun = 270 rounds total. The recce version F-1CR has only 1 gun, the left one is deleted to make room for recce stuff.
  16. thanks man, really a big chunk of serious work done on those kites edited to add a smilie ... LOL
