getting the FPS back
kesegy replied to jaeger_301's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
i run it sometimes on my 1991 casio wristwatch with 16kb of memory. tho i do have to turn the shadows and mirrors off so i don't get as many kills as i do on my desktop system. -
Time for a silly F-8 question
kesegy replied to Gr.Viper's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
didn't see it yet in the september patch, but this is usually how my wingmen used to land. they would touch down, bounce, go to edge, tip over and just when they were about to fall in the water they'd disappear like they landed properly. ah happy memories always bring a smile to my face -
all the above links take me to english youtube did you try clearing cache and cookies from your browser? this happened to me during the georgia conflict when i watched some videos with russian youtube links, so it stuck on cyrillic and i couldn't get it back to english until i just clicked delete private data in firefox.

rapidshare and emule are not, in my view, comparable. while emule is based on peer-to-peer technology, with rapidshare you download from their servers. regarding the security issue, files are that secure as is the person posting them, so you have to be careful who you trust. if you are the one uploading to rapidshare, why don't you protect the file with a password, and just give to the other person you expect to download the file?

don't bother. my windows is in english too. the game checks your ip when you connect to the server.

The Official Sept/Oct Patch Thread
kesegy replied to Murphy'S's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
don't install the patch and no problem i, for one, am happy to pay a small price in fps drop in order to enjoy everything good the patches have brought to wov and woe. i've had so much more fun with the new ai in wov since the patch came out, i'd never switch back. -
only for the US (and Canada maybe but i'm not sure) rest of the world - don't download

The Official Sept/Oct Patch Thread
kesegy replied to Murphy'S's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
this is great stuff, i'm enjoying renewed wov especially. btw, does anybody get this slowdown/mouse lag in the roster screen? every other menu screen works fine. it happens in all three games. i'm running vista on toshiba satellite a300d-14p with an ati hd3200. otherwise, games run fine on medium detail. -

Famous Czechoslovak Migs
kesegy replied to kukulino's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
kukulino, congratulations on your degree. now, stop worrying about the metaphysic nature of things and ideas and get to work producing all those wonderful eastern block birds in tw sims -
good catch, you lucky bastard

that is just depressing.

you nailed it. ea has come to represent everything that is lame and bad about pc gaming today. it's really sad, cause i still remember when they were a cool studio making cool games (early 1990s) i know you people don't care much about football (soccer), but you should see what ea did with it's latest flagship sports game in europe - fifa. horrendous graphics, bland textures, jerky animation -- i swear it looks worse than soccer games in 2002. they only updated the rosters. horrible stuff. honestly, i wouldn't play an ea game if someone gave it to me.

wow. cool model. always nice to see someone remember some of those undeservingly left out birds. good work

WHAT ?
kesegy replied to Steve s's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
lol i think i have that on tape -
i watched the whole thing :blush2: and i really can't extract anything useful out of her entire rant. these kids are somewhere else, not on this planet, and that's gonna bite them in the a$$ sooner or later well, what can i say. Emos - can't live with them, can't live without... hmmm.. no wait, we CAN live without them.

i watched several documentaries on this country it and north korea is, in my firm opinion, the single most depressing place on the face of the planet. something like real life "1984". for its peoples sake, i sincerely hope this hereditary communist regime falls once and for all.

i'm not too convinced. aside from the fact that i certainly don't plan to use a browser in beta (knowing google it might be quite some time, if ever, it leaves the beta stage) there are just too many valid concerns raised on the issue of privacy (starting with that Terms of Service blunder on release). we'll just have to wait and see how things fold out. if they manage to get it right i'll be more than happy to switch, but i just don't see that happening. a lot of "shady" people want to see google fail, so i think chrome will be extremely often targeted by malware creators.

thank you very much, oh mighty google, but I prefer to keep my private data to myself. therefore, Opera shall not leave this pc. ever.
