  1. Actually I installed the add-on RED ACs and campaigns before but now I'm a bit hesitant to do it on the WoI. Besides I ebelieve only a few modded planes come with original cockpit. well at least all the Mig-21s do.
  2. I know that the RED ACs are already covered by modders but so did the Israeli wars. How about an official add-on that adds RED ACs as flyable and add RED campaign as well? Mig-15, Mig-17 and Mig-19, Mig-21, Mig-23, Su-7, Su-20 of all variants. I'm salivating already.
  3. I think I'm gonna buy this Saitek evo joystick. Actually my number one reason to buy a new joystick is not any of the thirdwire games but my old IL-2 Forgotten Battle game. The game is about 4 years old and it is imo still leading WWII flightsim genre. But I aprreciate your tips Warlord.
  4. Hey I found a Saitek Cyborg evo wireless joystick for about US$80.00 I've heard so many good things said about Saitek joystick. Will this be a good buy? Will it last? That's my main concern after my experience with logitech joystick
  5. To get brands other than logitech game controller I have to wait until somebody or me go abroad . The chances are too slim to find other than logitech's joystick here. Couple weeks back I asked about one of their their driving wheel product when they were having exhibition at a mall....but that was because the promotion girl was irresistibly beautiful....hey I'm single .
  6. I just read buyer's reviews on Amazon quite many people pointed the same problem that I once had with my old stick. I think I better look for other brands. It's difficult to find any other brand aside from Logitech for game controller here. Imo logitech game controllers are not built for longevity. I prefer to spend 5 times or even more the amount just for longevity.
  7. Thank you for telling me that. I think I'll try to go for that one.
  8. My first logitech joystick(Extreme 3D Pro) broke down after a mere three months. And I used my joystick quite gently. I brought it to the shop they repaired it and after 2 weeks it broke down again. This cycle repeated itself twice until I gave up all hope and convinced that Logitech joystick was trash. Is there any good logitech joystick that is actually longlasting? Or should I learn from my past experience and avoid them altogether?
  9. Hey it works. Thanks Dave
  10. I changed my avatar with a custom one and uploaded it to CA site. But the new avatar never showed on the forum either in old posts or new ones. What did I do wrong? After uploading the new avatar shows up on my avatar setting but won't show in any of my postings.
  11. Brings a lot of memories of the old days
  12. F-19 Stealth Fighter. Run on DOS based CGA-PC. CGA was a black, white, red , blue(4 colors) color monitor I think. I was in my junior high school then. I sweat seeing a Mig-29 coming in from the cockpit TV. I didn't know as much as now about aviation. I thought it was possible to see the enemy detected by radar on the cockpit TV . I never had so much fun before. The Mig looked more like F-111 but I didn't know better then. I was having a blast.
  13. Is there any chance to install the deuces effect only without the weapons pack. Last time I installed the weapons pack Some of the weapons are hanging off the pylons.
  14. I tried HARD AI. And ALL my attempts to bomb my target were ruined by the marksmanship of the AAA fire. If I came in high the SAM would kill me and if I came in low the AAA would kill me. Ouch. I'm switching back to normal AI.
  15. Yea I set everything except flight model at HARD . But sometimes I feel it's too easy to snatch enemy planes from the air with NORMAL flight model while setting it at HARD would increase my blood pressure too much while dogfighting especially with older planes like the Mirage. Though F-16A and F-15A are till a joy to fly at HARD. I haven't tried HARD setting for AI though. Should I? I just don't feel the tension with normal AI and normal flight model and Mig-21 is supposed to be a very dangerous opponent in their time as far as I know.
  16. I usually use the normal setting but which one do you use? I just tried the hard setting flying the F-16A. It's kind of weird as the F-16A is a fly by wire plane but my plane would still not compensate automatically on the imbalance caused by the release of ordnance from one of the wing pylons. I like to play as real as it gets because I get the most satisfaction from that setting. But I'm curious which setting do most people use?
  17. Hehe Yes I can do with imagining that the Israelis had developed a helmet mounted sight that gives out the bombing reticle extending from the HUD. I hope it gets fixed though. Meanwhile, Life isn't fair so am I, even in game .
  18. I'm rather confused and happy at the same time that the bombing recticle of the newer planes like the Kfir actually extends out of the small HUD. Making it easier for me to judge when to press the bomb release trigger. But is this realistic? Or is it meant only to help gameplay? Thanks
  19. Thanks I think it's meant not for WoI. But the install is the same? Because from the files I noticed some differences with WoI Ground Object files
  20. I believe Merkava Mk1 already entered service in sufficient numbers(250) in 1982 in time for the first Lebanon war. But there isn't a Merkava unit in the game?
  21. I would rather an expert to do it  . Trial and error is time consuming at best.
  22. I downloaded the explosion effect 3 from CA_Starry. It's a great mod imo but when my rocket hit an enmy armor the explosion is really out of proportion killing the immersion right away. Is there a more realistic enhanced explosion effect? If there isn't consider this a request for a numbed down more realistic explosion effect. Thanks
  23. You mean making our flight perpendicular to that of the locking enemy. Ohh so THAT IS BEAMING.... Thanks MigBuster
