Guess my name can be added to the offender's list as well, with me just recently asking Capun if any update was available fon the HF-24 I never really thought about it the way USAF mentioned it, I honestly believed that occassionally asking someone about the progress of their project showed how much one appreciated their work, oh well guess when it's asked by a large number of people on a constant basis it can get rather annonying. [Rant mode on] What a load of horse**** ! If you're willing to wear the uniform you should be willing to accept the responsibility that come's along with it. I was in the Canadian Forces (Army) for four's year's and got deployed oversea's for a while (former Yugo), was I scared ? Yes. But I was fully aware of what the job entailed, prior to joining up and knew I could be placed in some not so pleasant situation's. If you're joining the Armed Force's of your country, know that the uniform isn't only something you wear to look sharp in but that it also represent's sacrifice amongst other's. We had a select few who tried to pull all kind of S**T to not get deployed, well in that case you should'nt have joined for ***** sake.....exhale...sigh [Rant mode off] @Major Lee: Good to see that your son made it back safely and in good health.

I know this is somewhat offtopic, but the focus is still the F-2. The link below is for the Keypublishing forum's, which if I'm not mistaken is fairly reputable. What I fail to understand is the outright negative view of the F2 I find it rather amusing that the Chinese are bashing the F2 and calling it junk Did it really fail that miserably to meet the JASDF expectations ? http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=63520&highlight=F2 EDIT: Just to be clear so that there are no misunderstanding's, what little I know about the F-2A/B say's that it's very capable. I really like the aircraft, love the look's, but what (again) blew me away was that the Chinese member's were bashing it ! Aside from a few pathetic J-10's and a few SU-27's what do they have in their arsenal that could pose a threat to the F-2 ?

What do you think the right choice would have been ? Based on their spending budget and requirement's. For some reason I doubt that the RAAF is going to go the European route, the Mirage III probably being their last purchase from that continent, just a guess, I could be waaay of the mark.

Would someone be willing to do the skin for this unit ? Please and pretty please ! If I'm not mistaken the unit was one of the first to convert to the F/A-18D and I know that we don't have one for SFP1 but I was wondering if one could be done to be applied to a regular 18. So yeah, that's pretty much it. Apologies' if this skin has already been done and is available in one of the skin pack's, I've just moved and therefore have no internet access from home until next week and school frown's upon downloading stuff, I've already been caught on more than one occassion.

Sad but true, will probably take generation's to get rid of that complex, thanks to the Brit's.

In an already growing close relationship between India and Israel it has got a new boost when Indian air force (IAF) and Israel Defense Forces/Air Force (IDFAF) have agreed to exchange pilots between the two air arm, IDFAF pilot posted in India will be flying MiG-29B Baaz operating from Adampur Airbase which is located in western India (Punjab) 100 kilometers East of the Pakistan border, Adampur is one of 14 Indian Airbases under the Western Air Command within 300 kilometers of the Pakistan border. Adampur Airbase is home to at least 70 combat aircraft including two squadrons of MiG- 29s, (No. 47 Squadron - MiG-29A/C/UB” Black Archers”, No. 223 Squadron - MiG-29A/C/UB “Tridents”) two squadrons of MiG-23s and a squadron of MiG- 21s, while IAF pilot will be attached with Israeli Tayset squadron which operates F-16C/D Barak from Hatzor air force base Located near the lower west coast of Israel , Hatzor airbase is home to three squadrons of F-16 A/B/C/D operated by 101 , 105 , 144 Squadrons by IDFAF , similarly pilots from the Transport wing will also be exchanged IAF pilot will be attached to C-130 Squadron and a IDFAF pilot will be attached to IL-76 Squadron and IAF Helicopter pilot will be attached to CH-53 Squadron and a IDFAF pilot will be attached to MI-17 units ,the exchanged pilots will carry out routine training sorties from their respected posted Squadrons and after completion of their tenure will be replaced by other pilots from their respected air forces, Mig-29's are also operated by Syria and Iran and F-16's are operated by Pakistan, these agreement will help deep understanding of functioning and tactics of each others air arm and also give deep insight into aircrafts operated by their rivals. http://www.idrw.org/2007/10/18/iaf_and_idf...nge_pilots.html Maybe Ghostrider can shed some light on it.
