  1. SF2:E F-86A Sabre, USAFE, Pack

    SF2:E F-86A Sabre, USAFE, Pack 2/11/16

    -- For SF-2E, FULL-5 merged, Reccomended --

This mod is a full aircraft package, containing the F-86A Sabre as used by the USAFE during the early-to mid 1950s. This pack contains only those aircraft as used in Europe.
Like the KAW Sabre pak (albeit this containing only 1 airplane), all needed bits (Effects, Sounds, Pilot, etc) are included.

Again, as a reminder, this is a European-centric aircraft package only (SF2:E)!!

In this package are F-86A Sabres from the 81st FIW, USAFE, as based in the UK ...

    116th FIS
    91st FIS
    92nd FIS

Almost all markings are decals, with the exceptions of the tail fin color bands. A "fake SqTail" decal is included and will activate the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen for those units listed in the game's SquadronList.ini (91st & 92nd). The 116th is not, but if you wish to add it, feel free to do so. Decal randomization is TRUE. All skins are in jpg format. 24 Serials and Buzz Numbers are included for all 3 skins, and are accuate for A Model Sabres, but just not for the squadrons represented. Consider them 'generic' for this purpose. The Hangar & Loading screen remain their "KAW" versions.

The Data and Loadout ini have been tweeked as per the recently released F-86F-40 USAFE pak, and Ground Attack (CAS, Strike) mission tasking has been activated. Operational service dates remain the same, even though the F-86A did not arrive in the UK before 1951.
REMINDER -- the mission tasking and loadouts are =ONLY= for use by American Sabres (this version) as used in the SF2:E mods folder!!! Don't use it anywhere else! See "Notes" for more information, if wishing to use the modified data ini in your KAW mods folder.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! Also, as this mod pack is specificly designed for an SF2:E (Europe) install, PLEASE read the "Notes" section for important information.
It is HIGHLY ADVISED you read this document through, after unzipping, but BEFORE installing to you game.
Just so we're clear on everything, this is for use in Europe (SF2:E) ONLY!!!

    Happy Landings!

  2. SF2 F-86F-40 Sabre, USAFE Part 1 Fix-It Skin Pak

    SF2 F-86F-40 Sabre, USAFE Part 1 Fix-It Skin Pak 2/9/16

This pack contains replacement "1" maps for the aircraft recently released in the
SF2:E F-86F-40 Sabre, USAFE Skin Pak (Part 1), avaliable at the following URL:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/16039-sf2e-f-86f-40-sabre-usafe-skin-pak/

It has been brought to my attention that I was in error in leaving on the anti-glare panel on the nose. This will replace them with 1 maps that don't have the A-G panel. My apologies!

Simply unzip, and drop the supplied /Objects folder into the mods folder where you installed the original pak. Allow the overwrite.

The Part 1 Package will also be getting updated with these corrected skins, for those that have not downloaded it yet. In other words, if you have them already, you won't need to download the whole package again, but should use THIS package
    Happy Landings!

  3. SF2:E F-86F-40 Sabre, USAFE Skin Pak

    SF2:E F-86F-40 Sabre, USAFE Skin Pak 2/7/16

    -- For SF-2, FULL-5 merged, Reccomended --

This mod is to be applied to the "F-86F-40 Remod Pak", available at the following url:

    http://combatace.com/files/file/13788-sf2-f-86f-40-sabre-remod-pak/

It is also advised, if/when installing both the original Remod Pak and these skins in SF2:E you =MUST= remove any/all other skins for non-European based users (such as JASDF, IIAF, EtAF). This will preclude any "oddites" that you might see over The Continent. See "Notes" below for more information on the included data and loadout inis.
In other words, this is a European-centric skin/decals/ini package only!!

In this package are skins for Sabres from the 50th FWB, USAFE, in the mid-1950s ...

    10th FBS
    81st FBS
    417th FBS

also a remoded/corrected version of the...

461st FDS, 36th FDW (corrected FDW)

skin/decal ini with 'fixed' tail skin, and corrected Wing affiliation in the texture set ini. Also, a "Level 1 decal" has been added, activating the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen. When installing, just allow the overwrite for this skin.

I've been unable to run down exactly WHICH F-86F version was used by these squadron, so simply chose to use the F-40, given the time frame they operated them (1953-58-ish).
As all the Sabres are mapped the same, can be used for any of the F-86F variants. However, if NOT using this on the -40 model, do =NOT= use the included data ini!! (but you can copy the changes, which are the 1950s pilot figure and 'steerable nose gear' callouts)

Almost all markings are decals, with the exceptions of the nose color bands for the 50th FBW birds. Tail bands are decals, at Level=1, and will activate the Squadron Displayed Name on the Loadout Screen (these are stock units,
listed in the game's SquadronList.ini). All skins use a "pool" of serial Serial and buzz numbers; while these should be considered 'generic' in nature, are for the variant depicted. Decal randomization is TRUE. All skins are in jpg format.

As well as a slightly tweeked data ini, a new "USAFE only" style loadout ini is included. . REMINDER -- this loadout ini is =ONLY= for use by American Sabres (this version) as used in the SF2:E mods folder!!! Don't use it anywhere else!

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! Also, as this mod pack is specificly designed for an SF2:E (Europe) install, PLEASE read the "Notes" section for important information on the 2 inis included!
It is HIGHLY ADVISED you read this document through, after unzipping, but BEFORE installing to you game.
Just so we're clear on everything, this is for use in Europe (SF2:E) ONLY!!!

  4. XvT/BoP Imperial Operation: Tatooine Patrol

XvT/BoP Imperial Operation: Tatooine Patrol 1/25/2016
For XvT =WITH= BoP addon (original CD) or the new GoG version

This is the first of 20 full battles for Imperial players, covering the time frame from before the Battle of Yavin, to after the Fall of the Empire.

In this set, you are a newly graduated pilot, and are assigned to the Tatooine Patrol Fleet, monitoring commerce to and from this desert planet. It's a very quiet duty, almost boring, with little action with the exception of the occasiional smuggler or other scoundrel violating Imperial Law. As has been said, "if there's a bright center to the universe, this place could be the farthest from it".
But as always, things beyond your control are happening...

These are to be used/placed into your ...Balance of Power/Combat folder.

All missions have been edited for fairness & balance (hopefully!), due the the enhanced AI and weapons effectivness in XvT/BoP. All have new briefings and descriptions. I've added radio messages to act as "in game hints" and to further plot lines. Please pay attention to them, as some may save your life or your mission critcal craft.

As always, =PLEASE= read the install instructions. Of course, the usual "Notes" and other nonesense.

  5. XvT/BoP Imperial Mission Set: "The Shieldtech Resarch Project"

XvT/BoP Imperial Mission Set: "The Shieldtech Resarch Project" 1/12/2016

(works with original CD version and new GoG version)

For XvT =w/Bop= Addon, or GoG version (must have the BW available, hence the need for BoP)

Imperial researchers have begun testing a newer, smaller shield generator for use on TIE class starfighters. It is up to YOU to begin field testing under actual combat conditions. You will fly your shielded TIE Interceptor (and other craft) in various real-world scenarios. But, as always, there are forces working against The Empire, conspiring to end the project...

This 6 mission set is to be used/placed into your ...Balence of Power/Combat folder.

Many of these missions have additional goals, messages (which are used as in-game hints and information), and "eye candy" added. Some are QUITE difficult, but all are winnable.
As always, PLEASE read this enclosed readme for full, detailed install instructions. Give the "Notes" section a read too, for well, notes!

    Good Luck and Good Huntng!

  6. SF2 "Civil/Firefighter" Mod Part 5B

    SF2 "Civil/Firefighter" Mod Part 5B 1/13/2016

    = For SF2, Full 4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED*! =

*-SF2NA is NOT a requirement, but having SF2:E is, as the terrain references objects in the GermanyCE.cat, as well as several aircraft. There are no "naval units" needed for this. HOWEVER!!! SF2:V is REQUIRED, as the Skyraider is used in this mod. Hence, at minimum, a FUll-4 Merged install in required!!*

This is part 5b of the incomplete "civil mod" as discussed on the CombatAce message boards. I've done, and gone, as far as I can, and instead of sitting on what I have, am uploading EVERYTHING in several parts in the hopes that someone will pick up the ball and run with it. A full civilian style flght sim may not even be possible, due to the game's central programing as a "combat flight sim", but you never know.
These packages will be broken down into their various components, and will include the (incomplete) "Forest Bowl" terrain, aircraft, skins and decals, ground objects, what few "weapons" are needed, effects, sounds, and all. Basically, my entire "Civil" mods folder, minus the stock 3W combat aircraft and ground objects.

Part 5B contains the following items:

    Objects/
    Aircraft

(please note this is the 2nd, and last half of the aircraft folder.)

As always, (hopefully!) easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!!
It is HIGHLY reccomended you download ALL the parts first, and then unzip them together in a temp folder to assemble. You WILL be creating a seperate, stand-alone mods folder for this. If unsure how to build one, consult the CombatAce SF2 Knowledge Base.

    Good Luck!

  12. XvT/BoP Alliance Mission Set: Lost Missions, Part 3

XvT/BoP Alliance Mission Set: Lost Missions, Part 3 12/18/2015
    A New Task Force:
Alliance Intelligence has gathered information about a new Imperial operation. A Star Destroyer is rallying starships together to form an alternate task force against the Alliance. Despite Darth Vader’s opposition to this, the plan is being implemented by the Imperial Admiralty. While the main part of the Imperial Navy focuses on hunting the Alliance elsewhere in the Galaxy, Red Squadron is assisting a small fraction of the Alliance in surviving Imperial attacks, and is carrying the battle to them.

These are to be used/placed into your ...Balance of Power/Combat folder.

All missions have been edited for fairness & balance (hopefully!), due the the enhanced AI and weapons effectivness in XvT/BoP. All have new briefings and descriptions. I've added LOTS of radio messages to act as "in game hints" and to further plot lines. Please pay attention to them, as some may save your life or your mission critcal craft.

As always, =PLEASE= read the install instructions. Of course, the usual "Notes" and other nonesense. The original readme is included for historical purposes, and contains short descriptions of the mission (some of which have been changed) and the original backstory. Unfortunately, there was no name attached to these, so proper credit can't be given. My apologies to the original author.

For XvT =WITH= BoP addon (original CD) or the new GoG version

Part 2 - Movement of Justice:
The Alliance has survived many brutal attacks by Imperial Forces. But the Empire has found itself depleted of resources and war material. The Alliance is now intent on destroying numerous Imperial stations, ships and depots in order to continue to survive. Red Squadron must carry the brunt of the load against these vital Imperial resources.

  15. SF2 WW2 SWP Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk. X, RAAF

SF2 WW2 SWP Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk. X, RAAF, v.9 by Cocas 1/5/2016

-- Something for the WW2 PTO players --

    = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*This mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, at any patch level. It was built for SF2 ONLY!! Also, some statements for anti-ship/naval strike require having SF2NA as part of your merged install (meaning: your WW2 PTO mods folder built from the SF2NA exe).*

*Note x2: This mod represents RAAF Beau TF Mk.Xs for SouthWestPacific (PNG/Solomons/etc) use =ONLY=! This is an Australian-only, Nationalized version, for use in the aforementioned theatre.*

This pack contains the following aircraft & skin/decal sets:

    Beaufighter TF Mk.X
    No 30 Squadron, RAAF

This pack represents RAAF Beau TF.Xs, from late 1943 through the war's end.
The Squadron Crest for each is used as the paint chip seen on the Loadout Screen.
Skins are in jpg format. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is set to TRUE.
As seen on the Loadout Screen, those letters marked with a star (*) have their serial numbers matched 100% to their plane-in-group letter. Those withOUT the star, while having served with 30 Squadron, could not be matched to their individual aircraft, but ALL are 100% historiclly correct, having served in this squadron. Many were lost on operations or accidents.
All weapons, sounds, pilots, etc are included.

    When in-game, you'll see:

    Beaufighter TF Mk.X (RAAF) (CAF)

On the Aircraft Selection Drop-down menu. The "CAF" (for Cocas Aircraft Factory) will diferentiate these Beaus from any others you may, or may not, have.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please =READ= them BEFORE installing this mod!!!. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

  16. 3rd Wire A-1H/A-1J Template Set

This is my template set for the STOCK 3rd Wire A-1H & A-1J Skyraiders.

These are multi layered Photoshop format (PSD) templates for the three main maps

    body
    left_wing
    tail

the templates are 2048 x 2048. there is also a "nodes" map for each, to assist in finding the little odd bits.

the right wing is mapped identically to the left, so the only difference would be for camoflague patterns.
All my myriad layers are intact, which explains the HUGE size of each of them. You may keep or discard those layers that you don't need as you see fit (many are experiments for a mod that fell through)

Somehow or another, these slipped my notice, and should have been uploaded a looooong time ago.

    Happy Skinning!

  17. SF2 IDF/AF Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk.X by Cocas

    SF2 IDF/AF Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk.X by Cocas 1/4/2016

    = For SF2:I, (Full-5 Merged, Reccomended/Preferred) =

*This mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, at any patch level. It was built for SF2 ONLY!!.*

*Note x2: This is a nationalized, stand-alone, version designed =ONLY= for use by the IDF/AF*

This mod represents the 4 Beaus used by the IDF's No. 103 squadron in late 1948. They had a VERY short service life, and this is reflected in the data ini. Operational dates are rounded to 'whole months'. Historically, there were 5 aircraft, one crashing before leaving England. I've given you 6 serial number decals, just because.

All markings, excepting the fuselage stripe, are decals and decal randomization is TRUE. This is a complete package, containing all "bits" necessary - weapons (bombs, rockets, rocket rails, drop tank) pilot figures, sounds and etc. Guns are not, as the 20mm cannon is a stock item. The torpedo capability has been removed, as research has turned up nothing even remotely mentioning it. Mission tasking in the data ini, and loadouts have been adjusted accordingly.

This mod is designed to replace, in total, any and all earlier versions that are no longer available from "other sources". The may cause issues with existing campaigns (if any that use the Beau), but are easily fixed with the simple text edit of the campaign ini.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!!

  18. XvT/BoP Alliance Mission Set: Lost Missions Part 1

XvT/BoP Alliance Mission Set: Lost Missions Part 1 12/8/2015

For XvT =WITH= BoP addon (original CD) or the new GoG version

Part 1 - Nowhere to Run:

The Alliance has been forced to abandon Hoth after it's discovery, and subsequent invasion, by Imperial forces led by Darth Vader. With the Alliance on the run once again, they find they have nowhere to hide, and nowhere to run with the Empire in hot pursuit, determined to destroy them. Just as after the Battle of Yavin, With Alliance forces scattering throughout the Outer Rim, many units are standing alone, but standing firm against The Empire.
In the midst of this chaos, Star Destroyer Warrior and it's task forces are determined to exterminate Red Squadron, whose exploits are known throughout the Galaxy. The Alliance =will= fight back in order to survive.

This is part 1 of a 3 part series chronicling the adventures of Red Squadron in the post-Hoth time frame. The other "Lost Missions" will follow as they are completed.

-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --

*This mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, at any patch level. It was built for SF2 ONLY!!.*

*Note x2: This mod represents both early and late production Beau TF Mk.X for ETO and MTO** usage ONLY! Seperate versions for other theatres, will be released when and as they are finshed.
We are calling this "version 0.9", as there exists the possibility, at some point in the future, of more work being done. But, we wanted to get them out into the hands of our WW2 End Users ™ for their examination, flying pleasures and so forth.*

**= will require new squadron code and/or individual aircraft letter decals. But the paint scheme is the same for MTO usage, in the aircraft lifespan/timeframe. However, SEAC/SoWesPac are completely different, and will require the release of "theatre specific" versions.

This is a BRAND NEW aircraft, brought to you by Cocas Aircraft Factory & Co. This package contains 2 complete aircraft, representing the Beaufighter TF Mk.X in both it's iterations.
This pack contains the following aircraft & skin/decal sets:

    Beaufighter TF Mk.X (Early)

    No.143 Squadron
    No.236 Squadron
No.254 Squadron -- all of North Coates Strike Wing, Coastal Command

    Beaufighter TF MK.X (Late)

    No.254 Squadron, CC

The TF Mk.X (Early) has the rear flex MG, no radar and no fin extension.
The TF Mk.X (Late) is the final produciton verison, with thimble nose radar, rear flex gun, and the tail fin extension.

The Squadron Crest is used as the paint chip seen on the Loadout Screen. Skins are in jpg format. Everything is included (weapons, pilot figures, sounds, etc), excepting the guns (you should have all these already).
All markings are decals, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. Other squadrons can easily be reproduced by creating new squadon code letters (either for ETO or MTO usage). As is my habit, a sample bmp is left in the Decals folder so you can match the font and size.
All serials, while correct for the variant depicted, should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they represent no specific aircraft with the unit(s) represented.

    When in-game, you'll see:

    Beaufighter TF Mk.X (Early) (CAF)
    Beaufighter TF Mk.X (Late) (CAF)

on the aircraft selection drop-down for this aircraft. The "CAF" (for Cocas Aircraft Factory) will diferentiate these Beaus from any others you may or may not have. It =IS= designed to replace any other Beaus of this type from "other sources".

  21. XvT/BoP Independant Operation: A Star Is Born

XvT/BoP Independant Operation: A Star Is Born 10/10/2015

A short 5 mission TOD for XvT/Bop. (Works with original CD and 'new' GoG versions)

(There was no original 'readme text' for the original set, so this will have to suffice.)

It is some years before the story chronicaled in "A New Hope". At this time, the Rebel Alliance is still flying Y-Wings and Z-95 Headhunters. Although, Incom Corp is testing the first of it's new starfighter prototypes...the T-65 X-Wing. One of those lucky enough to be involved with the project is Siranno DelSol, know as the 'Starry Knight' to his friends and family on his home of Marek Prime. Marek is a neutral planet, aligned with neither the Empire nor the Rebels. The political climate on Marek is a 'wait and see' policy with the both of them; shakily sitting on the fence between the waring factions.
And the future of it's inhabitants is about to be decieded....
These are to be used/placed into your ...Balance of Power/Combat folder.
Many of these missions have additional goals, messages (which are sometimes used as in-game hints), and "eye candy" added.

As always, PLEASE read this enclosed readme for full, detailed install instructions. Give the "Note" section a read too, for well, notes!

  22. XvT/BoP Alliance Operation: Revolt on Draketh V & Return to Draketh

XvT/BoP Alliance Operation: Revolt on Draketh V & Return to Draketh 12/01/2015

For XvT -with- BOP add on (both original CD & new GoG version)

This package contain 2 sets of 12 mission each, in chronological order.

    Revolt on Draketh V:
One of the major systems (Draketh V) that the Alliance had hoped would join the Rebellion against the Empre, has just fallen into Civil War. The dissidents that started this dispute are a group of Drakethians who refuse to live by Draketh V's governmental laws. This is a new group with few resources at their disposal; much like the early Rebel Alliance. Known as the Chasekk Directive, this group has begun to attack many vulnerable Alliance convoys in order to obtain supplies and weapons for their own use...
    Return to Draketh:
The Alliance, successful in resolving the dispute between Deaketh V and the Chasekk Directive, has now gained the support of the Drakethians. However, the Chasekk Directive (who was secretly working on advanced shield generators during the Draketh V Tour) remains Neutral. They have not yet decided if they will join with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, or the Galactic Empire...

These are to be used/placed into your ...Balance of Power/Combat folder. Each set has it's own folder (part 1- drak, part 2- chas) and the lst reflect a chronological order.

Most of these missions have additional goals, messages (which are sometimes used as in-game hints), and "eye candy" added. To get the maximum points, stay 'in mission' until all goals are achieved.

As always, PLEASE read this enclosed readme for full, detailed install instructions. Give the "Note" section a read too, for well, notes! The original readmes for both sets are in their respective folders.

  23. SF2 1950s USMC AD-6 (A-1H) Skyraider Skin Pack

    SF2 1950s USMC AD-6 (A-1H) Skyraider Skin Pack 12/13/2015

    = For SF2 (or Any & All =at= Full- Merged) =

*Note: must have SF2:V as part of your merged install to access the A-1H aircraft itself.*

The package represents USMC AD-6 (A-1H) Skyraider squadrons of the mid-1950s. Included in this set are skins for:

    VMA-212
    VMA-333
    VMA-225*
    VMA-251*

*Note: In Real Life ™ service, these 2 squadron used AD-4B (and AD-5) aircraft, but as there is little difference between the marks, for gaming purposes, are used with the AD-6/A-1H. (they =CAN= be added to the "SF2 AD-4B Skyraider, KAW Era" mod here at CA, but you'll have the blue drop tanks on your grey/white skins, but that DID happen in Real Life. Or one can hand-load the 'white' drop tanks.)

All aircraft use a pool of modex and BuNums, with individual air group letters. In this respect, they should be considered "generic" in nature. All markings, excepting special squadron paint schemes (VMA-225 only) are decals. All skin maps are in jpg format. Decal randomizaion is TRUE. For those squadrons that are listed in the stock 3w "squadronlist.ini", a decal is used to activate the squadron name display on the loadout screen.

Reminder: nothing is included herein that makes them Player Flyable. There is a superb cockpit by Dels you should have already! If you don't, what ARE you waiting for?? :)

  24. XvT/BoP Alliance Mission Set: TROJAN SQUADRON

XvT/BoP Alliance Mission Set: TROJAN SQUADRON 11/11/2015

(works with original CD version and new GoG version)

For XvT =w/Bop= Addon, or GoG version (as the B-Wing is needed, & missions are saved in BoP format)

Operating from a secure base deep in Alliance held territory, Trojan Group conducts highly specalized infiltration missions. With several ex-Imperial or Old Republic starships, it is a highly mobile force ready to strike deeper into Imperial space than any other unit.

IMPORTANT NOTE: while this is a Rebel Alliance mission set (and labeled as such), because of HOW it's set up, you'll =ONLY= be able to fly this with your Imperial pilot. While I'm sure you could add these to the rebel.lst, during testing I experienced MAJOR failures of the game. So, for saftey's sake, be an Imp for these. Create a new pilot if necessary (reccomended).

These missions are to be used/placed into your ...Balance of Power/Combat folder.

Most of these missions have additional goals, LOTS of radio messages (which are often used as in-game hints), and "eye candy" added. They have been converted & almost completely rebuilt from their TFCD origins. Several use classic Sci-Fi Easter Eggs. See if you can find them!!

For XvT =WITH= BoP addon (original CD**) or the new GoG version

This 6 mission set centers on a small group of privateers, working for the Rebel Alliance at the borders between Imperial, the Corporate Sector Authority, and Alliance controlled/contested space.
You are tasked with harrassing Imperial and Corporate assets and disrupt shipping vital to the Imperial war effort. And to make a profit all at the same time! You'll be attacking said assets, capturing shipping (and reselling said ships), and so forth.

These are to be used/placed into your ...Balence of Power/Combat folder.

All missions have been edited for fairness & balance, due the the enhanced AI and weapons effectivness in XvT/BoP. All have new briefings and descriptions where needed. I've added LOTS of radio messages to act as "in game hints" and to further plot lines. Please pay attention to them, as some may (will) be quite funny.
