  1. Epic Followup A-6E film!

Thanks! Good stuff, pre A-6E TRAM days! Found mooar, btw Hopefully Youtube and/or the copyright holders see the educational and historical value in these films and leaves them up. I have seen a lot of these great films come an go on Youtube, especially a lot of the old Cold War era films, as they proactively pull them and and delete the accounts for fear of copyright claims.
  2. EPIC!

    Back when documentaries were "technical".
  3. All post processing, had to play dee-jay and mix a bunch of tracks and clips together. The hardest thing is this game's lack of a dedicated video editor like in Lomac. All those shots are "first takes" so to speak, as I had to film while flying and trying to keep the controls trim (really felt it, whenever I pickled off ordinance). Also, you tell which times I was flying the old TF30 F-14A (besides the VF-211 markings) and the GE engined F-14 A+/B, I kept stalling out like mofo. Big thanks to the Mirage Factory and the folks here at Combatace, you guys do not know how much life you have given this title with your mods and ini edits.
  4. Thank God no one was killed. I remember when an F-14 went down near Lynnhaven back in the 90s, and also someone's privately owned SAAB jet crashed. Hampton Roads, Tidewater, and North Carolina has been kind of lucky seeing the amount of commercial and military air traffic that passes through that area on any given day, that and the entire region's population has swelled ten fold.
  5. Humm...that apartment complex sounds familiar, not to far from route 58, I believe. I use to hang out in that area when I was younger. God I hope no one is seriously hurt and I pray for those who lost homes.
  6. Facial hair in combat

EPIC! As I have always said to my friends and enemies alike, since grade school. A man (or Greek woman) is never to shave his mustache, no matter what the circumstances.
  7. Epic savings win.

I know how you feel, I have learned the hard way that if something minor goes out on your car, you can usually fix it yourself for far less than a dealership or even a mechanic you may have. Brakes Oil changes Fuses even minor electrical stuff can be fixed pretty cheaply and with minimal tools Buying a $120-200 car computer code reader was a good investment. Better to pay that money upfront and once, instead of every-time a panel light comes on and you have to take it to a dealer for a "diagnostic".
  8. Aint this some stuff

Been a stressful past few months, with bills, an auto accident, behind in work at the office, family events, etc. But this made it all better... After sitting in traffic and dealing with aggressive drivers on 95N in Delaware on my way to visit relatives in NJ and NY, I saw this bad boy streaking out of New Castle airport. At first I thought; "Holy sh!@# that can't be what I think it is. NO mutha f!@$kin way!" (#actual words to my my wife's dismay who was sleeping in passenger's seat). Noo... "That is a freaking Fishbed!" (*edited and paraphrased) Then this immediately came to mind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3iRNd9-sy4 "Screw visiting the parents! Honey get your $#*t! in gear! We are heading west to the mountains, we need to get supplies and some ammunition!" "The damn communist are invading!!!" Low and behold it was privately owned Mig-21 which is based in Delaware. http://www.warbirdsofdelaware.com/Airplanes/MiG21/tabid/59/Default.aspx I am use to seeing US military stuff all the time. F-16s, C-17s, C-130s, and KC-135s are a frequent occurrences here. I can recall days of getting to watch F-14s and A-6s do touch and gos as well. But that Mig-21 was truly a thing to see, and the best Christmas gift I could have ever gotten. Merry Christmas to all!!!
  9. I know what I want for Christmas

http://www.flyingmule.com/products/JS-60023C02 The downside is the price, this thing cost as much as an flying EDF plane. As a matter of fact...
  10. Tracking

Thanks Storm, I used FC2 with a few mods installed, mainly GYS's F-15 model. I have had Lomac since the days when 512mb of ram was considered pricey and high end. This is the one sim I can't seem to put down, especially when it comes to online play. Just wish the mission editor (especially for Flamming Cliffs 2/BlackShark) was bit more powerful and offered more opitions.
  11. Internet Troll given prison sentence

What he said.. I beg to differ, if he made the decision to spout of his mouth in public it is his choice. Just like it would be the choice of the people who choose to shut it for him (which regardless of noble intentions, can still lead to said people being convicted of a felony). This is a very slippery slope... IMHO, if someone plans or commits a crime in a "private" place, with every intention of carrying it out, then the state (or what have you) has every right to kick in the door and give them a pair of matching sliver bracelets. Likewise if someone willingly and knowingly spreads (or prints) baseless falsehoods to ruin an entity or person, then the state has every right to ensure that grievances are addressed and/or loses are recouped for the damage done. However, if a person has a bad opinion of someone, and it stays in a "private" place; then it either up to that person to make sure he/she keeps it there (and does not take it any further), or the owner deals with the issue accordingly. Yes, the guy who used someone's death as source sick source of entertainment is an a$$hole who deserves to be beat with a wet sack of doorknobs until he turns blue. But it is not the state's job (nor right) to regulate personal opinion, no matter how tasteless it may be. insert name hereI don't like you, I think you are a jerk who smells like fat chick kneecap sweat and old man trouser inseams after a chili cook-off. does not equate to... insert name here I don't like you... Because I don't like you I'm going to hunt you down, beat you mercilessly, and set your car on fire. I know your house is on 123 Fake Street... One deserves a swift kick in the rear, but the other deserves police and/or court intervention.
  12. Scooters.

EFFIN Awesome!!!! The last time I saw scooters fly was when two were streaking out of Oceana nipping at the heels of a F-16.
  13. Hurricane Irene

We are getting near its peak, Sept-Oct is when the huge storms hit the Gulf and East Coasts. Maybe winter will fare a bit better, the Midwest and New England got slammed last year, and the mid-Atlantic caught hell the year before, maybe we are due for a reprieve?
  14. The Blue Mask!

Good stuff, always looking for good music to add to videos.
  15. Hurricane Irene

You can slap a hardened aircraft shelter down in the middle of one of these hurricanes and there is still a high chance it will take damage. These hurricanes don't just spawn winds, but tornadoes (often several at once), and torrential down pours that lead to extreme flooding (the leading cause of death in these storms on the US east coast). I see where you guys are coming from, but nothing is indestructible, and bricks don't float...
  16. Hurricane Irene

Hurricanes are a routine occurrence from the Gulf states up to the mid-Atlantic region of the US, and most people are use to them. However, affordability is the main driving factor. Those who can afford to build (or renovate)in order to mitigate the factors of these storms, but not everyone (in fact most people) can not afford to build and or move into a bunker complex.... We have had strong, category 4 hurricanes blow through here, only to see a few tree limbs in the yard. but we have also had supposedly "weaker" storms come through and wipe out half the state. Mother nature is a unpredictable and uncontrollable thing, and you just prepare for the worst...
  17. Hurricane Irene

I hope everyone stays safe and makes it through, hopefully this joker will swing out to sea. The media has a way over hyping things (hey it gets them attention and ad revenue), but that is still no reason to scoff or take it as a joke. I have seen Northeasters and tropical depressions do some major flood damage to the upper south and mid-Atlantic. I vividly remember getting flooded out during a cat 2, and loosing power for a few days during a tropical depression (flooding uprooted a lot of trees). Everyone in the region laughed off the quake, however; I found out later that some high-rise apartments not to far from my house suffered major structural damage and the residents have been sleeping at a local shelter still waiting to see if they can go home. You never know...
  18. The old girl is still doing her thing with the Air National Guard, just doesn't seem right not seeing her with "AK, FF, or TY" tail-codes. I remember the first time I got see one up close, I was a young lad, and she was still sporting the light compass grey and Tactical Air Command emblems. [video:youtube]
  19. New Battleship film

You mean that singer who has some sort of mental retardation is actually going to "act"?? Geez... Battleship + Transformers 8, I wonder if could get any money for my Monopoly script...
  20. Depends on the year and what model of the Thud. Pre early- 1966 (someone feel free correct or add to this); there were still units that kept their F-105s in the aluminum/sliver skin. Then in the SEA theater of operations some units had a mix of bare aluminum and camo note the famous picture After that period most F-105s had the SEA scheme, but some units operating in Europe kept the aluminum. By the mid 70s and early 80s, almost all F-105s were sporting SEA camo, except for HILL AFB started painting some of their birds "funky" before the plane was with drawn from service. Most Air National Guard F-105s used the SEA scheme. Also to be noted is the painting of the nose cone. The F-105B and F-105D (and later F and G) and slightly different fuselage and nose cone shapes. The F-105B generally had less of the nose cone area painted black. NJANG F-105B (circa mid-70s) DCANG F-105D from around the same time period
  21. If u were gonna buy a game where would u buy it

I prefer Amazon or Newegg over a retailer like Bestbuy or Gamestop. Both usually have the cheapest prices for games, electronics, or pc parts, unless it is some sort of promotional or holiday sale (then you might get lucky and find something decent in a regular store). I have used Amazon's digital downloads for pc games. It gives you a full version downloads of most games without having to use 3rd party downloaders or managers (ie steam). As for shipping..... Both are pretty decent, Amazon's free shipping can be slow and often comes via regular mail. If you pay for shipping stuff usually arrives pretty fast. Newegg's free shipping is often done by UPS. Newegg(or UPS) lost one of my packages once, but after going to their customer service they replaced it. If you use Firefox, you may want to download the "dynamite deals" plug-in when do your online shopping. It searches the major retailers for similar items and prices while you browse items on popular online retail sites.
