  1. Spec Ops: The Line

Stary, it's PTSD - The Game. Shooting becomes the least tense and most relaxing part of it by the end. My heart's still sore Apparently, I still have it. Also, SOTL has Jimi Hendrix in the main menu, Deep Purple's Hush in one of the battle scenes, and Nowhere to Run by Martha Reeves in the speakers during another battle. And no anthem-ish Hollywood orchestra howling to pinpoint the drama, on the contrary the music knows when to shut up. Discounted at Steam at the moment, and for the next ~20hrs.
  2. And now it's all that's left to discuss about the stock game.
  3. Spec Ops: The Line

It's not a combat sim or even BF3-style game, the shooter part if fairly generic and arcade-ey, and the mutiplayer mode follows suite. The game is primarily about the story, choices or absence of them. A six-hour movie with shooting bits to ease the tension. Nah, Heavy Rain is a modern day Dragon's Lair. Well, not counting BD re-releases of the actual Dragon's Lair.
  4. Spec Ops: The Line

Not really. It starts off in the vein of CoD modern warfare shooters, but then dumps flashy heroics and in the end gets depressing as heck. NSFW (and I really mean it). What that gunship shooting gallery sequence can be turned into.
  5. Spec Ops: The Line

Cutscenes of the early parts of the game, introduction to the scene, don't spoil anything beyond the demo And I'm loving the OST. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OETdTpyDjZI
  6. If only "wingmen safe altitude" could be set in the mission planning map screen.
  7. Does it happen on all stock maps on only on the maps with the naval map tag?
  8. A side effect of adapting AI for low level approach over the sea?
  9. The problem is of course to explain to the new generation, that Fagot is not a swear word and a Phantom has the stealth capacity of a rhino in a bathtub. Now, mowing down people with AC-130 is less niche and matches the current TK-fun idea.
  10. That should be reported to TK, since last time I played I definitely remember my P-51Ds being gutted by SAM even when low enough to be an airboat.
  11. I haven't touched June yet, but TK did write recently, that he toned down the SAM efficiency.
  12. DanW, how's locking stuff up preventing people from "stealing your work"? If they want to they'll find a way to unpack the cats and run away with the contents. The only people with their hands tied are legit modders. Not to mention that sometimes all you need to steal is a screenshot. Or lots and lots of screenshots. Just have a long look at this http://lotl.wikia.com/wiki/Backgrounds And, yes, that was released as a commercial title. You can even read the experiences of someone playing it http://lparchive.org/Limbo-of-the-Lost/
  13. Actually, why do clouds still look like sith, while they keep making skin packs (after all the moaning, that high quality skins are expensive as heck)?
  14. Does it come with optional anime physics?
  15. Now I do hope they make it. News dropped in that Russian Knights won't be going to Farborough after all.
  16. Our demo squadron nearly missed Farnborough this year, because they didn't apply for visas in time. I wonder, if the Red Flag team will be better prepared.
  17. Who isn't taking a break from SF2? Haven't touched it in weeks.
  18. It's even easier, if you just park in some forest/city and wait. The deadliest tactic.
  19. Because SF2 AI is known for tight formation flight.
  20. It's Slartibartfast's BD!

BD? Blu-ray Disc? Happy BD, then!
  21. New Chinese Stealth Fighter F60

Aka "bring out your heat seekers"?
  22. Is the depression of the plain AG sight controllable via inis? If it is, would it be possible to create a launcher that lets the user to pick the game.exe, the plane type, the weapon type and the attack profile (speed, altitude) and automatically sets up the mark in the necessary file? A pre-game "automodder" launcher could be used for other stuff too, like changing default loadouts or other minor tweaks (enabling arrow key trim). The main inconvenience of such apps is the need to restart the game for the changes to take effect, but people endured SH3 Commander
  23. I take it "Mideastern" is supposed to be the main negative word here, 'cause otherwise he's no different from the others.
