Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA - first flight!
Gr.Viper replied to Kulbit80's topic in Military and General Aviation
You're so close. - ... will be superior to foreign designs in technical capabilities. - And fighting spirit! - Of course! *laugh* OK, could NATO designation for this one be Fighting Spirit? -

Maybe we should ask The Man for expansion teaser pics? -

Truly a nice pair! Seems like a perfect place to sell TW sims.

Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA - first flight!
Gr.Viper replied to Kulbit80's topic in Military and General Aviation
It's not canned - it's resting. They're planning to get like 50 of them by 2016... should go well with a dozen or so Ka-52. -
You know, since I first saw its engine, I've been wondering, what if someone bothered to make a game combining WWI-style aircrates (with chrome-gilded pipes and strapped-on armor plating), biker gang-ish flying factions, a few flying beasties and combat mostly carried out by personal firearms ranging from flare guns and revolvers to RPGs and harpoons. With fights for precious refined fuel and forest-chomping steam-powered walking cities-airbases naturally.

Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA - first flight!

Soo.. now that Mr. Putin paid the testing facility a visit (and laughed with the pilot which is a detail not one article fails to mention) our dear press is saying that T-50 is going to surpass F-22 AND will cost 2-3 times less. -
SF2: Tomcat Speculation

My guess is flyable Vampires and F-84 (their stock LODs seem well detailed). Sabre? Maybe TK will bring back F-104? Can't imagine the addons without Lightning though. -

No way! What about The Thing? If it gets its "hands" on a jet it'll take over the globe in a week. -

IIRC, TK said it's going to be a "what if" release in the same universe as "what if" SF2:E only in a different locaton. Could be taking place at the same time as 1979 SF2E campaign. Somewhere over Bering Strait? -
It exists http://www.theasylum.cc/product.php?id=164 A review. Sort of... Warning, Will make you want to watch the film. http://thecinemasnob.com/2010/06/10/review-the-asylums-sherlock-holmes.aspx

Hmm, you know, it's watchable. Yeah, it rips off stuff from a few hit movies. The budget is low, the special FX are on some sci-fi TV series level, the actors aren't always perfect, but... It's not preachy, not political and not a PSA. Effects get hilariously bad in a few places, but the overall story is fun, not devoid of intentional humor and definitely not something you'll see in an AAA movie. Sherlock Holmes + T-Rex + Iron Man + Mecha Dragon + Hot air helicopter with machine guns = fun. An hour and a half of it.

RoF 'Hat in the Ring' expansion

Yeah, the new campaigns are a set of scripted missions. Like the tutorial in the original release. Still not even on RB1 level. -
RoF 'Hat in the Ring' expansion
Gr.Viper replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
"Hat in the Ring" has already been released a while ago and, I suppose, that's one of the very few squadrons they could make considering that only SPAD is flyable in the original RoF without addons. -
Actually, under old-school socialism here there was a lot of competition starting with schools and ending with factories. And, boy, could one fail even without a compo. The "everyone gets a sucker" is some new BS.

Our famed education system has reached a new low. Now it's prety standard that most school writing assignments here are copied from the Internet, but this one takes the cake. A 16 y.o. student presented his IT teachers with a "brand new" BolgenOS with his own package of office software and an anti-virus utility. It took him a year to code that. The teachers were so impressed that they've spread the word, then the press got involved and in turn spun the story so that in their report the whole region was going to switch to the brand new wonder-OS. Even got a laptop on the market http://www.space97.ru/item017833.html All that despite the numerous reports that the OS is an obvious Ubuntu distriburion with all original names and credits erased from the code. Same goes for the brand new software which has simply been renamed. http://sourceforge.net/projects/bolgenos/ Reviews section does have some English, like
