  1. Same thing - those sounds are gone. Drop a line to TK, so that he doesn't forget it among other bugs I miss F-8 wing gymnastics hum.

  3. Cyprus is present on the stock Israel map and the Southern part can be reached. Map edge hits slightly further to the North.
  4. If you switch off the engine you won't hear them. The sound is missing.
  5. Has anyone managed to take off using stock AI Spit on Hard FM?
  6. The moment our leader ponited out that it was this bastard, who strafed the only bar in town, the squadron went absolutely berserk.
  7. If anyone is going to put a pit into Vampire, beware. Speed brake key on this one kills stability. Half-second of it enegaged and FB.9 goes down.
  8. I love Meteor. Stable, but roll rate is abysmal, I can spin Thud twice as fast (especially since the latest patches made planes much more quirky). Makes you work for a kill. Mystere is fine. Evelator authority is too low for my taste but still quite maneuverable. Integrated into stock 6DW campaign as well. Mustang... Greatest trouble is slowing it down for landing. I ended up making a 180° turn on one wheel.
  9. Subs and messages appear if you turn on info HUD. Campaign freezes and weird AI landings incuded. As in "not fixed"
  10. Don't fence me in

What if they fly into the trench and drop a bomb into the Earth's core???
  11. Do any of these words embarrass you?

Goodie, finally someone quoting Python's audio sketches :)
  12. Sean Connery charged with money laundering

FYI, that movie starts with him infiltrating a flying stone head that preached to a savage tribe that "The gun is good! The penis is evil!"
  13. f-4 phantom II air intake

That's how it works on MiG-25. Airflow is slowing down in stages. BUT, the shield there also separates intake air from boundary layer.
  14. I just happen to live in the flight path of the planes after they pass the Red Square during the 9th of May V-Day celebration in Moscow. Unfortunatley da choppas take a different route and divert to the South earlier but all the fixed-wing types pass close enough to take pictures. So I did just that. Can't be seen from this angle but those two groups are formed as digits 6 (MiGs) and 5 (Sus). They were passing the RS maintaining the same speed as attack chopper formation below them. Technically I could've taken shots of chopper formations but not in low-level Moscow haze Ok, the rest At this point by some miracle got the manual focus sorted out so the blur after that must've been due to shaky hands and the lens weight. The engine sound of those is awesome! And the thing that made it all possible. Not the WC4, the big all-metal thing next to it.
  15. Sean Connery charged with money laundering

And I thought he had nothing to hide...
  16. f-4 phantom II air intake

Possibly serves to separate normal intake airflow from the air streaming along the nose. At least on Flogger it does just that.

Well, armoured cars are the heaviest thing that appears, but armour thickness hardly makes a difference, since paratroops are short on good AT weapons. Ended up hiding in the bushes hoping for a good hand greande throw. Just checked the scenario agin, seems to be low on bicylcles. But that little unit are the first to come at you from the road North so you remember them well. BTW, did the Dutch get the planes there airborne?

Ah-ha! Found it There's Ypenburg assault scenario in this wargame (free version is fully functional) http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Camo_Workshop/WW2/WW2_page.html Scenario #172 "Air Assault on the Hague" in the patched game. Fun playing for Germany: get troops down, clear the airfield... and get steamrolled by a wave of armour from all sides. Oh, and bicycle troops - never forget bicycle troops.
  19. Jesus hit by a car

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_ODD_LORD_JESUS_CHRIST_STRUCK?SITE=WDUN&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT Luckily he had god mode on, so only got minor injuries.

Speaking of Soviet Union, we've had an old banned interview with Marshal Zhukov broadcast on TV. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article7117531.ece I wonder if the video turns up on youtube with subs for your viewing. 4 times Hero of the Soviet Union was as remote from politics as it is possible.
  21. Looks like a similar huge wheels concept of this plane http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slesarev_Svyatogor
  22. I don't envy the pilots of this parade. Today we have strong gusts of wind, haze over the city (well, that's usual), and their flight path was mostly "head straight into the sun". But they did it

Speaking of.. The US, British an French troops have just marched across the Red Square a few minutes ago
