Weapon station Loading?
Outlaw7 replied to Tantobot's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
You could put a ECM pod to help with the balance, but then again the F16 runs the lantern without anything opposite it. What kind of aircraft are you loading out? -
I messed with my loadouts on the A-10 for the longest time. A place to check for capatability is the weapons editor. Make sure the weapon is configured for the plane-service dates, etc. Keep in mind if you use 6; 5 and 7 will not be available. Lastly make sure you modify the missions in the data ini. Make the ones you want to do primary or else you may show up in the loadout screen empty, and sometimes the game prefers "Attack" over "CAS" in the loadout ini.

Flak in WOV
Outlaw7 replied to Lt. James Cater's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
When flying WOE I can dodge the SAMS, but get a little to close to the ZSU-23-4 and you're history; doesn't even give you time to eject. Best to use a mav on them before you get in range. I thought there was a download that added more accurate AA stuff. Gives everythig from soldier launched to quad sam 8's. -
Help!
Outlaw7 replied to gerald14's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Will this be loadable on WOE? I'd love to fly the desert shooting up the Iraqi Army and their chicken Airforce. I've seen the damage we did first hand during OIF 2; I think it'll be fun doing it from my PC -

It involves getting rid of the radar in the upper right of the screen. -
I cannot find the file which changes the size of the font and target squares. I loaded woe and had been playing wov modified; what a big difference. Any help would be appreciated.

Might actually be some competition for the new Talon I just downloaded -
Is the Normal?
Outlaw7 replied to PythonOne's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Try putting your X52 down to 0% and then use your keyboard to go down to 0%. Throttle up after that and you should be back to normal; if not its probably a issue with your X52. -
I'll let you know after I tinker with it. Thanks

I'd need some schooling on that. I can edit an ini file, but have never messed with the TGA stuff. Could definately use a hand.

wov trees
Outlaw7 replied to Darrin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
This is a very neat effect once you download it. Gives a better "feel" to the ground when you're coming in low ready to let loose -
Can you point me in the right direction. Changing the color would help as much as changing the brightness.

That worked great for all of my aircraft. Nice to see your stats when finished. Thanks a bunch. -

I tried that and I still have the same issue. I included my whole sound file; hopefully you'll see something I don't. I recall reading about the blue screen of death after the mission would end while flying modern aircraft. I replaced my sound files like it said and everything has been fine. Lately, when I press Esc to end my mission it doesn't do anything, but have a blank screen, like it's thinking about going to the debrief, but doesn't. If I press enter or Esc again it kills the game and brings up my desktop. I've only noticed this when flying my F-14D or my FA-18A. It is frustrating after coming off of a good mission and not being able to check your stats. Anyone else have this issue??? I'd appreciate your help.

I guess we can close this topic out now. It's been over a week and 104 readers with no solution. Thanks for taking the time to read it anyways.

I was trying to figure out a way to lighten or darken the HUD display, (day or night missions; any aircraft). There are controls on the cockpit display for it, but I haven't figured out a "software" way to change it. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, have you figures it out? I typed HUD in the search engine and got no response.

Weapons
Outlaw7 replied to Outlaw7's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I've gotten the weapons back for all of my aircraft. I have two new problems that I've noticed. First, there are no fuel tanks on the F-14D, F-15E, and FA-18A. Second, the FA-18A are not always effective on their targets-bombs or missles will explode, but have no affect.
