In the film, you must be able to see thru your enemies minds and thoughts. If you know when they are struggling and when they are strong, you can adjust your war around theirs. Efficiency is a term that is predicated on the goal. If the goal is properly defined, then efficiency should be maximized. Efficiency can be futile if the goal is not properly defined. Like General Schwartzkopf stated: “Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without your accordion.”

Everyone is missing the point here. This isn't a Left vs. Right debate. It's a matter of ME watching SOMEONE ELSE talk about his perspective on the ELEVEN LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF R. MacNamara. Its the 11 Lessons. maybe everyone should watch the documentary like I said before pre-judging his life. Maybe some right wing guys will learn that this vid is about 11 lessons. Maybe the 11 lessons were learned while making mistakes. Maybe a few of them are things that he new ahead of time and wanted to share them with the rest of the world. Maybe some of these lessons are confessions. Maybe some are just plain common sense. Either way, it's not the man that I enjoyed, it's the message. Put all your political BS aside and listen to it with an open mind. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, only that it's a message that makes you think about the process of decision making when it comes to decisions of war. Don't sit here judging actions.....judge the lessons learned. I'll open up this topic for a short bit, but I'll close it in a heart beat if I have to.

Well... I've been way out in left field when it comes to race sims. I was big into NR2003, but moved on to Tac Sims with America's Army. Now I can drive a Hummvee around at 60mph and run over Opfor. When it comes to RL racing, I'm definately an open wheel fan, but I have departed ways with most of it joined the Nascar crowd. I'm getting just sick of nascar and their commercialization and I'm finding IRL and Champ series popularity back on the rise. Sure it may never be like CART was in the day, but trust me when I say that the popularity for IRL is growing by leaps and bounds. F1 lost all popularity after last years Indy race. Actually it was about 3 years ago that M Schumacher's teammate was told to pull aside to let Michael win the Indy event to solidify their owner point win, and that there just killed F1 racing for me. I've played FSOne and it really is a nice mod. I'm glad to see they have improved upon it. I'm just gonna stick to GTR2 and race some cars bumpers.

Paul, Check you legal rights where you live. The seller is usually required to disclose this information. This is the same as disclosing information regarding mechanical problems with the property such as a gas leak or mold, etc..etc... You may be well with in your rights to go back upon the seller to recoupe your lossm and I would definitely do so. There are more then likely annual fees that should be escrowed. My HOA dues are $250/ yr, but if you live in California I'm sure yours are much much higher then that. This is a REQUIRED expense to purchase the home, and much like homeowners insurance, must be disclosed. My HOA is behind the eightball. The let people put up metal sheds and unapproved fences and swings and then to go back and tell the owner that they have to have them removed. It's much easier to put a copy of the HOA covenants on the door for the new homeowner to read. The odd thing is, you never really hear of McNamara making a decision, only collecting the data to form an opinion, and then giving that information to those that actually MADE the decision. He talks about using stats to show Curtis Lemay that he would loose 20% of his Bombers before the Bomber squadrons ever reached the drop zone. They talked about a large part of this being fear, to which Curtis Lemay made the decision to be the lead plane and told his fellow pilots that he would court martial anyone that returned prior to reaching the target. However, without getting into a political debate, everyones decisions are based on the information that they are given. And I'm sure we all know that we can make stats say just about anything we want them to.

Not sure if you guy remember Joe "Dice-Man", but if memory serves me right, he worked on them at Hill AFB and was in charge of the Depot there. I think he stated that the wing mods were gonna extend the A-10 into 2026, and that was before this deal with Boeing. I'm sure the A-10 will be around for another 30 years at least. Might even get Engine upgrades
