Simply spread the word and leave a post in those forums for the modders to save their mods here. We'd be happy to host them. We can simply create a section for X3 Reunion or other games if they fit the genre.

Here's what America's Army is doing to solve the "Mod Issue" There's a team of Beta members that test user created maps. Once those maps are approved and passed by them, they are approved by the Dev team and integrated into the next patch. They become OFFICIAL at that point and you can score Honor Points on them. Only maps can become official at this time whose to say what the future may hold. It would be nice for games like BF2 to take user created mods and find a way to make them official, allow the 360 to download a patch for the game to include that mod. Modders would get recognition, and Microshaft and EA could make a dime off of it (charge for the upgrade) and maybe even give some back to the creating team. Point is, it CAN be done, but it would require the mod to be tested and integrated which requires people, money, and time. All this to make it RUN SMOOTHLY and INTEGRATE porperly with the original version of the game. I'd pay $5 for a third party mod before paying $19 for a Developer add on becuase there honestly is mod teams out there that are doing just as good of a job as the developers themselves. Project Reality and Forgotten Hope are ecellent freebies. Even with the mods, you should still be able to play a stock version, just like you can with the PC. Imagine the possibilities. Fates

LMAO. Ecclestein probably wanted $10 Million from Sony just to allow them to make it. He's brought the series back from it's decline in the last 20 years, but it will be sad to lose the US, England and France over "I WANT MORE MONEY" bickering. The only thing F1 can protect, IMHO, is their trademark, and even UK won't allow that. LOL. You can create a FANTASY series called Formula2 with identical cars, even the same sponsors on them (I don't think the sponsors will mind free advertising) and release it as a mod on the same tracks.....don't see any infringment there....F1 doesn't OWN the tracks..and F1 doesn't own the car manufactures....besides, all the mods are interpretation of design and not 100% accurate....such as bumps, angles, radius, etc..etc...etc.. If they want to release a game with their stamp on it...let them, but when a game like rFactor is released, I simply can't see them doing anything about it as long as you are not trying to use their F1 Logo to promote it's sale. My biggest dissapointment with rFactorCentral is the lack of file hosting. It's an incredible site for that game, and the contributions and editors do an outstanding job. It is being talked about and considered. I've added a forum on Paul's FOTF section under Modding Community so he can share his work and mods.

BF2 became stale for me....until a few mods came out for it.... Project Reality was really awesome. can you get these mods into 360? I don't think so....

After the powersupply went out in my computer, I'm turning it off when not in use, rather then leave it run all day.....does that count? I'm downloading mp3's (legally) so they don't have to carpet the planet with more plastic cd's

Too bad the G25 Logitech wheel doesn't work with the X360. I've got PGR3 and it is incredible as well..... If my kids were more into the driving sim, I'd pick up a copy, but until then...I'll have to stick with rFactor for PC.
