As a sales representative for a large business jet MRO, I can tell you that the biggest reason this was pushed by EJM is the fact that IPADs are $500 vs the EFB's, which can range from $5000-$10,000 dollars installed. The Industry is really getting fed up with getting gouged on Engineering a Certification path, which drives prices through the roof. The IPad was a perfect solution for everyone.
