  1. How about a tutorial focused on creating skin templates? I'm currently trying to create one and I do think that such a tutorial would be a good addition to the knowledge base. I'm not really offering my services here, since I do think that other members here have much more experience in making them and would therefore more qualified to create such tutorial (as long as there is time and interest to do so )
  2. US tanker contract annoucement this week

It's a bit funny, though. Prior the decision it had been said that KC-30 (Northop/EADS' bid) had no chance because it's larger and costs more than the KC-767. Now the USAF states that they have chosen the KC-30 because of its size... There is of course another aspect. Airbus has in fact suffered for quite some time because of the Euro/Dollar exchange rate, since they do pay their bills in Euro, but the prices of their aircrafts are listed in US Dollar. Thus I do think that once they have the KC-X contract for sure (and I do think that this far from being certain at the moment) it will accelerate the relocation of the Airbus production to the United States...
  3. Credits + No payware? Sounds good to me.
  4. US tanker contract annoucement this week

Well, I am surprised. However, I do agree with BUFF, this is not over yet.
  5. US tanker contract annoucement this week

Well, to be honest I do think that Boeing will get the contract and Northop/EADS will receive some sort of consolation ribbon.
  6. IIRC ships that are acting as aircraft carriers are unsinkable...if you check the addon section you'll find some ships that come in two versions, one serving as a carrier and the other as a mere warship, which can be destroyed.
  7. John Wayne

"Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." I think it's from one of his films. It sure sounds like him.

  12. Wow, putting Macross, anime and realism in one sentence...that's bold. It's basically instant death for every sarcasm detector. Anyway, while I have absolutely no interest in anime stuff (it's simply to silly for my taste, sorry) I'd love to see a X-Wing and perhaps even a TIE Fighter in-game. The FM should be interesting...
  13. The A400M program has been a disaster from day one.
  14. I did bring this up becuase after I had moved the front line on Edward's Western Desert map further east I got a mission to strike a target (flying for the German side) that was actually inside my territory. When I checked the target area I was told to attack it turned out that its allegiance was still set to FRIENDLY (which made it an English base). It was a single mission, though. Anyway, I really like what you've posted about the campaign code changes.
  15. Intercept photos

Thanks! And yeah, the nose sections looks indeed a bit strange.
  16. Good point, but if you change the front line (i.e. move it further south), would the allegiance of the target areas that might now be on the other side, switch also? Because the front line doesn't tell you at all which target areas (cities, airbases, etc.) are hostile and which are friendly...
  17. Meh. I do agree with "sticking to your priorities", but that doesn't change the fact that we do not have enough (none, actually) E-Wing Spitfires (IX & XIV)...and that's unacceptable. (At least for me.) But for now I'm already pleased to know that craig is considering to make a XIVE (clipped wings, NO bubble canopy pls), because based on the pics of his Typhoon I'm quite sure that it would be a magnificent model...
  18. Front lines did move already when a ground offensive was on, but it would be cool if you could move them on a specfic date set in the campaign_data file.

  23. Allllright! Make a Mk XIVE and I (might) start to worship you on a daily basis...
  24. Fun fact: I had made those squadron decals (about 60, mostly Spitfire, but also a few Typhoon units) before I began to do those skins. I'm tempted to say that the skins exist because of the decals and not vice versa.
