  2. Did you check the weaponstations? You should pay particluar attention to this line: "AttachmentType=NATO" This caused for me the problem you just described, as my F-104D could load nothing more but fuel tanks and those rocket pods you mentioned. I then changed the line into: "AttachmentType=NATO,USAF" and then, problem solved.

  7. You mean this? This quote from the article in the knowledge base about adding a carrier assumes that you own WOV and therefore have the CVA-63. But fact is that you do not need to own WOV to add a carrier to SF or WOE, as there are plenty of 3rd party carriers available. Perhaps it would be best if this article would be rewritten and then be less focused on adding a particular type of carrier.

  9. The A-10. Perhaps because it's somewhat of an anachronism, when compared to all those 4th and 5th generation fighters. But none of them would ever be able to fit into the Warthog's shoes. WOV/WOE related I would also mention the F-4 and the F-8. I have had plenty of fun with those two.
  10. You find the [TerrainName]_nations.ini in the [TerrainName]. cat. Use the SFP1E extractor to get it. FYI This line points to the carrier in your groundobjects directory, but it can only work if that matches the name of that folder. Since I guess that you have not named the folder for the CVN-75 'CVA-63', it is no surprise that the carrier doesn't show up...
  11. Hmmm, interesting campaign. There seems to be nothing worng with the carrier placement, but what strikes me as odd is how you added additional units. Sure, it's a PITA do add additional units since you have to check the AirUnit number order, but adding them after the stock units, especially when mixing friendly and enemy forces had caused trouble in my campaigns. Thus I am curious whether you could launch a campaign with a French or USAF unit that is listed after the WP units. Also, UnitID refers to the AirUnit number and those do not match in your campaign.ini
  12. Do you have a carrier in your groundojects folder now? Why don't you post the lines of your campaign_data file here, so that other could have a look at it. Just the carrier revelant data, that is carrierUnits and carrier-based airunits. That would make it easier to determine what could be wrong there.

  14. NUMSquadron=5 just means that no more than five units may be stationed aboard the carrier. It has nothing to with the SquadronList.ini

Saratoga is at Tango station, November station is southwest of it.
  17. Could it be that you don't know much about the Vietnam War? Back on topic: WOE may be the better choice with regard to available mods, but i still like WOV more. Also, it has carriers.
  18. One noteable difference would be that some planes (like the USAF Phantoms or the F-100) now have WOE-style hangar screens.
  19. Wrench, I don't think that the decals.ini is the problem here. I have installed several mytai's skin and never had a problem with them. (Except for their size, perhaps. Well, quality has its price. ) Topcat, have you changed the name of the skin folder in any way? Because in my opinion that is the usual explanation for decals not showing up. Example: (from mytai's 1971's VF51 skin) [Decal001] MeshName=wing_left_outer DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=TOP FilenameFormat=f-4b\pacusnvf51 71\D\usa <- if you change the name of the skin folder 'pacusnVf51_71' the decals won't show up anymore.     It's hard to compare the price of a TAVOR rifle with that of an M16/CAR-15 if the latter one comes bascially for free. One has also to consider that the Israeli military simply can't afford to spend extra money, given the size and technological standard of their equipment.

    Heh, I would argue that those political implications had very little impact here. The main reason for buying American weapons is what you said first. Israel has in fact no problems in using German military equipment or selling theirs to Germany. (Or where do you think came the Uzis, called MP2, used by the German Army from?)

    Sure, it is an interesting article, but not exactly something new. Besides, unlike the Kar98s used by the Israeli Army, the "Messerschmidts" weren't even manufactured by the Germans.
  25. I'm no terrain modder, but I think it shouldn't be too difficult to create a new runway type that would look like a highway strip. And the GermanyCE terrain has some nice wide roads. Placement might be difficult, though since I would want those additional runways to blend in into the existing roads. Also, it would only be fun in a campaign setting, with constant redeployments and all.
