  1. perhaps Logitech's software offers it? I know that Saitek's does (& for more expensve HOTAS CH & TM do).
  2. we had some Saudi Arabian Tornados over here recently training alongside 617 Squadron & whilst they were here squadron ops was called "Black Dog" instead on "Nxxxxx" ops
  3. oy vey that's bad (but funny ) Wings over the Negev? It's not a helo sim so I wouldn't expect it to.
  4. It wasn't a BBMF aircraft but a privately owned one (Tom Blair's but he wasn't flying apparently). The Spits quickly formed up & flew over in missing man ...
  5. oops, I missed the Pro in the title & just saw x52 in the body ... Yes, that's true of any Saitek controller other than the type that it was created on - the commands will still be there but just need reassigning. Someone has also made an utility that converts X52 profiles to X52 Pro but afaik it only works under SD6 (beta).
  6. typical navy f$@up

    it's an advert

  8. & not forgetting that for the low, low price that they currently go for you get to support 1 of the very few flightsim makers left & the only 1 afaik that keeps patching his old games upto the latest game engine level for free.
  9. New System

OK, try these on for size. CYA clause Bear in mind that you are getting these suggestions based on my likes/dislikes - you may have different preferences. Prices vary almost day by day let alone weekly & new products are coming onto the market all the time, as I said it's a moving target. Even going for 2HDDs, 2 ODDs, the dearest case, gfx card etc. should still come in under £1200 inc. VAT for the components. If you really want to spend £1500-2000 I can do it for you though ... Going for the cheapest options, single drives etc. is probably ~£700. 10. The Rhinos are coming

Looks like the main benefit (at least for the Indians) was learning how to work/work with an AWACs.
  11. Helicopter sims

the best 3 at what they do (for they all do things differently) are usually adjudged to be LB2, EEAH/EECH series & Gunship!.

  13. New System

oops, sorry I had a week or so without broadband & I guess that I missed your reply during that. I'll get on it again.

  15. imo more a case of the problems running it with XP even if it is possible to workaround them.
  16. 1982 war video question

looks to me like an impact too not just a self-destruct. There is a ground launched version of Exocet too iirc although obviously the missile is designed for anti ship work hence probably doesn't have tfr just some form of altimeter.

  18. You can use other 3D programmes to make the models but ultimately 3DMax must be used to export the model into the format for the game. In other words if you have a 3D programme but not 3DMax you can hand your model on to someone with 3DMax to export.
  19. You can bet that the French will be doing everything possible to get this - iirc they haven't a single export customer for Rafale yet & that in itself makes it harder to get any.
  20. trouble with controllers

you've got to give us more to work on - e.g. what does the error say? How about a link to the wheel, what OS & motherboard that your PC uses?
  21. trouble with controllers

when you say that they won't load from CD what exactly is happening? & if you get a warning about non-WHQL drivers you are clicking on install anyway?
  22. trouble with controllers

tried downloading them & running those? in Device Manager right click the item & select update driver ... you'll need to have the driver extracted somewhere to point it to.
