if it's the single platter 320GB then it's a fast drive.

Tell that to RAF Lossiemouth which had large chunks of it's main runway destroyed by 2 Harriers ... the Harrier jet blast is extremely hot & will affect tarmac if directed down.

It took the NC-4 19 days with multiple stops. 1 month later Alcock & Brown flew a converted Vickers Vimy over non-stop in under 17 hours.

Well, in a country that has relatively little access to guns knives are/were an easily available offensive weapons for the gangs etc. & I say this coming from a city with a reputation for knife attacks (& indeed a German Dr. came over to work in Glasgow hospitals because he had an interest in sword wounds & it turned out that Glasgow is 1 of the world hotspots for those ) However, you also have to factor in the sensationalist press & governments that are more interested in looking good now than actually doing good in the long term. This means kneejerk reactions & hurried, often flawed extra legislation where existing laws if properly enforced were perfectly adequate. Of course the modern PC society in many ways has hindered the police from doing that.

Thank you, MK2 for your selfless support for fellow simmers by financing CA.

They may not have officially been a member for 40 years but they have been very much aligned. We frequently get French AF & Navy aircraft participating in NATO exercises here.

Military rich list - wonder who spends the most!
BUFF replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
we've got a no. of major acquisition projects on the go (Typhoon, JSF, Astute class SSNs, 2 new largish carriers etc.) not to mention the costs of all the services having a far larger % of forces actively deployed than normal peacetime operations & all the associated additional costs that go with that. Still, I notice that the article is marked Moscow & yet Russia isn't mentioned despite them seriously cranking up their rearming ... -
Congrats! (or should that be commiserations )

you can't call Blake's 7 trash ... Servalan & Soolin were hot

well, they are building their own version of the Russian engines for their Flankers - heck, they've even reverse engineered the Flanker so that they no longer buy kits from Russia!
